Classic Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies Recipe!
Macros for each Cookie:
74 Cals, 6g Carbs, 2g Fat, 7g Protein
Ingredients (makes 13 Cookies)
60g Whey/Casein Blend Vanilla Protein Powder
40g PB Party Protein Cookie Butter Powder (www.proteincoo...)
30g All Purpose Flour
20g Almond Flour
10g Coconut Flour
4g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice
6g Baking Soda
100g Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt
60g Sugar Free Maple Syrup
2 Large Eggs
30g Mini Chocolate Chips
Directions:
1.) Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Add all of your dry ingredients (except for the mini chocolate chips) to a bowl and mix, then add your wet ingredients and mix some more. Add the batter to your freezer for 10 minutes to thicken up, then fold in your mini chocolate chips.
2.) Line an oven safe pan with parchment paper leaving enough room for 12 cookies. Take your cookie scooper and add 12 cookie dough balls to the pan, then add the pan to your oven for 6 minutes. This is extremely important because the cooking time is essential.
3.) Once they’re done, take your pan out of the oven and with a spatula, carefully transport your cookies to a cooling rack. Let them cool and firm up for 1-2 hours and enjoy!

Made these today. I didn't have a whey/casein protein blend, but I did have both whey and casein powders, so I made my own 50/50 blend. And I don't have any of the cookie butters, so I used PBFit instead. I didn't trust the look of the cookies after 6 minutes, so I ended up baking them for 7. The end result is the best chocolate chip cookie I've made so far with protein, so thank you for this recipe!
70 per cookie so I won't gain weight if I eat this .
Me : eats 10 (700 cals)
With 70g protein. Much better than 700 cals all carbs because of flour/sugar
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Innokentii Panov not really. You’re eating 10 cookies full of protein. You don’t need to eat more than a that because you get enough protein so you won’t overeat
@@xzygreen8938 ud make a more compelling argument if u said Protein takes longer to absorb than carbs...which in turn burns more calories just by digestion and keeps u feeling fuller for longer.
This is my first time running into this guy and I'm impressed. This looks very easy and extremely good. Now I have to binge his video!
Same...
Caught my eye...
This guy knows what’s up. He’s got great recipes and really tasty protein desserts. Really helps you stay with your goals. I recommend getting his cookbook if you can.
Yes this guy is good
Don't be. Every recipe calls for so much baking soda/powder that the sodium for the recipe is super high. Macro friendly but will kill you with high BP.
Was it sticky? Did You use the same powder as him?
I made mine and it was delicious NOT dry at all!! I did add just a tbsp extra of yogurt. So good. Thanks a bunch!
I just pulled out my wisdom teeth and haven’t eaten a real meal in 2 days. I’m literally drooling on myself. Making these this weekend. Thank you! Been dying to find a recipe like this. You’re the answer to my prayers. My fitness journey thanks you lol
Thanks for adding the ingredients list in the description as well.
I have such a sweet tooth and I'm always experimenting to make desserts with macros that fit more easily into my diet. Your book was an insta-buy for me. Looking forward to more quarantine baking starting on the 31st! You are truly doing God's work.
Holy moly, I just found you and now I'm addicted! I can't wait to try this recipe. Thanks for creating it and all the others that I haven't discovered yet.
Man this looks so good- sweets are my weakness and you're really helping a sister out with all these macro friendly dessert recipes!! my all time favorite cookie is a sweet and salty "kitchen sink" cookie with chunks of pretzel, chocolate and toffee... so good
Honestly your videos and recipes have really helped me with just ramping up my own creativity .

What I was expecting: Protein Cookies
What I got: weird ass oven pancakes
lol
Literally these recipes have not only changed my life but a lot of my friends as well.
Thank you so much!!
“These aren’t your average, dry, cakey protein cookies”
Hes right. I followed recipe exactly and it’s a dry, cakey, pancake.
I just made them and the batter was very gooey so I baked them anyway and they turned out almost like lady finger cookies. Is that how it went for you?
@@FillThegamer Sort of. Mine had a rubbery texture to them as well and were super flat.
I’m pretty sure he uses a different recipe for the video because mine turned out looking nothing like his and I did follow the recipe
@@pft1600 I was thinking that as I saw other comments mention it doesn't look like he added 4g of a 0cal sweetener. Could have possibly added sugar and used a different flower than labelled. I'm going to be trying this recipe out a few more times tinkering with the recipe to see if I can make them edible.
