"Unpacking" is a very cozy game where you unpack the main character's belongings through multiple life stages, childhood, college, first apartment, etc. The items include some nostalgic retro stuff
Yes! Unpacking is great. Whenever I physically move I always think about this game and how much I love putting things away and finding a home for them!
I dont think I've ever heard of Carto. I'm glad you guys have a game to enjoy together. My 4 year old always wants to play mario kart or mario games. lol. its a blast
To the moon! Completely has my heart and soul! I loved that game so much! I have to add it to so many of my lists! 🤭 it’s truly a gem! I’ll have to check out the other freebird games as well! Especially since you say they have great stories too!
I'm not sure if most would consider it "cozy", but I personally love Wytchwood as a laid back gaming experience. It's very contingent on discovering and crafting spells/magical items though, so I will caution that it can become very grindy. I still think the story and the art style absolutely make up for it.
I’ve heard of Wytchwood! But never played it myself. Some people do consider it a cozy game. It looks really cool, and o love the concept of that game! Thank you for sharing 💜
Many fantastic choices and just a fabulous video. ✨ Watching this has me even more hyped to play Eastward and Strange Horticulture before long. Cozy Grove, Mineko's Night Market, and really all of them look fabulous too.
sooo pretty unconventional, but one of my top cozy games is Jurassic World Evolution 2. it's pretty laid back, it's fun seeing and caring for my cute and colorful dinos, and the music is soooo relaxing, i actually listen to it when i'm having a lot of anxiety and it helps. definitely recommend. Ooblets and Coral Island are both definitely farming games, but definitely unique enough that it doesn't feel like Just Another Cozy Farming Game. Ooblets especially, gives Pokemon vibes.
Might give these a gander, when i ask for cozy games people always recommend a farmer style games and thats not what looking for. so far i came across lil gator game, little kitty big city, and alba wildlife adventures and i have itching to find more cozy games that dont revovle around farming. Please do more videos of cozy and relaxing games please! Might look that last one up for later
Probably not the most well known game but Sable is a very relaxed single-player game centering on the titular Sable's coming of age story on a desert planet. You do quests, ride around on your hoverbike, do some minimal parkour, and uncover the past of the civilizations on this planet. It's not labeled a cozy game but it for sure is one for me [most desert games are, whoops], and it's fun to waste some time in with all the secrets you can uncover and all the things you can collect. I will say it's fairly buggy though, and hasn't seen an update in a while. Most bugs can be remedied by checking file integrity or just restarting the game, though I know it can be a dealbreaker for some.
It’s so funny you mention this game cause it almost landed in this video!! 😂 I enjoyed playing Sable, the world was so unique and I loved trying to figure out all the quests. I still can’t figure out the fishing for the life of me though. But it was a great relaxing game and I definitely would say it’s a cozy game. 💜
I have some games you might like to check out! I love cozy games but never knew exactly what to call them! I learned a new genre to put all my chill games in! Broken Age Dropsy Eastshade (THIS IS GORGEOUS) Feel the Snow (has combat...CUTE combat) My Time at Portia/Sandrock (some combat) No Place Like Home (though it has farming vibes) The Tenants Unpacking Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles (this is possibly the cutest game you'll ever find🥲) Those are the ones I've played and enjoyed so far! Plus a plethora of simulator games. Those are wiiiiild! lol
💜💜 aww I’m glad you liked it, also I wasn’t too sure about potion craft cause I’ve never tried that one before! It looks fun. But based off the trailer pretty different.
@@LochVaness you should definitely give it a try. It's quite cozy and it doesn't have a storyline like strange horticulture. But it got a map and puzzles, bit easier I'd say
Nice presentation and the games do all look fun but there sure is a lot of farming in your Top 15 Non-Farming Cozy Games. This confuses me. What is your definition of farming?
There was barely any farming, if there was a little farming I did mention it. I think I more so like it when the farming is not its entire focus. Like it’s a small extra bonus and the whole games doesn’t revolve around needed to use the crops you farm. The games that did have a little farming were: Sugar Shack, Critter Cove, and sorta, not really Wildmender. I’m kinda confused on how you feel a lot of these have farming.
@@LochVaness I appreciate your explanation. I rewatched the video through the lens of your definition and I can see what you mean: farming isn't the core mechanic, especially in a traditional crops in grids sense. I was being broader and noting anything where planting and/or harvesting pretty much any plant is a mechanic which, for me, also brought in Potion Permit, Distant Bloom, Strange Horticulture, Wildmender, and Critter Cove. But I see what you were meaning now. Thanks!

Carto is a fun cozy game with a unique mechanic that my 3 year old and I have been enjoying playing together.
I dont think I've ever heard of Carto. I'm glad you guys have a game to enjoy together. My 4 year old always wants to play mario kart or mario games. lol. its a blast
Love that "To The Moon" was on this list!! I *highly* recommend all of the Free Bird games! Fantastic stories and unique puzzle concepts in them all

I have not played this, but it sounds like Rakuen, which I highly recommend!!! Story that makes you cry and puzzles.🥲
I would suggest making this video into UA-cam shorts- would probably drive a ton of traffic here. Splitting it up in a couple parts and linking here
😂 thank you.
Youve hit that itch ive been scratching for. I didnt realize i liked managament games until you said it.
Yes! Management and quest fetch games are my faves!

I love it so much
I love this one and thought it was cozy and not grindy, probably because I can't help picking up everything as I walk to places😅
Many fantastic choices and just a fabulous video. ✨ Watching this has me even more hyped to play Eastward and Strange Horticulture before long. Cozy Grove, Mineko's Night Market, and really all of them look fabulous too.
Thank you!! I’m glad you enjoyed it! They are some of the ones I can easily go back to!

bear and breakfast is so cozy. i love to play it during the fall!
Ahh that’s so perfect, I adore that game and always add it to my lists. 🤭💜
I'm happy she mentioned it! Definitely one of my top fav games. I love playing it in fall and winter too. ❤

I’ll definitely have to make another video for more recent games too. I’m so picky, it takes a lot for me to like a farming game.
@@LochVaness i tried them and wasnt really to keen on them. I can be very picky about games that i can find to keep me relaxed.
Go play the unexpectedly cozy Abiotic Factor. It can be a little scary, but with the right base it can be incredibly fun ❤
I’ve never heard of that game before! I’ll have to check it out.
Needed this! Farming sims are starting to get bland
1:29 Hank wears his balls on his chest, you can't unsee it! You're welcome lol.
You should definitely check out Trade Tales! It's the most complete life sim ever created, with so much to do and explore.
I’m intrigued!! Definitely looking into that game. What’s your favorite thing about it?

I got stuck in this game. I rage quit 😆 my game saved when I got stuck and I can not figure out how to get out the wall. 😂
Townseek!!!! I’m dying to get that one!!!!
Ahh that’s a good one, I need to add to my wishlist too! 🤭

Hi ! What is the name of game 5 please ? I can't really understand... thanks xx
It’s called Eastward! 🥰
What is game 11? I can’t make out what you’re saying the name of it is
Wildmender
You really gotta figure out a few other things to say than "now moving on" for every single one.
now moving on......
Terrible impression from the video. No written names of the games on the screen! No mentioning of games names in the time codes!
Aw, sorry to disappoint! 😊 Can’t please everyone, but I’ll keep the mystery alive for those who enjoy a little surprise.
