Lin Dan was something else, lee absolutely kills everybody but Lin Dan just breaks him.

what do you exactly mean by beautiful movement?
if it is efficiently, nop I'd say cos he played shots late at d net, n at the rear court of his forehand, and at times he is out of balance whenever clears are done to his overhead. my observation..
Imagine being one of the most dominant athlete in your sport and having numerous chance to be your country's first gold medalist or first world champion yet somehow you always lose in the finals again this one guy even though you have won multiple times against him in lesser tournaments.
Lee is without question the second greatest of all time but he existed in the same era as the god of badminton. If you searcher up the most one side h2h if all time lee has like the first 6 in a role all time which shows how insanely good he was then lin vs lee is number 7 in favour of Lin 28-12 just showing lin was still another level

after 2 years from 2008 olympic match, LCW gained lot of skill to compete LD.

Difficult to move out of defence. Assuming your opponents are very strong attackers, it can often be very hard to turn defence into attack.😩

Twice these rallies, LCW had a tight net shot but didn't move forward to ready to pounce, so resulted in LD returning another net shot and lost the rally.
@@yjkuan You act like LCW did not know that. The problem is, if he is overcommitted to the net he becomes too predictable. No one is better than LD at reading games. With one flick of wrist LCW could be in serious trouble for getting too upfront. To make matters worse, LD has a natural tendency to place net shuttles towards the baseline and only occasionally use proactive net shots. So, it's really more rational for LCW to move back immediately after a good netshot in hope to get a even better smash/drop, which is one of the more effective weapons against LD's meticulous defense. LCW continued to use that strategy way after this match and once LD's movements declined after 2014, you can see that it is a effective strategy. (Especially in LCW's three consecutive wins over LD between 2015 and 2016)
@@nihleigleca6702 Agree on your analysis, but the rally at 1:01:40, the shuttle is actually quite low already when LD was taking it, so LCW should have moved forward as if LD lifted the shuttle, it gives LCW enough time to move backward and execute a smash. I suppose he didn't think LD dares to return the net at such low point, a bit careless I would say. On top of that it was a long rally so he was probably tired.
Both are too great.

There is nothing wrong with raising hand. It just tells your opponent that you are not ready to start. It does not insult your opponents or make your opponents getting nervous.
