As a hairstylist I would give you one simple correction on how you use it.... especially if you want more thickness... milabu you should lower your chin just a little bit.... when you have your hair straight you risk tiny pieces that poke our from underneath, but if you tilt your head down a bit you automatically make sure that no strays to mess up the look of the hair... remember that your head is never completely straight up... when we are taught ( at least here in Denmark) we learn to have the client tilt down especially for the first pas ( the underneath layer) but as this tool doesn’t work in passes, you can create the same effect just by tilting the head ;)
I have used this for years for my daughter with sensory issues who cannot tolerate having her hair touched for more than a few minutes. I put it on and use a clipper across the bottom- super fast. After a break, I clean up any stray hairs with scissors. People always ask me who cuts her hair because it is so even. She has straight, shoulder length hair.
I've used this a lot. Is it the best haircut? No. Does it make really nice layers? Not really. Is it dirt cheap? Yes. Does it work for stupidly fast-growing Polynesian hair? Absolutely.
I wasn't able to make it work for me. I'm also Polynesian but my hair is mixed texture (I'm mostly white, but my maternal haplogroup is straight from Polynesia).
It makes great layers, if you comb your hair upside down, in front of your face, head facing down. You won't get any layers, if you use it like in this video.
I’ve been cutting my bangs with this tool for years now. My husband uses the blue tool with his electric razor. It definitely saves us allot of money in bang trims.
How lucky you are to have such a wonderful and patient husband. Its transparent that you two have a calm, healthy and trusting relationship, even the way you both look at each other when speaking to one another is just lovely. You & Andrei make a fantastic team! I totally gasped at the moment in the video where you put the blue one in your hair and it looked like you were ready to whack off your bangs! I let out a loud "No No No OMG what is she doing?" LOL 😆😱
Just to avoid confusion for someone who may want that softness at the ends. It's actually point cutting. A 45 degree cut creates a stack for stacked Bobs. It is elevated at a 45 degree angle. So for anyone asking a hairdresser for this cut, you want to ask for point cutting into the ends, not a 45 because they will give you a stack when you may not want one. Also a tip for Andre - try holding the shears with your thumb and ring finger for more control.
Hi from the uk , I too have this set , I would normally cut my own hair but now my husband does the back for me I just do front and sides , I couldn't believe how quick he did it , I saved so much money we wouldn't be without it. Love it x x
I’ve been using this tool on myself for years now and it’s great! I only go to a hairdresser if I want to change my style but for trims this is all I use!
I've been using the Crea Clip for years. Absolutely LOVE it. I have my husband use the small blue clip on me for a slight ALine bob 😉😁 Comes out perfect every time without fail.
Ok, this I do need. I trim my girls hair every now and then and this will take the guess work out of it. I've gotten other products you review and love like the Revlon detangler brush...❤. Getting this!
My husband has been cutting my hair in lockdown and all we use is a plastic ruler and clippers! We do it when my hair is wet, he places the ruler level along the bottom of my hair, depending on how much I want cut off, gets the clippers and away he goes, done in seconds. We check it when it’s dry and do any tidying up with the scissors, which are very rarely needed. My husband is a plasterer and has a great eye for the minutest of detail, so I trust him implicitly. No more paying for over priced cuts and no buying of gadgets, just using what we already have. I get comments on how lovely and straight my hair is 🙂
I’ve had the Crea hair clips for years now and I use the large one to give my grown daughter haircuts. I don’t use scissor. I use rechargeable electric clippers. It’s so fast and easy. Good demo. 🌸❤️🌸
You should try the blue one it holds your hair better and its better for fine hair it doesn't slip and it makes your hair straighter looking at the back i have thick hair and that's the one i prefer.
I had no idea this existed & I'm FASCINATED!! 😍 It's been almost 2 years since my last haircut & I can barely get a brush through my split ends. I've tried to convince my husband to trim my hair but he's not up for it lol - I seriously think he might love this product, especially because it has a spirit level 😂 I'm so happy to see such an innovative tool - even if it has been around for years (as other comments are saying) It's the first time I've seen it, so thanks for introducing me to it! 💕 👏
From Belgium, i also have this set (at least for 10 years!). Remember i ordered it online in the usa. Paid a lot of taxes too ;-) But have been using it since and i love it! Cannot live without it. Also do layers with it. I believe creaclip has a lot of instruction videos online too.
I have had these for years, great for saving money on haircuts, I use for haircuts for myself and daughters. Can be a bit tricky to use on thick hair and getting the clip to shut, wish they made a wider one for thick hair.
I love this product and it's amazing. Because with the big one it has a curve on it and my mom did my hair before. We also use the men's clipper and it works amazing.
I've never used the big one but I've used the smaller one for the same thing. I bought the smaller one as part of a kit that came with various hair scissors so that my husband can cut my hair easily without dealing with the risk of it being a mess. I've been growing out my fried hair for 18 months now so I have my husband trim it every 6-8 weeks, he's deployed for the next while so I'll just be letting it go until he gets home. I have fine hair and not a lot (3 year olds have more hair than I do, when pulled into a pony tail it's smaller than a quarter coin/$0.25) plus it's naturally a 3B/C texture so the smaller one works fine for me, my hair looks best with a blunt cut straight across and then go over it with feathering scissors so it's not as aggressive which makes it look fuller. Highly recommend it!
I have a question... Does it hold the hair well enough so that one can cut her own hair? I mean, once the hair is secure in there, can you bring in front of your face and cut it yourself?