Just tried them again but I placed them on the pan golf ball shaped, used 30g instead of however much SF maple syrup he used, and 8g sweetener. Turned out really good, the outside has a bit of a cakey shell but the inside is medium-well cookie dough goodness. Adding less maple syrup and more sweetener thickened you my dough so I could roll it into a ball and bake it in a ball and made it cook well on the inside.
@@FillThegamer I will have to try that. 8g sweetener is probably closer to what he uses in the video. Definitely looks like more than the 4g he says it is.
OG Chocolate chip for life! Also Panera’s kitchen sink cookie is bombbbb! Can’t wait to try these
Favorite cookie of all time: homemade chocolate chip (fresh out of the oven). I can’t wait to try out this recipe, it looks delicious 😋
Was it good?
the protein powder ruins the cookie. just eat protein shake seperately and eat a cookie if your gonna eat it I don't see how this is any better.
@@rooks786 it tastes like nothing man
@@rexyoda3318 they're awful tbh, it doesn't even resembles a cookie
low key best youtube channel to showcase awesome recipes. will be trying this recipe soon. 🤤
My favorite cookie of all time (homemade): Is my “Kitchen sink” cookie it tastes better than Panera Bread, everyone loves them. My favorite store bought cookie: The blueberry pie oreo, and sadly it was special addition and hasn’t been made again in YEARS.
Why is it called kitchen sink
FloatingBlossom tastes so bad needs to get sunk in the drain of the kitchen sink? Sounds about right
I made them today. I don’t like maple syrup so I omitted that ingredient and they still turned out yummy! Thank you🍪🍪🍪🍪
I made these cookies TWICE without his cookie butter and they turned out the exact same! I used PE science whey casein powder in Cake Pop as the protein powder and for his cookie butter I did this:
10 Grams PB fit
30 Grams PE Science SELECT Vegan Protein in Vanilla Indulgence.
I love Zach and his cooking and would love to support him but those Cookie butters are out of this world expensive. They are made of pea protein as the bulk so a pea protein powder makes a great substitute!
Just made this recipe with a few changes:
-whole wheat flour instead of ap
- pb powder instead of cookie butter
- used a protein blend
- had no almond flour so I divided the grams of it equally into more coconut and whole wheat flour
Bakes for 5 min and a half exactly and came out very spongy. After 15 min or cooling down they sank. Overall taste and texture was fluffy but with an undercooked center which gave them a gooey vibe. Definitely will repeat :)
This is insane 😭 any protein cookie I’ve ever made has always been dry these look game changing. I can’t wait to make these with the snickerdoodle cookie recipe and cheesecake frosting 🤤
These are GAME CHANGING Dude!
Its dry, I just made them, I bake often so weighed out everything. Not a bad recipe but more of a cake than cookie
They came out GREAT for me. DO NOT OVERCOOK them! Thanks Zach
they're not gamechanging, they're also dry and don't even look/taste like cookies
I made these last night. I used PB3 instead of the other ingredient I don't have yet. Very good Flexible.
This a comment for my own self, I made these, they weren’t terrible, for sponges they were pretty tasty ngl for a sponge 9/10, for a cookie 2/10
same here, there's no way this recipe makes the cookie he shows at the end
Honestly the classic chocolate chip cookie is my favorite! Also, congratulations on the 100k man! Great value and content! Keep up the good work! You DESERVE more than 100k subs for these fire AF recipes!!!!
I made these and they just turned out as oven baked pancakes 😂
Sameee idk what I did wrong lol
Same thing happened to me lmfao 🤣
It’s a fake recipe, that’s why
I've given up on protein desert recipes man, they always turn out like this and taste like ass. I'm just gonna make regular cookies and portion control.
@@ducksoop.x I’m giving it one more shot 😂
This time with his actual pb party product
Any freshly baked cookie is my fave....especially peanut butter chocolate chip😜 congrats on 100k! Can NOT freaking wait for the new ebook!!
I love when I open up my UA-cam and food is the first thing I see! I was actually just telling my husband that I wanted the sweets cook book!

