Bakugo is basically: "Im here to take names and kick ass. But I dont even bother with the names."
It actually means he likes them.
Seriously though lol
I swear he can't remember names so he go off features
And then give those names to other people who's asses I kick
kick name, take ass
Bakugo has seriously grown. Before he wouldn’t ever accept help from others even if his life depends on it but now he’s learned how teamwork works and that it’s a two way relationship. Give help and get help
Bakugo would except help from ppl but not deku

Ok but the fact that bakugou WILLINGLY wants his teammates to protect him as well says so much. Its not in a "protect me because Im the strongest and you need me to win" type of way. Not only is it him seeing his teammates as strong equals but it also means he's humbling himself enough to admit he has weaknesses too and that he trusts his friends enough to know that they'll help him through said weaknesses. Yea bakugou may be pretty bossy and rough around the edges but he really does have the attributes to become a strong HEALTHY leader, A leader that'll eventually see his weaknesses as his ultimate strength and can use them to guide others.
How does this not have more likes?!

never really pointed this out before but Sero's dub va fits him really well
and Bakugou's, Awase's, and Kamakiri's were pretty good too
you got a quirk good for def a quirk good for look out and one good for traps mixing explosion and tape
You can just say all of the voices fit it’s okay
Pretty good? Fuck uou they’re terrific.
Crazy that class b’s plan would have worked if bakugo had acted the way her did earlier in the series and ignored his team. If he had sped off and left them the others would’ve gotten caught in the glue and he would’ve been stuck in the weldcraft
Not entirely, remember seros plan was to lay back and study the opponents with Jiro's hearing so they would've heard heavy footsteps compared to Lizard tail splitter girls Quirk . Although I'm not a bakugo fan I like his aggressive decision To attack the enemy rather than hang back but I also feel like attacking the enemy with a Dominate Kid like bakugo on your team is also quite easy to read bc its bakugo in general despite what people say about development . If im on the opposing side it'll be obvious that theyll attack bc bakugo is on there side and no one would dare argue with him unless they had the backbone . Also if anything he would never take orders so why wouldn't he lead the team . If sero would've led it's possible they would've losses or won simply bc everyone would be suprised a boy with tape led the team rather than the expected explosion kid .
That would have work. They didn't expected Bakugo to change, mature, and learn causing their plan to be ruined.
“I’ve made a decision. No one will question our victory because our match is gonna be Flawless. 4-0 and no injuries. Understand?! That’s how somebody with ACTUAL strength competes”
Just...DAMN man! The delivery of this line by Bakugo’s Dub VA was just awesomely done!
i liek the other translation tbh "that's how someone who's really strong wins"
And then he made good on those words 😆
This part made me realize what a great leader he is too. Remember how Sato, Jiro and Sero's faces lit up when he said. Good leaders inspire their team to be better and succeed.
@@johnadamsiii9886 This isn't the first time he did that. In the Cavalry Battle in season 2 his teammates were fine with just advancing, but he motivated them to aim higher, and they were all for it.

Wonder how todoroki froze sero so much yet he didn't die.And same for midoriya.People with quirk factors are tough it seems. And he obviously doesn't go full powet on fragile enemies. He just used stun grenade on setsuna even though any other attacks would have been fine since she can regen.
Simple. It’s cartoon biology, physics etc lol . Not one bit is realistic if we breakdown anything they show
I always liked to think everyone with a quirk was born extra durable, as to not hurt themselves
alot of people forget in most anime the human race is not the same level as durrable or strong as real humans, in these universes humans are often more powerful, even in slice of life anime humans tend to be capable of so much more. naturally in a shonen like MHA the human race is a cut above the typical human of our world. It's likely that all humans of the MHA have evolved to become more powerful to adapt to the immense amount of powerful quirks.
Bakugo recognizes he's the carry for the team and instructs the team to support him while he carries them.
No pride involved; just facing facts and planning accordingly.
That's the best way to phrase it. Even in the professional hero world they do this. Only they're called Heroes and Sidekicks.
Honestly this is where Midoriya has always lacked in my opinion, he has the strength to be the dominating carry but because he's too nice he tries to cooperate rather than taking command, like during the final stage of the provisional license exam. If he hadn't been relegating himself to grunt work and had instead charged in to face Orca from the start things would've gone smoother.
@@benjaminkasson2587 so true 🤔 he is undeniably a uniter and he does take initiative but i think he lacks the demanding demeanor it takes to be a leader in the same way bkg is and its especially apparent when working in teams

@@benjaminkasson2587 If he started relying more on that fact and actually put himself out there as a leading force in a team he'd be untouchable with the level of support he has, but because he's either too focused on being support or solo he doesn't use his full potential. He's really good in the manga at the moment but he'd be much better if he actually used the growth in a team setting.

