Just a heads up. If you update your video and remove the part about updating to the latest firmware in the mi app before continuing you will save people a ton of trouble with having to do a firmware roll back. Updating the cameras to the latest firmware now disables the hacks. And you need to roll back the firmware in order to get it working. But if you skip the firmware update it all goes smoothly.
ok I think i bricked my Cam by clicking Disable Cloud Aplication...... Is there a way to reset it or undo it ? Pls help

Very informative video, but I got a question. I bought mine second hand & I guess the former owner upgraded to latest FW which made the camera app setup only recognised if the location is China. Just had the small square for a day & many of the features appeared on other setup instruction videos did not exist on mine, no motion mode, select resolution options & smoke alarm wasn't listed. Can you please advise me on how to add more features, finally same question as another viewer, can it work on mobile data other than WiFi? thx.
Mihome can not be used. Do you have tinycam pro or other software? What kind of video playback?

What is "AP Mode" in the MiHome App settings and how does one download and view captured video on the SD card? When I placed the SD card in a reader and into my Windows PC and Mac there were no video files shown. I'd appreciate learning what AP Mode is and how I download the SD captured files to my computer. There is no menu option for saving SD continuous captured video just the option to view or to delete each file. Seems a bit silly.

HI. followed xiaofang setup (3.0.3.56 firm/ 4.0.11) but now just flashes blue. Even unplugged it overnight. Cannot connect to public wifi OUTSIDE of home (don't have 4g). Only if on wifi router at home is working. IS this being blocked by xiaomi?? HELP. (I'm in usa)

nov 2018 tried to update the firmware the camera made the Click click sound but i cant get on to the cgi-bin/status page. I then loaded to original, Thanks VuTN firmware as below then updated again as the video, same problem cant load the cgi-bin/status page? Any help welcome. The camera still work in the Mihome app without changing any setting in the App so i assume the firmware has not loaded current firmware listed in App