Can't wait for my cookie butter powder to come in!
already love the pizza book might have to get into this one too these look insane, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies for life
Dude you wont regret it ever!
best cookie recipe ever. ive been trying all kind. the full egg makes the diference by far. Thanks!
these are up my alley!
Just discovered your channel this week and have been watching your content NON STOP!! My favorite cookie is a chocolate chip/caramel/pecan cooke...SO GOOD!! Thanks for all these awesome recipe videos!
I made these last night and wanted to post my response since some of the comments say the recipe does not work. I followed the recipe as closely as possible, the only places I differed were with the flavor of cookie butter, as I used cookies and cream, and I did not use almond flour, I replaced it with extra coconut flour.
While I would consider these to be more like muffin cookies than cookies, as the texture leads me to say that, but that being said these "cookies" were delicious. I will be making again and using to supplement my breakfast with a little chocolate chip protein cookie/muffin. P.S. The recipe works fine.
where do you find cookie butter? what is that?
Congrats on 100k as well brother 👍🎂
My favourite cookie is definitely chocolate chunks, the chunks are just another level than the chocolate chips
CHUNKSSSSSSSSSS
absolutely speechless at how well these turned out, great job man! keep putting in that work!
Chocolate chips are gonna be one of the first ones I make with this book
I decided to buy readymade cookies as soon as i saw the amount of ingredients required and the price of it all.
...okay?
conjuiceeeee
So ur body and health is not worth the money? Considering the amounts used per batch it's not really expensive. If you have one a day is better thank a whole pack of the appalling dry stuff they sell at the supermarket
@@jinncass Not only that, but it's the initial investment that's expensive. These are, in all honesty, probably cheap to make. Even regular baking will seem expensive if you have literally 0 ingredients.
@Amrita Kaur then go for vegan alternatives made from lentils. They cost next to nothing. Come on ppl get resourceful if this doesn't fit ur budget there are other options. Brains can be used to do more than study.
Favorite cookie of all time for sure for sure is Chocolate Chip!
Can't wait to try these!
Why do these recipes not match up with ones in cook book and they never turn out the same
YESSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!! THANK YOU FOR FREE RECIPE! Im gonna make this nearly every day
Favorite cookie of all time: Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
During quarantine I was eating 12 nestle cookies that were 160 a piece per day. This will be so helpful!
I just made them! They taste amazing and I followed the recipe exactly but my batter was way more runny. This resulted in a flatter, less dense and chewy cookie :( If anyone has any tips on why, I would appreciate!! I put the batter in my fridge for 30 mins too!
Mine turned out runny too. Not sure why
same thing happened here it was more like a paste, very runny
@@youjianchen4533 try using more coconut flour
Are yall using the PB cookie butter powder the one he sells in the description?
Ervin Hernandez ya man. It’s good. Used it a lot, just wish there was more servings per container
Classic chocolate chip is the best!!! Cant wait to try this recipe!
Can't wait till the book comes out!!!!!
Definitely gonna have to go with Oatmeal Raisin cookies though. 🤤
Soon my friend!
My favorite cookie has to be hands down the milk bar cornflake chocolate chip marshmellow cookie!!
Congrats on 100K!
Girls scouts Samoa’s have control over me. Chocolate chip is honorable second always
OMG! I loooooove choc chip cookies and I am so happy you came up with a protein version. Can't wait to try it. Thank you.
hummm I'm actually curious to know how the taste would be, they sure look amazing! I'm used to using a lot of sugar in my cookies hahaha
Kitchen For Fools i feel the same. These healthy dessert recipes always look good on UA-cam, but rarely deliver on flavor
@@jomo8147 It's not even healthy man. It's the same shit as if you drank a protein shake and ate a cookie, which I would very much rather do than eat this crap.
Mine came out perfect and delicious
my go-to cookie is definitely a chocolate chip pecan cookie!! You cant beat an OG chocolate chip cookie with a little bit of crunch to it! I'm so grateful for you and your team and everything that yall do for us, so please keep up the amazing work and God bless you!!
My favorite kind of cookie is the one with fudge stripes on it! Also would you be able to air fry these instead of baking?
Didn’t even know you had Instagram been watching you for a while I just subscribed keep it up I literally get so pumped every time you post thank you got your service sir!