@@incrediblehotdog6638 this comment was literally posted a year ago and is in no way a spoiler. Relax.
wtf bro put a spoiler warning the guy above has a point
its annoying for others not everyone is gonna read the manga for every single anime theyve ever watched. thanks for spoiling it for me
@@ryanlee9150 omg you guys this comment was literally a year ago.
There’s much more worse spoilers put out by others! All I did was “quote” what Bakugo said during this scene and what happened to me during the latest chapter. Did I put what chapter it was or what else happened? No
If Bakugo calls someone by another name, it may seem disrespectful, but it really means he likes and values them.
"Whenever you guys are in danger, I'll protect you. And when I'm in danger, you guy will save me."
I don't know how much of that is nuance from the dub, but it really speaks to the question, "What does it mean to be a hero?"
Bakugo knows he's good. One of the best in the school. As a hero he's duty bound to protect people, including other heroes. He's going to give it 100%. To the point where, if he has to, he will be captured. His allies are heroes. They will not just protect him, they will save him.
But they didn't believe him. They have a picture in their head of Bakugo the Student, and never actually met Bakugo the Hero. They were all just doing their own thing. It wasn't until he went out of his way to save them that they realized he's serious.
"4-0 with no injuries."
His speech inspired them. They already saw him do what he said he was going to do. They knew they could trust his words and know that he will protect them and they will do whatever it takes to save him. There was no question in that moment, they will follow him. Not because he was appointed, not because his grades are high, not because he is very skilled, but because they believe him. If in this moment they go with him, they will come out safe.
But for Bakugo it wasn't about a grade, or being the best. What hero thinks of trading allies for victory? It may be something you have to do, but not something a hero should see as acceptable. In the previous exam he was willing to sacrifice himself so Deku could claim victory. Those were the rules: "If one of you escapes, you win." But this Bakugo was a captured hero and other heroes paid the price. He can't let that happen, even if it is a school exam. For Bakugo, any team that let an ally be captured failed. How can you celebrate a victory when your allies are in the hospital or captured or dead?
He proved to his peers, the teachers and the audience that he has what it takes to be a true hero. He was, in that moment, a symbol of hope for his teammates.

Bakugo: "I'm not taking your lunch order, you idiot! Besides, the gyro restaurant closed, remember?"
Technically, gyros are pronounced as “Euro” so… almost.
His one weakness was his inability to work with others, and he knew it. He's proud, but smart enough to know that to grow he HAD to change that, and he fkin did.
Watching bakugou finally working in a team was everything. It was his one strategic flaw and now it's gone.
After reading the manga i can only hope he will become one of the very best heroes out there. He really can inspire the class when he has too, his sheer determination and willpower pushes the others to be at their best. He settles for nothing but perfection in every aspect of his life and it rubs off on everyone else.
He might be a ball of rage and anger, but when directed in the right way he is a helluva motavator.
That's why I love his character so much.
It's not often people _that extreme_ are portrayed well. It's actually kind of damaging.
This made me actually respect and like Bakugo more than Midoriya because (and I can't believe gonna say this) at this point Bakugo is the better Hero because he's doing what Midoriya refuses to do. Accept help from your friends and trust in their abilities and skills. He has a complete Gun Ho attitude to everything he puts his mind to. And clearly it's rubbing off on others to act similar. "I've made a decision" what he said following that line shows me that Bakugo is gonna be the Number 1. Because he will always push himself (in a non destructive way unlike Midoriya) to complete whatever he sets his mind to. He could be less of a prick but at least he now cares and works with his friends and others. By the time Bakugo is #1 Deku will either be dead or crippled beyond belief since he fights with the mentality of the Black Knight from that old movie about the Holy Grail "Tis but a scratch, fight me!" (If u know, u know)
@@tylerkn9can't agree more...many are just scared to admit, just agreeing with the crowd without even putting themselves in the same situations and deriving conclusions.
Deku fights like he is suicidal...he really need to use all the support around him so he doesn't get pushed to his limits and end up in hospital every damn time.
He still need improvement in his character design to be considered a true hero.

