Talk about not paying attention. Doing stupid stuff when a squad car is directly behind you. And, speaking to the "I chose the wrong lane", Plan ahead and use your navigational system. I get drivers make mistakes, but bad drivers make many many more!
Many roads are that this long to the next intersection. Sometimes make a right turn and then immediately need to make a left turn cutting across a lane or two of traffic.
Stanley, that used to be my pet peeve, trying to sneak in at the last minute. I would also start my contact with say, "I know you are more important than everyone else." I am the Cop in "The Belly of the Beast" segment
Some of us have gotten too comfortable driving like crap. As a bus operator in Marin county, I see it all too often. There's going to be a day when our driver's license are about to expire, we're going to have to retake and pass the drivers test in order to get our licenses renewed. Maybe then, people will change their driving poor habits.
It's funny that he could of just waited until a green light to turn thus still blocking anyone wanting that exit lane and yet it be perfectly legal. When I passed my drivers test someone layed on the horn while I was at the start of a left protected turn because my car would of been in the intersection. Then said driver aruges with dmv instructor and I'm just focused on the road. I joked with her at the end "ge was so angry at his time being wasted yet he chewed us out for a good 50 seconds when he had the option and right to get on highway 99.
The"California stop" is not the same as running a stop sign and it's time to officially make it legal. Blowing though a stop sign when you don't have the right of way is dangerous and bad, but slowing down to 5 MPH when there's no other traffic present is more than reasonable and should be permitted.
The problem with making California stops legal is where do you draw the line... Remember the old statement, give then an inch and they will take a foot.
@@alexchavez4978 Exactly, this is the solution. Stop overusing stop signs and use yield signs instead where appropriate. Stop signs are supposed to be used in locations where your view of oncoming traffic may be obstructed, instead of at every intersection.
A big news network needs Stanley's talent on Caught Misbehaving , these are educational, fun and just a good all around watch.
Thank You 🙏🏾
Same here in Ohio Stanley, not turning into your lane is a big one😁
Sure is
Just saw it here in Albuquerque along Central. SUV blocking the ART bus lanes, then making an illegal u-turn.
Thank you Stanley👍
THIS is why I love Stanley's work as a journalist!

Even google maps make errors sometimes not stating what lane you need and thusly taking longer or people making terrible merges.
@@fire2box And, that is precisely why you shouldn't rely on Goole, Apple or Waze maps. Pay attention to the road and use your eyes!

Another great episode

Zooming or texting while driving = the new “putting on makeup or shaving” while driving. 🤦🏻♀️
Don’t follow the other drivers…follow the law.
I was shocked to see that first guy actually use his turn signal!
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
U should come to oakland and ride with some officers willing to do their jobs. Everyday and getting worse 👍🏼
i'd love to see a focus on turn restriction violations. I see so many people ignoring those signs!
idea for story. I keep seeing people who have altered their plates to remove the reflective white part. i assume it is to trick traffic cams.

Stanley come to south gate California and to imperial highway at 710 freeway north on ramp and watch people cut over at the last minute
😅😅😅😅 she will do it again

@@MrBadlyTVAgreed, we have yields and stops for very good reason.

Ever been hit by a 3000 pound suv going 5 mph on a bike? Try it sometimes and you'll see why stops are required.