Favorite Cookie: Purple Bag cookies from Albertsons 🤤
Literally just stumbled upon this video now and this is the first and not the last video of you I will watch - subscribed :))))))
At the start of the video he’s explaining like he’s a mad scientist talking about a revolutionary device (kinda is) Love it 😂😂
The funfetti cookies look amazinggg
I've been experimenting with how to make protein cookies for the last month. They always turn into muffin tops no matter what I do! Can't wait to try this out lol
My favorite cookie is also a good ol' white chocolate chip, even though everyone berates me for it haha
Matcha chocolate chip cookies are my all time favs!!!

Oatmeal chocolate chip? 🤟🏽
@@stoner_vinny People who have no taste
Your chanell is so under-rated and I keep on waiting for it to blow up. It's gonna come for sure.
When half the people here don’t have PB cookie butter...
Cris Lopez use pb2 idk
Yeah, I used pb2 and my cookies came out like pancakes. Still good though
I used pb2. The peanut butter taste was overwhelming
Also he puts obviously much more then 30 grams,he have at least 10 grams of these chips per cookie at least
Subscribed! Recently started working out and completely changed the way I eat and this channel is awesome!!
As other people have mentioned, this recipe is so so fake. If you follow the recipe to the tee it yields an extremely runny dough that could never make cookies. Also, there's no way the amount of chocolate chips is the same in the video as it is in the recipe. You have WAY more in the video than you suggest. I'm guessing you added more stuff to make the cookie in the video turn out good then messed with the ratios in the recipe so the macros would be good.
Speak for yourself. I had ZERO issues with any of his cookie recipies. If you don't use the type of protein he uses it will not come out the same.
I just followed another UA-camrs cookie recipe, and it was absolutely awful.
My favourite cookie is chocolate chip bacon and I'm one week into my weight loss journey to losing 120lbs I love your content thanks for all the hard work.
It’s actually nuts how crazy u are in the kitchen 😧
Thank you 😊
Got those notifications on love all your recipes man. Keep it up!
These do not have enough flour. I honestly don't know how you got your texture from your ingredients because I did them exact and they are nowhere close.. ive been cooking and baking for 20 years lol
Exactly, mine was so liquidy. Idk how he got that texture
@KingSatan exactly, better of just buying soft baked chips ahoy and watching your portions on those than make this.
OMG!!! Just made these for the first time!! Heaven!!! 😍😋🤩❤️❤️❤️
The best cookie ever is “The Aubrie” from Fat and Weird Cookie!! It’s a DONUT COOKIE with a sugar cookie base stuffed with deliciousness🤤🤤🤤
Chocolate chip cookies are by far the best cookie. Nice recipe!
Does FDL reply to any of the consumer’s comments? Seems like a lot of complaints in the comment section claiming this recipe is fake. I actually don’t see a single comment validating the recipe. Very sketchy. Especially since he’s pushing his recipe book sales so hard on his IG. Would like to see positive reviews before making a purchase
I’ve made several of his healthy dessert recipes and they have not turned out well at all.... seems these recipes are just too good to be true unfortunately. You’ll have better luck just eating a normal cookie and calling it a cheat day lol
We all want to know, but we will never find out
Your recipes are insane!!!!!! Every time I watch a video, I immediately have to run out to the grocery store to get the ingredients!
WTF IS GOING ON i followed the recipe exactly and my cookie mix is much runnier than his. Did he give the wrong amounts?
Same thing happened to me! I’m confused.
@@mattt.edwards i think he messed up on the ingredients amount. Theres no way it can be that thick with that amount of liquid.
@@MP-im7un it’s the different protein he used
Mine was too runny as well. I used whey, he uses whey/casein blend. Might be the difference
! Awsome. I already did some of your recipes. Delicious. Good luck with your book, will be a must have for kitchen!
Starts at 1:45, stop rambling and get to the damn point!
Chocolate chip cookies are THE bomb diggity! My grandma always made pudding chocolate chip cookies and I've never met anyone who didn't absolutely love them. So so good🍪😄
basically... u can eat 3 and its like eating a protein bar
All time favorite cookie is the classic sugar cookie. But my favorite current go to cookie ate oatmeal cookies. No idea why but I just absolutely love oatmeal and in a cookie form just makes it 10X better! Congrats on the 100k sub mark. Been here for awhile now and plan on continuing to be here. 1mil soon to come!!
