Oh boy. As a Jets fan, I'm extremely nervous to face MacKinnon in the first round. Should be a great series.
I agree but if we can shut down him like we shut down mcdavid when we swept them, then I think we can win with our depth
must watch tv
You'll be swept
As a Colorado Avs fan, I am nervous about the series as well.
I wouldn’t be so sure. This year’s Jets are way better than last year’s Kraken.
What a pass by Drouin ! Wow! I'm happy for him 0:48
In 2022 Colorado won at every level nationally in hockey.
Avs won the Stanley cup. Denver University Pioneers won in the NCAA. Denver East were the national high school champions. And a Colorado team also won in little league as well.
Additionally, the Colorado Mammoth(who share Ball Arena with the Avalanche) won the National Lacrosse League championship. Nuggets were the only Ball arena team who weren't champions that year, but won it next year in 2023.
Thank God because it's been so rough with the Broncos and Rockies lmao
Love the Mammoth shoutout! Denver isn't just a hockey town, its a sports town.
And with the TV blackouts not a single Coloradan could watch😡
@@russellm785 You need to sail the high seas matey
Littleton Hawks is the team you're thinking of.
MVP! MVP! MVP!
The thing is Kucherov has been involved in more than half of Tampa's combined goals and he has more than 50 points more than the second highest scoring player on his team. Only two players in history has finished a season being involved in more than half his teams goals (Gretzky, of course, and another one I can't remember right now but probably Lemieux).
@@mkrekuWell, he is russian ☮️
@@mkreku The points spread thing will be a factor but for what we've seen in terms of one player dominating, McDavid and MacKinnon do it better than Kuch. Look at how both of them elevate the players around them. Hyman has no business scoring 50+ and Rantanen is the beneficiary of MacKinnon greatness.
MacKinnon's record point streaks should be noted also.
@@mkreku He certainly has a very strong case. The way these two have stayed ahead of McDavid is mind-blowing, either deserves it. Kucherov's point gap with Point is huge, Tampa would be nowhere without him.
@@fluntimesIf that was the case their offense generated would be more. And it's not. Kuch is the best playmaker in the NHL along side Crosby and McDavid.
Mac isn't close. Kuch is known for making plays out of thin air with his passing.
You have it backwards.
You do a great job at pacing videos. Short, sweet, and to the point
Chris Drury was better than him
As an Oilers fan, its so obvious that Nate is the MVP this year.
As a human it’s so obvious that Kuch is the mvp this year. He scored 55% of the points in tbl and have 50 point difference between first and a second place in the team
It's kuch
Nate shouldn't even be ahead of Panarin or Crosby in the Hart trophy.. The avs are a well-oiled machine with depthscoring. something the penguins and rangers definately don't have. If not for the Panarin/Trocheck/Lafreniere line rangers would be in big trouble especially since the goaltending except Jonathan Quick's first 15 games has been atrocious this year. And Crosby is literally dragging penguins to the playoffs even with their powerplay being down right HORRENDOUS. Kuch is the CLEAR winner this year because he is having one of the most godlike seasons ever. If not for Kuch having this year, the HART should go Panarin/Crosby. Not Mcdavid, Matthews or MacKinnon. it's not the Art Ross trophy.
yep definitely mackinnon
Give me a break. Of course Kuch is fantastic. Both deserve the award but can’t be given to both. Nate isn’t just on a great team… HE IS THE GREAT TEAM. This year he has been the god damn engine and that somehow is a detriment to his MVP argument? The fact that he is the best player elevating a good team even greater? I don’t understand that logic. It’s out of their control who these players are playing with so why can’t he win because C-Mac and Sakic built a contender?
I work at Ball arena,& it's unbelievable to be able to watch the Avs,& Nuggets on a nightly basis. Not just each win a title-last 2yrs...but both could do it again this year. And we SHOULD have the MVP in both sports.Jokic is basically a lock to win his 3rd in 4yrs,& while I dont think McKinnon is any kind of lock-hes got a good chance after finishing 2nd twice,(once I had no issue with when Draisitile beat him out-but he got hosed when Taylor Hall edged him by 1 vote.)-& 3rd at least once.
I tell fans,& coworkers not to take this for granted though-to have both these teams at the same time...maybe both MVPs,& world class players like Makar,Rantanen,& J Murray, etc. Avs have the best home record in the NHL,& I believe the Nuggets still the best in the west-or close to it. And both teams have ALREADY won a title. We might never see this again in ANY CITY...let alone Denver. But as penance for how lucky we are-I figure we gotta stomach the Rockies,& Broncos. But just as fans-I don't work for those teams-lol. But time to go back to work-Nuggets vs TWolves tonight might decide the West #1 seed.