If you have super long hair, yes. If it's shorter it's much more difficult to bring to the front to cut. It really does help to have someone else to cut from the back. Alternatively, there is a method to flip your head over, turn the clip upside down, and cut to create a "layered" look (not a true layered look but it's not bad).
Had that for years! 🧡 that product is freaking amazing Since Covid & salons being closed I have been doing my own home haircuts, nails and my own waxing and eyebrows and cutting my own bangs I never want to go to a salon again I even have been doing my own bleaching and toning and even though it’s not as perfect as the salon I can do it whenever I want at the spur the moment!
Andrea just an FYI, you are holding the scissors backwards! Put your thumb thru the single loop and your ring finger thru the loop with the scoop. The scoop is used to rest your pinky on. It is designed to give better leverage and control!Reverse the scissors and you’ll get a better cut making for a sharper cut not being backwards! I love the video and Andrea you did a great job and you can cut my hair any day...👍🏼👍🏼up‼️😍☺️
I really enjoyed this video. This is an awesome tool for easy at-home haircuts and trims. I've had this tool for several years, and my daughter uses it to cut my hair shorter or just trim my ends every so often. We use it just as you did. Except we cut a blunt edge more quickly and easily by using electric hair clippers. It quickly and accurately clips the hair right at the edge of the CreaClip. It is also much easier to cut the hair precisely while holding the CreaClip level with your other hand. Much easier than scissors, if you are looking for a precise blunt cut. 😊
Omg your hair is soooo beautiful, I'm so glad you didn't cut too much off! Let it keep growing, I think it would be super fun to see how fast you can get it down to hip length :)
I have one and I was impressed with how well it held. I did not get a great haircut but it was better than freehanding it. Can't wait to go to a real stylist soon, though. lol
FYI you’re hair is shorter on the left cuz you have breakage probably due to being right handed (I’m guessing)and pulling out ur ponytail/buns out with you’re right hand. I had the same. Started unwinding them more carefully ❤️loved the video and ordered to trim daughters long hair
You should really do those front layered pieces too. It will make it look thicker as well. As the hair.gets dead ends it looks see thru towards the bottom. He did a great job so doing the front should be easy too. Great review. Thanks
My hair is a little finer then hers and I use the blue bang clip because my hair is super slippery. I section out my front and just cut the back with the clip. then I can match it up without the clips in the front. I bought it 4 years ago because I had a hair cut that ruined my hair! I asked for a short Bob because I thought it would look better with my extreme post partum hair loss. the hair dresser thinned my hair! then said she isn't use to doing modern hair cuts. How is a Bob modern? she was the owner of the salon! I will always cut my own hair after that. It took twice as long to grow out because I was loosing chunks of hair at the time.
Interesting. I'll get my husband cut hair 😆 and I can cut my daughter hair. Curious how would think go on wavy hair? Wonder if we have to straighten it to do this.
If cutting hair at home 🔈 INVEST IN HAIR SCISSORS... After the first time cutting my hair regular scissors almost ruined my hair. Nearly every hair was split on the end and I know it was the kitchen scissors bc I held it up to the light and and trimmed and I could SEE 👀 the hairs splitting as I cut it!! Hair scissors are a lot more sharp and leave a clean edge.. your welcome lol
I experienced the exact same thing! Trimmed my split ends off with a pair of regular scissors and was confused to see the ends of my hair we’re still split, I bought some hair scissors and not only did they leave a clean cut, the sharpness made it so much easier!
It’s also because he is holding the scissors backwards! The thumb goes thru the other loop, the pinky rests on the little scoop that comes off the loop. This makes a big difference when cutting the hair and won’t be as sharp. It’s like when shaving in only one direction...won’t be a sharp shave!
So I’m totally buying this 😂 but I do have a question-are you supposed to cut your hair dry or wet? (I have fairly naturally straight hair). Any replies are appreciated.
Depends on the hair and the look you want.... Wet hair is a tiny bit longer than dry, and makes it easier for hairstylists to cut the hair because it’s easier to keep tension... I would say, never squeeze the hair in the clip when using it... if you have so much hair that the clip starts to bulge, I would instead section the hair in to parts that fit in to the clip to a point where the sides are parallel... depending on the that can be anything from one to 5 sections.... Starting with the nape section cut the length with the head tilted slightly down, and when you take the next section remember to include a slice from the previous section to work as your guide.... when working from the nape out, and keep the hair straight down, you can make sure to cut each section just e few millimeters longer than the section before, that way you won’t have any peekaboo strands that stick out underneath your haircut.... And remember, cut the hair to a point slightly longer than you think you want, because of the tension on the hair, the strands will spring up a bit and look shorter....
Yay I was wondering when you cut your hair. You're so awesome testing this on yourself. Guys I'm sure she can afford a real haircut she just wants to do this. I had to cut some of the back of my hair cause it wasnt right lol I'm never happy with my hair cuts.
Welllll can I do it on myself ? Ms. Milabu I have 3 times what you have of Hair.... will this gadget work on Super Thick Hair ? did not see my answer on your video. Anyone I would truly appreciate the answers; I have been cutting my own hair and still learning but I don't want a V / U Cut for above shoulder Hair Length. Then I cant find a decent video to show how to cut my hair ...easy easy way. Thanks you Milabu and To All.
Great advice that really makes sense!!
Awesome advice 💛💛💛💛
That is so kind of you to share that information 😃
Whenever I get my haircut professionally they say to tilt head forward so makes sense
Well said! I came to suggest the same.
Andre seems like such a sweet and patient husband!
I love seeing them together. so sweet
I got this exact product from eBay 10 years ago... it’s great 👍... been using it to trim my hair for years 😀😊
He’s a gem ❤️!
And she's annoying
I'm 💯 convinced that he's gay

