Well done! To the woman who jumped first - Brilliant for a first timer. I live 30 minutes from the bridge and I jump once a week and have done so for the past 15 years. Your first jump was brilliant.

Easy to get there. Take N2 from George travelling East - by pass Wilderness, Sedgefield, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, The Crags and then drive for about 25 minutes - it is signposted on your right Bloukrans Bungee Jump. It perfectly safe. Not one casualty ever. The walk over the airbridge is hilarious - well for me it is - because I see grown men holding onto the banisters - like thats going to help you if the bridge collapses - it wont. You jump according to weight so the lightest person in your party of friends/family goes over first. You are filmed from the time you are moved to the end of the bridge so try not to look horrified. They will strap your feet together, check your harness, connect you to the ropes, help you jump to end of the bridge and have their arms around you for a minute or so, then its 3 2 1 BUNGEE and off you go. Swallow dive off the bridge and you will suddenly notice that you are seeing the sea upside down. It costs R1000 - around $75. Its brilliant - it truly is - I do skydiving and paragliding and scuba diving and absolutely nothing compares to this. The jumps is 216 metres.

Can I ask you something? How long (from the moment you're kind hanging still) do you have to hang upside down untill they come to lift you up? Maybe i will get a chance to jump off this bridge as well, but I'm actually more concerned about the hanging upside down haha. Its just so uncomfortble 😄

Yeah you are hanging upside down but the ropes pull you up and bounce you down again. Then a man will appear next to you in a harness and he will take you up to a platform via a winch. Its about 4 minutes I would think.
