Before the Anglo boere war there was a small amount of blacks bordering Johannesburg into Zimbabwe. They were recruited by the boers to help fight the colonialism of the British empire. The only people that are truely native to South Africa.. Are the Khoi and San people or commonly known as the bushmen. This is a country like so many others... Invaded and build up by slaves from various parts of Africa including Javanese slaves.. Who were brought in for their craftsmanship. Our country is rich in natural resources.. But like the previous government before 1994.. We have reverse apartheid now. It is a minority of people that is blatantly racist. We are a very diverse country. I stay in Cape Town and not only are we the windy city.. We are also called the sleepy city.. Due to our very laid back demeanour. Until Cape Town comes to a point and the whole of Africa.. Comes to a standstill. No majority of us are not racist.. Neither are we robbers or killers. Like many countries politics rules and white collar crime is rife. I can go on about our history and what is happening at present. People need to know that like in any foreign country.. That they might visit, there will always be crime and violence. Depends who you mix with not all people in our beautiful rainbow nation are bad.. The same as in all other countries.. For example not all in India not all Hindus hate, Indian Muslims. Come to South Africa with an open mind. Our country has been through a lot, so has my people and by saying my people I mean my rainbow nation. I am aware of everything that you've commented on 😊 I was even fortunate to have travelled your entire country by road , from Cape Town, up along the West Coast upto the Orange River at Vooisldrift through to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier, across North West , over to the Limpopo & Mpumalanga, Drakensburg, KZN, Eastern Cape, across the Karoo, the Free State , Garden Route , Wine Route...I left no stone unturned!It took me 5 trips & I am ready to do it all over again. Every person I met was friendly, helpful and beautiful. I met Artists, Poets, Farmers, Musicians, people from every race and community...SA so aptly called the 'Rainbow Nation'. I have a special bond with SA through special people I met in my life...and I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life. Kaapstaad is beautiful, and there is still so much to see and experience outside your cities. I was fortunate to have met a Bushman near Twee Rivieren , gone on a Shark Cage Dive at Gansbaai, Swum at the beautiful Kraalbaai lagoon, taken a dip at the rockpools of Tweede Tol and camped out at Coffee Bay...I can't begin to express how fascinated I am with your country....my 17 picture albums still don't do any justice!! @@gordanazakula4927 i wont lie to you, yes they are(i reside in one of them Khayelitsha), there are plenty of reletively safe places you can visit in SA (including some limited areas in the townships aswell) but you need to exercise extreme caution, as beautifull as SA is, its no paradise

I looked at Table Mountain on a daily basis from my bathroom window at Disa Park overlooking the mountain the clouds would either fall down on the forest beneath or it would sit like table cloth on top. We spent our first 2 years of our married life living & working in Capetown my boys Glen & Grant attended school at Vredehoek primary. The mountain would speak to me every day is was quite an experience to hear the rustle of the leaves

I especially enjoyed the last bit because The Drakensberg Mountains is my favourite part of the country where I would go hiking and camping with my family and friends once a year for many years. I hiked up Cathedral Peak and the Amphitheatre. Great memories!

South Africa is so beautiful, so beautiful its almost like a picture, oceans,falls,lagoons,mountains, i must watch this video again and plan my first international tour, This is the other face of africa billions have never seen across the entire world
I just want to mention that we get our wine-making culture from the French Hugenots. Many Afrikaners still have French surnames. Their traditions can especially be seen in Franschhoek, which means "French Corner".

We are so lucky to be living in such a beautiful country... Love it... We, my husband and I, have explored the garden route... We planned on travelling from Cape Town to Durban... We got to Port st. John and decided to camp at 2nd beach...it was most amazing... We spent the last 10 days of our holiday there and drove straight back to Johannesburg where we live... 😍❤️

I looked at Table Mountain on a daily basis from my bathroom window at Disa Park overlooking the mountain the clouds would either fall down on the forest beneath or it would sit like table cloth on top. We spent our first 2 years of our married life living & working in CAPE TOWN my boys Glen & Grant attended school at Vredehoek primary. The mountain would speak to me every day is was quite an experience to hear the rustle of the leaves