Get the job you like and you will never work again
Russ is out here catching strays lol
You're awesome for making these videos! The offense is crazy, the ammount of points and over 65 goals is insane!
I went to this game last night and omg lemme tell you it was electrical let’s go Nate dog 🐶!!
Nate has soaked up Sid's knowledge. With crazy speed.
No chance you are old enough to remember the Quebec team. And Colorado has had multiple VERY successful teams. Lets not also forget that the Avs held the longest home sellout streak in the league for a long time. Denver has been a fantastic hockey town since day 1
What a race!
Nathan is amazing in that he does have that extra gear at times. And people will say he is peaking at just the right time, but playoff Mack is a different animal completely. It will fun. And we love our hockey here in Denver. I have been watching ever since the Rockies wore skates, and it has been a privilege to watch Sakic, Foresberg, now Nate, Cale Mikko etc. And I didn't even talk about the Nuggs! Good video
As he goes around the Defenders for the third time, I expect the Goalie thought bubble is ...........Seriously! Lol
Screw the Broncos. When i moved here 11 years ago, it drove me nuts how all the sports talk radio would cover was the guys in the ugly orange 85% of the time. I'm thoroughly enjoying the Broncos suffering while the Avs and Nuggets thrive.
Why you so triggered over the broncos
@@coreywold669 It's a common thing here. You either love the Broncos, or love to watch them suffer.
@@cytyzent weird to get some kinda high from watching people suffer that tells me you a bum narcissist
@@coreywold669 As someone who doesn't care much for the NFL it's exhausting listening to radio shows talk about the Broncos, draft/free agency/schedule when a) They suck b) Are 4 months away from the season c) The Avs and Nuggets are contenders and champs with HOF players currently playing on the day of the broadcast.
It's ridiculous.
@@Jonathan-xt6jw football is more popular?
It is nice to see a smile from a usually very intense person
I absolutely love the Aves, and love videos on them. Mackinnon's the dawg
As an Oilers fan, Nate Dogg is the best player hands down.
This year only overall mcjesus is better
@@munrajdhaliwal700 We are living in the present. And that's exactly what I'm talking about. Nate has something to prove this year and you can see it in his eyes every single game. Mcdavid is hooking up everyone around him. McKinnon is hooking up himself.
Denver’s been a hockey town for longer than people think; the University of Denver Pioneers are headed to play for natty #10 (which would break their current tie with Michigan atop the all-NCAA hockey dogpile) after dispatching Boston U in Game 1 of the Frozen Four today. Some of the best hockey I ever watched was back in the old WCHA days, with DU playing Colorado College in the ancient DU Arena.
Broncos are in the tank. As a local I'll tell ya I'm all in on the avs and nugs. 2 very good, well run teams with legends all over the place. Took 21 years for the avs to get another cup, took the nugs 47 to get the first championship. So if you're old enough, and I think I am, you truly understand how special this is. When I'm old I'll be talking about MacKinnon, rantanen, makar, landeskog the same way I talk about Sakic and forsberg and Roy.
Such a great game, that arena was thumping all night!
It was on ESPN in Denver, I live in Colorado.
Nate Dogg is a beast. Love watching him play and with Drouin this year it has been even more fun.
They've also got Denver University tied for the most all time NCAA hockey championships.
The third goal for me was amazing. He picks up the puck at his own blue line, and there's a guy back. But he blows by him almost immediately. Haven't watch many Avs games this year, but glad I saw this one.
Denver also has DU hockey, excellent club teams, and pretty darn good high school hockey. It’s a pretty great state for hockey. Frozen pond games at evergreen lake.
There was a news story just posted. About how, for the first time ever, The Broncos are not Denver’s favorite team. The Avalanche have stolen that spot for the first time by 1%!!!
MACK ATTACK IS BACK JACK!
Guts, Guts all over the place
I was at that game and o boy was it amazing
The Nathan MacKinnon Hat Trick was the nicest I’ve seen - every goal he was a beast!
I’m a fan of McDavid, but really, he’s a distant third (maybe even 4th) in Hart trophy rankings. There’s something “off” with his play this year. It’ll come down to Kuch and Nate, and I really don’t know who is more deserving.
