Yeah, no chance to know this when playing the game back in the day unless you worked on it! The hardest part of recording this video was trying to show the ships, hamburger and computer in the background. They used a random statement in the code so you would often get the same ship multiple times and I didn't want the video to go on for too long!
i mean neat, but what kind of shenanigans is this? KQ4 was on the SCI engine where the pharser interface paused the game and was in the lower-mid portion of the screen, but this is in the AGI engine, similar to KQ1-3. Is this a mod or maybe on the Amiga, which I'm unfamiliar with?
Sierra developed two versions of Kings Quest 4. An AGI version and a SCI version. The SCI engine was new at this stage and not all systems could run the SCI version. I have added some sound to the video. In terms of sound, the Apple IIGS had improved sound over the PC AGI version. This easter egg is only available in the AGI version of the game.
Who would think to do that?!

Is this in the SCI version of KQ4 as well or just in the AGI version?
It is only in the AGI version.

Was that an exit at the bottom of the room?
It is an exit but it just beams you out of the current room. There are no other rooms to explore.
