thats a heck of an anvil ! and moose ! i forgot the forging...just kidding. thats quite the spot you have there. loved that you left the handle thick. nicely done
This type of anvil is very common here in Latvia, great that it caught your attention! This type of moose and deer is also quite regular here =) fortunately =) Greetings from Sun Hills! Thank you for the positive vibes!
Great videos just a tip from what I’ve noticed of other blacksmith productions is expand you tags for the videos to read more searches. This video would do perfect in a asmr and relaxing sounds.
Thank you! I bought this anvil some 15 years ago, it was completely new, but it had stood untouched for around 50 years in the previous owner's barn. Must have been waiting for me all this time! =)
What is your fuel? That seems a lot of ash for coal so I’m guessing charcoal. If so, do you make it yourself? Just finished watching all your videos and am now a fan and subscriber. Looking forward to what you bring to us next.
I use stone coal, the only thing I can get in Latvia. Not huge choice here. Thank you for watching and commenting! It is really motivating! Hope to continue with making good content in future!
@@SunHillForge I just started using coal, pea sized little nuggets, and all the other smiths I watch use nugget coal. You’re the first I’ve seen such large chunks. Does it coke up easily? Do you have to break it up any before it does?

Thank you! Glad that you liked it! It is quite handy and no need to go anywhere far! =)

Simple, beautiful and historically accurate, nice! Good to see spring outside, nice anvil, how old is it?

This size of coal is only choice I have. I would prefer smaller. This coal leaves mainly ash after burning. I am used to it, so I manage somehow.
