- Gotta love the DLC for finally giving us Martial Arts !
It's not perfect cause we only get 2 styles, and one of them is only a variation of the first one, but still, it's awesome.
Thanks to modding we can get more of them in the game, and for Raster's Mod, starting with this first one, Fundamentalist Arts!
I got a few more ideas for more so I can get that weapon category to look a bit less thin.
It's also my first Martial Arts moveset, so please do tell me if anything looks wrong.

You really nailed the visual effects for this one’s attacks. The light pulses and shiny leg kicks look sick. I can only imagine how cool I would feel to be a fighting and enemy with this.
The AoW looks a bit much though. I think only applying the effect on the arms and legs would help, or just scaling up the pulse effects in the attacks would be better and feel like the power is in the attacks and not an aura buff. Also, I would advise against a flat holy buff, a percentage buff or a bigger faith boost would probably be better but still not overpowered.

This is literally so cool I love how the moveset looks and the heavy attack is awesome especially with those visuals and sound effects
If I'm being very critical of the moveset, I do have one big change that i think would make this weapon feel more vanilla if that's what you're going for. It would probably be a ton of work to implement, but it could be cool have the moveset to look similar to the base-game martial arts weapons until activating the aow, which would then add the holy effects and special heavy back in, similar to the Golden Tempering aow on the ornamental straight swords.
@@mikewazowsk5057 I disagree. The moveset of an entirely different weapon SHOULD be entirely different. Having to AOW every time we want the modded moveset would get annoying imo.

We missed an opportunity to have some special moveset hand to hand arts weapons. Im sure they could have balanced their numbers so they dont directly outclass the regular less flashy ones, but modders once again doing an even more amazing work. People like you deserve to be hires by Fromsoft really.

Though, I do have a minor nitpick: The Golden Buff Aura. The effect is a bit to strong, it really obscures your whole character. A more subtle effect would have been great imo.

Moveset looks great. The AoW buff effect is a bit too shiny for my taste but to each their own. It also peeves me that the Golden Order equipment does not scale with Int/Faith like the spells do (looking at you Golden Order Greatsword) but it’s entirely up to you if you want to continue that trend. Wonderful work.
the buff effect is most likely gonna change for something more subtle.
As for the scaling, I think keeping it on Faith is better, so I'm not gonna change that much.
On the spell side, I've yet to do much edits to them, but once I'm happy with how weapons have turned out, I'll be doing updates to spells and incantations, in a similar fashion to what I'm doing now.

Pretty cool! Interesting choice to go for another moveset on L1 instead of block, i appreciate it. And good work on the projectile, too, quite like the strong attack visual.
This should be an Intelligence/Faith weapon like the Golden Order Seal and incantations. Theoretically a "Night and Flame Arts", "Death Ritual Arts", and "Gelmir Arts" would also fit into the Int/Fai category.
Amazing! Could you ad a small clip of you fighting through a enemy hord? Like Gatefront Ruins...Would be awesome to see these weapons in action!

Nah, for real, most moded movesets have really flashy moves that take a long time to finish. And especially rolling attacks should be quick. Great weapon!

Hey love the new Moveset, could perhaps look at the black gargoyle weapons? They are unfortunately really bland and cannot be infused with different ashes of war.
Would be awesome to see more destined death in them!
Whatever From does next, they better be at least half as cool as these mods.

@@RasteroftheUniverse i think he meant that its small but its very high quality. in a way that was the DLC when it came to the weapons. they added way too few o the new ones and we had a handfull of redundant stuff here and there.

I would recommend you using a different sound fx to the magic casting animation to the attack input animation, I'm sure there is something else that can be used to give it a more fundamentalist "Holy" sounding vibe to the attack inputs
I used to use a different sound FX, it sounded more "holy" but it was also much louder and much more annoying to hear in repetition.

Wish you would do one for Darkmoon greatsword too, plus what are you using? DSanimation 4.9 no longer work for dlc and I don;t know how to open .dcx files with smithbox .

Wait..... Are those same attack animations that Nioh 2's fist's have? Or at least some of them are.
It's a mix of mostly Nioh 2 stuff, with some Sekiro and some DMC5 in it.

Are there any benefits to using the ranged R2 attack when two handing instead of one handing? The charged R2 attacks appear fundamentally the same for one and two handing, could maybe increase the size of the bullet and hit box a bit if there is a damage difference? Better range or tracking?
Aside from my questions about the R2 attacks, this looks great! Agree with some of the other fellas that the aura of the AoW could be a bit more subtle but I think it could look good as is too, maybe with some different armor or something would help.
Those are some good ideas for the ranged R2s, I'll implement them in the future.
