It took some time for me to get into AoS. Wasn’t until late 2017 early 2018 when Second Edition was kicking off that parts of the lore began to grab me for reasons I couldn’t quite comprehend at the time. It felt…exciting, like I was looking in on something going through a metamorphosis.
Yeah I think it has been really interesting seeing the development of the game and the change from the end of 1st edition through to where we are now. It feels like the creative team have had a lot of fun bringing this rather unique world to life.
I what needs to happen is that more people need to do AoS fan-animations, that way people can get a feeling and understanding for AoS through another medium.
I didn't really get into Age of Sigmar until about a year ago, though I did pick up the little intro box 'Storm of Sigmar' to give it a try when 1st edition was still fairly new. I have greatly enjoyed the lore so far, the minis are just fantastic, and both 3rd and 4th edition have been very fun for me as a lifelong 40k player.
Ah that's awesome to hear. Yeah, I think the lore has been absolutely awesome over the last few years and they have come up with some great ways to enhance the background. You're right on the miniatures too! So inventive! What faction(s) do you collect?
The problem I got with AoS is that I cannot decide which faction to start with. I started out with Soulblight Gravelords, thought I was sure I would start with cities of Sigmar and now i think I will start with Skaven.
Hah yes, that's what I am suffering with at the moment. I have Stormcast and Fyreslayers as my main forces but I also have miniatures for Cities Of Sigmar and I want to make a Soulblight army based on Cado Ezichiar. I think that's where Spearhead might save me!
I am a big fan of the aesthetic of AOS, big fan of the audio books.Callis and Toll, Gotric, Morghist horror series, Hollow King, Daughter Father hunter books to mention a few. I am hoping one day to play more narrative warcry style games.
I have enough on my plate with projects for 40K, but if I were to learn AoS, I'd like to collect the Ogor Mawtribes. I actually wanted to collect the Ogre Kingdoms when they first came out when I was a kid, but it just wasn't something I had the means to get into.
Started mid end of 2ed. Took me all 3ed to fully build out my army. GW removed it in 4th ed. I still like the setting , but with my army gone , my options are rebuy an army , which l can't afford, or hope it returns in 5th ed.
If you're playing with friends then I would imagine that a lot of folks will still let you play with them. I assume it's the Sacrosanct Chamber? Even a lot of people running events have said that they'll allow them if you talk to the organisers before hand. It does suck when armies get pushed out though.

I love AoS! I wish even more people would give it a look :)
Indeed! I think folks need to give it a fair shake! The lore is do cool now!

@@EbonFang_92 Yes, very true! More animations need to be a thing

After years of checking for the damn Gitz moon and finally snagging it, I can finally try AOS

Those books are super great. Love what they did with the horror spin during the last few years. I NEED to play more Warcry and Underworlds myself too!
Love the lore.
Yup, it rocks!

Ah the Ogors are really fun. I think they are probably due an update as well in the near future!

Im slowly being tempted into AoS. Now that old world is out I feel I can forgive GW for trashing fantasy xD
Haha that is fair enough. Is there a particular faction that is tempting you?
@@BecauseOfDragons want to do nighthaunts like scooby do ghosts xD
