How to Forge Twisted Door Pull REPLICA

- In this video, I forge a replica door pull based on a handle given to me by a friend. The material used is 1/2" square stock.
The music in this video was added mostly to reduce the ringing of the anvil. I need to remember to put the chain on the horn to stop that high-pitched ringing.

Casting is ugly. The slight imperfections of hand forging is what makes it so valuable and beautiful in my book. Great job.
Thank you! I agree. Casting has it's place, but shouldn't always re-place a good forging.
Nicely done sir
Thank you. Still one of my favorite handles that I learned to forge.
Opposite twists are nice when you have two doors side by side.
Absolutely, I totally agree!
Making one piece alike is easy. Making several pieces alike is considerably harder!
Agreed 👍
the singing of ur peddinghause anvil u can silence with a rubber mat under it or silicone
that aside gone try that handle tho ❤
Thanks, I went the silicone mat approach. It does help quite a bit.
Love the sign
Thanks!
Your first try turned out pretty darn close. Your videos are fun to watch and make me feel like I'm in your shop with you. Music was fun on this one too. I kept thinking Clint Eastwood would show up at any moment.
Bro ive been struggling making something similar. I cannot wait to give this ago tomorrow. Cheers!
How did it go? Apologies for the late reply, I was super busy preparing to leave for a year and didn't notice the last few comments until today.
I duplicated your design and installed them on a set of bard doors. Thank you for the inspiration.
Awesome! Glad it helped.
Nice and clean
Thanks!
Follow up.. i did it!!! Holy shit bro thanks for your vid. I nailed it first try following your steps here. Liked and subbed. :)
I'd be happy with both of them mate! Great job. You've got yourself another sub. Thanks for sharing
It seems like every video I watch now is a new favorite. Honestly, your pulls look nicer to me than the other one. Great work. The family and I think you are awesome.
Nice work. I learned a lot and will be applying that knowledge to tomorrow's work. Thanks. I look forward to seeing more of your videos
