Lewis Hamilton dropped by the Silverstone volunteer campsite on Friday to show his appreciation to the hard-working people who make the British GP happen!

Lewis is the biggest star in F1 but also probably the only one who has a certain way with people. You can especially see it with the kids. Quite remarkable actually.
It's not just that he's from relatively humble beginnings, it's a certain social intelligence.
Been a fan of this guy for eleven years, and nothing makes me more happy than that, so down to earth, so humble

His hero was Ayrton Senna, and it looks like he is not only following him as a driver, but also as a person who actually cares about others.
Sure this might have been a publicity stunt, but you can see that he is not forcing himself to do it, he is enjoying meeting these people.

Been following Lewis since his karting days. I'm a big fan of his. Haters gonna hate, but fudge'em. He gets the job done on-track, and is a star & all'around nice guy off-track. Sure, he's got an ego, but what world-class competitor doesn't, to some extent? Keep on doing what you do Lewis. You're a great driver... one of the best of all time. You're a great guy... second to none. Even though you're less than half my age, you're my personal hero. Love you bro... keep up the good work, and fight the good fight.

Well said. Also, to your point... No world class athlete gets to be at the pinnacle of their sport unless they have an ego to some extent. Federer, Crosby, Brady, Rory etc etc Some are famously sweet but still have that edge of an ego.

Side-Note: Sort of gives you a bit of perspective into why he was so hard on himself after the race. He feels like he's not only let Merc down & himself, but the fans, marshalls/volunteers, etc.

Thank you so much for coming over to the volunteer campsite. I am not a marshall but a Racemaker and after a long, hard, hot day, it gave everyone such a buzz, providing the pick me up that was needed. A true star. Thank you x

Love this video! Lewis is always saying how much he appreciates his team and the fans. This video proves it. He always expresses gratitude to all who support him. We should all learn from this. Attitude of gratitude that's why he's successful!

This is absolutely wonderful. These Marshall’s r absolutely amazing their our hero’s of F1. Coz of their bravery they help to keep us safe. It’s also very nice to Lewis relaxing and hanging out with the marshals. This is why I’ve always supported Lewis the whole time I’ve watched f1. Team LH44 forever. 🖤💛

This is what we need nowadays - down to Earth behind the scenes, seeing the real people and their real personalities. I am so over the PR crap where drivers can't do or say anything because it might harm "the brand". I'd love to see more videos like this and also stuff about people that actually make up the team - engineers, caterers, truck drivers, everyone.
Of course Lewis will never be "normal" again with all his millions, jets, cars and houses in Monaco but as it can be seen here, it doesn't take much effort to be genuine and down to Earth once in a while. I know I'd do this regularly if I was as rich and famous as him and I think something like this shouldn't really be out of ordinary. It should be normal.