Tbh every match should've been like this, class 1A got nerfed hard this arc
No, Class A didn't get weaker. Class B got stronger.
In the first round, the air compress guy was able to make an even stronger air shield than before. Back in the Sports Festival, Bakugo was able to break with enough force. He has since improved its durability to the point that Red Riot Unbreakable needs at least a few good hits to break it. And Tetsutetsu strengthened his steel by spending time in an oven, allowing him to charge right through Todoroki's fire.
What I'm saying is, Class A has gotten stronger, but so has Class B.
@@aashniw7125 but we never saw their growth so it seems like it came out of nowhere and looks like Class A got needed.

Nah they ain’t get nerfed Class 1-B has just been grinding like they have. They are heroes too who also got their provisional license. We don’t know their growth because they aren’t the focus. Like the only reason this was a wipe was because the plan relied on Bakugo being his old uncooperative self. He changed they didn’t know that and so they got caught off guard. They have gotten stronger, they aren’t slackers.
Team Bakugo Wins! Flawless Victory!
BRUTALITY!!!
1B: “Lmao, Bakugo’s just gonna rush we can kick his ass, the other 3 shouldn’t do much after him.”
Bakugo: “Kamehame-“
It can be hard to see the change in Bakugo, since he remains largely the same screaming angry cluster bomb of a human being he's always been, but he's never been as stupid as he looks. He may not have Midoriya's mind for clever strategy, but he can absolutely think on his feet. Plus, as they said in the entrance exams, he's got natural combat instinct you just can't deny. Not every problem can be solved with a hammer, but it's certainly good for more than one job. Pull out nails, weaken the supports, shield against debris, pull things closer, and, of course, hit things really hard.
I think even a new fan can see how Bakugo changes even as early as the start of season 3 and this is because his charachter has been handled right from the start. In order to make a charachter like this likeable we needed to see him taken down a peg and accept the conseqences of it, only he had such a antagonistic start he needed several. He still has aggression but that's fine he did'nt need to lose that to experience charachter development.
Despite that bakugo did carry them it was definitely a combined effort.
1:01 he meant a different word kids

the reason bakugou is such a good character is not only because of his major development and growth but because he’s still retained his personality. even while you can ultimately see how much of a better person he is now, and how much he’s started to care about the people around him, he’s still the same asshole in some ways 💀 still loud. still overly aggressive. still insults everyone. he’s grown as a person but hasn’t completely changed either
Yeah ikr? but people won't still accept that he changed because of that very reason. Can't people changed their perspectives and beliefs in life without altering their personalities? Smh 🙄
@@lurkerran That's what you get when you have jerks for people.
@@lurkerran A charachter like Bakugo is tricky to write for and it could've easily been handled the wrong way. But this is why it's important to be paitent and see where everything's going especially for a charachter like him. He was my least favorite character in season 1 as well, but I quickly noticed that Hirokoshi was being smart and showing him eating slices of humble pie especially as we rolled into season 2. His growth has been handled amazingly well and I'm so glad for it. Hirokoshi even had the understanding that for Bakugo's redempition to be completed he NEEDED to apologize to Izuku the guy told him to kill himself after all. I am very glad with how that went down, Bakugo did'nt get off easy and no one had to force him to do it he did it all on his own.
First impressions are powerful things. Bakugou's first introduction was the absolute worst of his character that we see, basically ever, in the series. That was on purpose. The audience drops him immediately into a certain category (especially as his opponent is the sympathetic protag). When you start out liking a character, you're more willing to forgive them the shit they do and make excuses for them, but when you start a character off in the negatives, like Horikoshi did with Bakugou, you have to get people to _change their feelings_ about someone they've decided to hate, and that's a huge thing to do.
