Can confirm your not joking. I'm admittedly one of those people, even as an adult i sometimes look outside at night and well I'm aware its irrational, swear i can hear the horns or faint stomping in the distance and become gripped by fear for a moment. I grew up listening to the radio version and musical of WotW, and neither bothered me, nor did the movie. But the movie really put a truly terrifying sound to the concept that stuck.
I listen to machinery for sleep all the time. You’ll find me posting a lot of drone sounds, machinery sounds, etc. I even listen to the sounds of distant war while sleeping 😂
@@timeisaflatcircle I can relate to this. I found the pleasure of dark and menacing background music in the old days by playing Silent Hill 1-2. There is something hypnotic yet calming about this type of ambient sound.
I don’t mind people using it for streaming and gameplay. I’d rather the raw audio wasn’t reposted on UA-cam as a lot of time is put into editing these.
I posted an 8 hour version but no horns, battle sounds, etc. I thought people would like the longer one for the repetitive walking. It’s more suited to sleeping.

Can you recreate the ambient sound of the Tripod's footsteps in the distance, gradually approaching you, growing increasingly louder as they pass by your hideout? Following them are additional sets of Tripod footsteps, including one more set. It builds the suspense.
I could, but it’s a very specific request. I’m not sure how many people would enjoy it as an ambience. I’m trying to make videos that have the potential to appeal to a larger audience and gain subscribers at the moment. I’ll have a think about it 👍🏻

everyone always seems to forget the heat ray sound effect but still good.

I’d suggest you’d listen to IMMERSIVE DREAMSCAPES War of the Worlds horror ambience it’s pretty good and its longer but this video ain’t bad either
