You came up in my recommended, and after this video using practically no carbs, you've got a brand new sub! I'm 76 and try to cut out as many carbs as I can. I love a Philly Cheesecake sub, but oh, so many carbs! Thank you for this recipe! I was about 400 pounds, and have gotten down to 220 pounds so far. God willing, I'm heading towards 150! God Bless you!

@grammarosesopenpantry2729 you use about a teaspoon of baking soda per pound of meat after it has been thinly cut against the grain. Let soak for 20 minutes to an hour in a glass or plastic bowl/dish or zipper bag but not in a metal bowl. Rinse off and pat dry with paper towels. Quick fry or stir fry. It will be melt in your mouth tender. Excellent for cheaper less tender cuts of meat.

The baking soda works so great! I've done it with chicken and I also use it for my backstrap. I marinate my backstrap overnight and then rinse it, dry it well and then dredge it as one would for their favorite recipe. The chicken, about 30 minutes. If you've ever had Chinese takeout and got any protein that was super tender and enjoyed it, you’ll love that quick method of tendering.

Grammar Rose, wanted to share that I made your Philly Steak Casserole today with a few substitutions and it was so tasty. I substituted 1.5 packages of "Steakum" steak. I am dairy free as well as gluten free so I used dairy free cream cheese. For the heavy cream I substituted Coconut Cream. I also used vegan mozzarella cheese and vegan cheddar. Prepared the casserole per your instructions and it came out fantastic! Thank you. Love watching you and I love the interaction with your hubby too! God Bless you both.
