@@yjkuan You act like LCW did not know that. The problem is, if he is overcommitted to the net he becomes too predictable. No one is better than LD at reading games. With one flick of wrist LCW could be in serious trouble for getting too upfront. To make matters worse, LD has a natural tendency to place net shuttles towards the baseline and only occasionally use proactive net shots. So, it's really more rational for LCW to move back immediately after a good netshot in hope to get a even better smash/drop, which is one of the more effective weapons against LD's meticulous defense. LCW continued to use that strategy way after this match and once LD's movements declined after 2014, you can see that it is a effective strategy. (Especially in LCW's three consecutive wins over LD between 2015 and 2016)
@@nihleigleca6702 Agree on your analysis, but the rally at 1:01:40, the shuttle is actually quite low already when LD was taking it, so LCW should have moved forward as if LD lifted the shuttle, it gives LCW enough time to move backward and execute a smash. I suppose he didn't think LD dares to return the net at such low point, a bit careless I would say. On top of that it was a long rally so he was probably tired.
LCW I believe normally is a friendly, jovial person, but when he gets to the court, he sometimes loses control a little bit. Like what he did with Igarashi Yu.
Cuz Lin always waits for his opponent to be ready first, whereas Lee sometimes serves rashly before his opponent is ready. hah who's the gentleman here