I purchased this recently, and it does not even grip the hair and my hair is very thick, waste of money
Love that it has a level. All's good if you're standing straight. My hair stylist always makes sure my legs aren't crossed when she's cutting my hair.
I’ve been cutting my bangs with this tool for years now. My husband uses the blue tool with his electric razor. It definitely saves us allot of money in bang trims.

I have this set and use it to cut my hair. It work well. I use it to cut layers by flipping upside down.
Ooooh good idea! Any specific angles? And you were able to do it yourself??
Yes, I think it was designed to make layers. Upside down, just like you said. Comes out beautifully.

I'm getting this! I have hair much like yours. What a money saver.
My husband cuts my hair with this. Love it! Good job!

I had this set for a long long time, always worked well but it is better to have someone do it for you, and yes if you have thin hair it will slip out
They have a new clip for thin hair. I love their current scissor too. I use it to layer my hair. It’s so easy!
Can you do an updated curling hair routine with your longer hair in the twisting the curling iron technique?
I love this product and it's amazing. Because with the big one it has a curve on it and my mom did my hair before. We also use the men's clipper and it works amazing.
I so need to get one. Thank you little Mama.
I've use this for years and it works just fine! 😃

I love those scissors! I started cutting my toddler’s hair back in Jan 2020 and I’m still using those scissors and no issues!
I have one and I was impressed with how well it held. I did not get a great haircut but it was better than freehanding it. Can't wait to go to a real stylist soon, though. lol
I’ve had it for years and use it all of the time!
Have been using this for years to cut my daughter's hair and it's great. It's even easier if you use an electric hair trimmer rather than scissors.
looks like the tool gets in the way of a precise cut.
Omg this is so helpful for doing both of my daughters’ hair! Is it best to do it dry?? Thank you!
Couple goals 🤍
Really like it !! Was afraid he was going to cut to much!!! But didn’t
Omg, where was this when my daughter was little and I trimmed her hair?? I am going to get this for her asap!!
Relationship goals. That’s it. 🙌🏼❤️
Great job Andre!
FYI you’re hair is shorter on the left cuz you have breakage probably due to being right handed (I’m guessing)and pulling out ur ponytail/buns out with you’re right hand. I had the same. Started unwinding them more carefully ❤️loved the video and ordered to trim daughters long hair

That's a nice tool and Andre is nice and sweet . I love your hair, it came out so good 👍.
Thank you for this review, especially since this is my first time hearing about this product! I will definitely be buying this!
How do you do it yourself since you can't see the bubble to level it.I want an even length
What if someone has really thick hair? How would you suggest cutting it using the clip?
I’ve cut my own hair for years with my crea clip. Great video!
I almost fell off my chair when you showed a picture getting bangs 😂😂😂😂😂
I wonder if using a clipper would make this process even easier?
Do you take Hair vitamins to grow your hair?
Does it matter if the curve is upward or downward

I need this! Thank you!
Interesting. I'll get my husband cut hair 😆 and I can cut my daughter hair. Curious how would think go on wavy hair? Wonder if we have to straighten it to do this.
This has been around forever I remember seeing an ad video cut here in UA-cam back in 09.😅😅😅😅😅❗
I’ve had it probably for that long it’s really amazing and I’ve been using it on my bangs for probably that long!! 😍