My dough comes out watery. Measurements provided are inaccurate
It might be how big your eggs are because his were pretty small and if it's to watery you can chill it for 10 to 30 minutes
My favorite cookie is white chocolate macadamia nut
Fav cookie: simple, original, but g.o.a.t.- chocolate chip.
Wow yes boy. They look amazing. My favorite cookie is peanut butter chocolate. Like a reeces! Them are the best.
those dry measurements im gonna say dont look right. the numbers are too small for what is shown on-screen. if you make this i suggest upping the all the dry ingredients
yep i followed the recipe and the cookie batter was pretty much the consistency of yoghurt his quantaties are all wrong in the recipe
A Guido no they were rubbish, very bad there’s a lot better recipes out there. I’ve tried a couple of this guys recipes now, none of them have been any good. Moving on.
I made them they still taste like cake they're not doughy or dense
@@williammclean6594 same here :( guess the the proportion was wrong
Love how good they look. Second attempt and my batter was still runny unfortunately. I had to add 1 tbsp of whey isolate, 2 tbsp all purpose flour, 1 ½ tbsp of almond flour and 1 tbsp of coconut flour. Still not the same batter consistency as the cookies in your video.
Baked for 6 minutes. Let it sit and my cookies are more like sponge cakes. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. If anyone was able to successfully replicate Zach's awesome cookies can you comment or even PM please. Would really love to make it the same way he does.
Fuck these cookies, try remington james new chocolate brownie cookie, and add chocolate chips to the recipe. Hands down the best protein cookie recipe out there its not dry like 99% of protein cookies but fudgey and gooey inside, and it tastes so much like chocolate that you almost dont taste that classic whey protein taste
This is how mine are. Feel like the recipe is fake.
After trying this recipe 3 times step by step, I can confidently say 6 mnts is not a long enough cooking time. Cookies just fall apart and turn into mush.
I did the recipe as well and it turned out exactly like this. Are you using whey protein? I think casein will work more effectively
@@dersjuanpablo7268 i used whey and it turn out like muffins
Did u use the cookie butter?
@@ervinhernandez6179 indeed
@@mitchell7196 the one he sells in the description?
I froze it before baking after reading the comments then left out to defrost for about 15 minutes. Didn’t fall apart, pretty good. 8/10.
There is clearly more chocolate chips in the end result than were put in initially, both inside, and prettily placed on the tops. That sort of thing makes me not trust the recipe...
Seems like the goal is insta pics and clickbait then... You should at least mention, "if you want to make them as pretty as mine, add more chips on top.." Full disclosure..
I'm a simple girl, my favorite cookies are chocolate chip! Been loving your videos lately, they help me get inspired especially during this crazy time!
Him- makes heathy cookies. Also him- stuffs them with every unhealthy thing imaginable
Imagine thinking a frosting that has almost 80% of its calories from protein is unhealthy lmao what a clown
Favorite cookie is the classic chocolate chip but with a twist. You add browned butter and espresso to give it some punch.
Well I've made this recipe twice now exactly like he did in the video and they came out wrong both times. More like muffin tops. First time I thought it was because I didnt use a whey casing blend. The second time I did and they still weren't even close to cookies. I dont think there is a recipe put there for good protien cookies.
I followed the recipe and used the Pumpkin Protein Powder - baked for exactly 6 minutes - I think my oven needs 7-8 minutes - lower half is cooked - top half a bit raw - I sprinkled a very light coarse sea salt on each prior to baking - the flavor is solid - the texture is just a hair off due to my oven being different - I think the recipe is a solid one and will keep in my inventory for weekly use and experimenting - AWESOME IDEA for this - I just tried it - Fat Free Whipped Topping - spray a dab on the cookie and BOOM - you have Pumpkin Pie in a cookie at 80 cals per cookie.
Gonna do ahead and say THIS is my favorite recipe of all time. I need that protein cheesecake frosting recipe! “Sexual” is the best way to describe this dessert 😂
Chocolate chip with walnuts and sea salt! Perfect combination of sweet & savory plus chewy & crunchy 🤤
That's a ridiculously small portion for 70 calories...
So gooey! I’m a sucker for the chocolate extreme cookies! Chocolate dough with chocolate chunks! 😍
"only" 70 kcal per cookie lol like if anyone is going to eat less than how many they make.
Fave cookie- oatmeal raisin or white chocolate macadamia! ❤️
