I agree completely with the idea that Blackbeard doesn't possess conqueror's haki. To me, his personality never seemed to align with those that do. Examples like Luffy, Zoro, Kaido, Big Mom stick out to me as totally indomitable; they basically do whatever they please at all times, without fear of consequences (though not necessarily without regard; the straw hats obviously care about others and their feelings). Blackbeard comes across as much more calculating, opportunistic, and risk-averse, and I think this points to him being much more fearful at his core. He won't face down situations that he isn't certain he can handle.

We know that not all devil fruits can be overcome by haki alone. Law managed to overcome his devil-fruit created disease with it, but no one turned into toys was able to use haki to break out of that. It depends on the specifics of each devil fruit, but an ability that makes you gigantic or super strong is not the sort of thing haki can directly undo. You just have to deal with the devil fruit granted strength and mass.
do you think shanks or whitebeard or bm would have been affected by sugar's fruit? I agree. some devil fruit powers you can't JUST haki counter, but those would be the more genersl fruits like fire or ice or electricity. you just have to be tough enough to deal with it. but i 100% believe that sugar's fruit could have been counteracted by strong haki. non of the characters who were affected by her fruit had strong haki

Power scaling based fights are frankly dull, so the notion that we may have a haki focused crew like Shanks fighting a devil fruit based crew like Blackbeard, and that there's no telling who might come out on top, is very interesting to me. The thought that even the most powerful haki user might get turned into a toy or rubber and they have to handle it in other ways, like depending on their crew's abilities, or that a powerful devil fruit user, at the end of the day, can be taken out with a bucket of water, well THAT is great stuff. There's a reason Superman has a weakness to a green rock.

Corvo based on Oda's drawing of his childhood, he has the pipe that sabo/ace use from in grey terminal, while also riding a wild animal. Plus, maybe Dragon is from Goa Kingdom itself? like edge town or central town, since he was wandering around edgetown when he ran into Sabo, separate from the rest of the revs, almost as if he was reminiscing. Kuma also says Dragon is familiar with Goa Kingdom itself, before he mentions that he also saw Dragon at Foosha Village. Maybe the 3 generations that went in 3 different directions will have 3 different starting points too
Sabo is originally from a noble family in the High Town, but for a time, he collected treasure with Ace on Mt. Corvo. So it can’t be completely ruled out.

I was interested in the details Oda released on how Bluegrass' ride-ride fruit power works. One translation stated that she could control any creature that was in the same range as her haki range, another translation stated that she could control any creature who had less haki than her. Are either of these translations correct? If so, it seems like this is the first time we have seen a fundamental aspect of a fruit's ability to be directly powered by the user's haki. I wonder if this says something deeper about the nature of haki powers in the one piece universe . . .
im not sure it's possible for blackbeard to not have conqueror's haki considering his ambition and attitude. the battle beyond simple power levels exists even if he has this ability. its just a reflection of personality type
Many ambitious characters don't have conquerors haki. It could always be the case for Blackbeard, especially considering he can have more than one devil fruit. How OP do you want him to be!? 😂
And Blackbeard not having conqueror's haki is fitting for me, that haki goes according to the persons personality and can't be obtained, and as we know Blackbeard wouldn't try achieve his dream if it wasn't because the fruit got close to him, he is opportunistic not a conqueror