Should be Kuch>Panarin>Nate>Crosby if we are actually going by the criteria of which the award got created for. ACTUAL MOST VALUABLE to their team. And i'm a firm believer that if not for Kuch completely dragging Tampa over the line to playoffs with almost no help, it should go to Panarin because without him the rangers are nothing thsi season with subpar goaltending, Mika and Kreider ghosting on 5v5 and Panarin playing on a line with the so called "bust" Lafreniere and still putting up a career high. People argue he benefits alot from playing with Fox but when Fox was out for 10 games our PP didn't slow down ONE bit with Gustafsson taking Fox's QB spot. Panarin = NYR
Something off with McDavid's - seriously the dude has 130 pts - get real
Nate dog always lights up the Wild
You gotta shout out college hockey and the Pios when talking about Denver. Theyre a huge reason why its a great hockeytown imo
Great time to be a hockey fan!
broncos fan here, you're right
also I love the Stars, hate the Avs lol!
Works so hard, so happy 4 him
So there was a survey done in Denver done recently, the number one team in the city now is the Avs in terms of popularity. It's a great hockey state with competitive success at all levels.
What about #33, Patrick Roy?
Every goal that game made me think what a freak then I think it was on goal 3 the espn announcer said the same thing 🤣
I think the broncos might be behind the Avs and the nuggets these days.
I live in Colorado Springs just south of denver. It may be me in my own world but i see more hockey stuff than nfl stuff. The behavior of both Franchise the kast ten years has a huge amount to do witu that
You’re forgetting about our Nuggets! Very similar teams here. Jokic & Mac about to take the MVP in the same season
Jamie Benn as an art Ross winner with 87 points is just nuts to look back on
The colorado alternate jerseys go crazy
As someone from Colorado i see more Avs jersey, hats, signs etc. now than pre-22 cup. Same with nuggets stuff after they won in 23. But i think i see more avs merch then nuggets still.
But dont get me wrong the broncos are still popular. But they suck right now and made terrible decisions with Russell wilson. And then there's the rockies who arent that great either. And almost no one seems to know (and if they do) don't care that we have a soccer team. Take that as you will.
Saying the Rockies “aren’t great” is maybe the biggest understatement I’ve ever read. That’s like saying Nathan Mackinnon is a decent hockey player
TB is still down two games though on the Avs. I looked at the schedule and TB plays two more games than the Avs do through April 18th. I guess we just need TB to have a couple bad games.
Kuch is taking home Art Ross, Nate the Hart
This would be my bet also
Omg I am so glad let’s ride man left
w youtuber
cheers thank you so much!
I gotta say Denver loves the shit out of their sports teams. Yeah NFL is always big but man they love the Nuggets, they've always shown out big for them and holy crap they showed out for them after they won last year. Really I'm always happy to see towns like Milwaukee, Denver and other smaller market/closer fanbases get chances to celebrate good stuff. I'm really happy for em
As some people said, i'm very happy for drouin!
Ty one of the few games we get to see in Denver, due to ridiculous Comcast stance with Altitude.
I didn’t watch the game but after the 2 goals by Nate I knew he scored a hat trick after you showed the goals it shows 51 0:58
Finally a game that isn’t blacked out! 🙄
Talk about games being BLACKED OUT.... How is this even legal. They advertise the game all week, then black it out.... WTF....
MVP performance
Pretty safe to say the Avs aren´t bowing out in the first round this year...
Well let's hope the defense and goaltending improve drastically cause right now that's a huge problem for playoff hockey.
Nathaaaaan MaaaaaacKinnon!!!
2nd place is 133 points.
Meanwhile 3rd is 130
And 4th is 115
Hes too good better then Mcdavid
What do you mean Denver has BECOME a great hockey town? Like in recently? Denver has ALWAYS been a sports town. Just look at the Rockies...they suck something awful and still pull in 30K per game. We Denver-ites love all of our teams. Always have, always will.
No, he’s right in saying denver has become a HOCKEY town. Yea, we’re passionate about our sports but nobody gave a rats ass about the Avs when they were the worst team in the nhl. Everybody hopped on the hockey band wagon in recent years when the Avs started making the playoffs, and especially after they won the cup. Kinda the same thing with the nuggets. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that, just saying that we were always considered more of a football and baseball town, even though the Rockies have consistently sucked for 30 years. I mean there were a few years when the Avs first got here during the sakic and forsberg days, but hockey still took a backseat to broncos and Rockies back in those days. We’ve kinda switched over to a hockey and basketball city now that the Avs and nuggets both won the title and the broncos have been crap since manning and the Rockies are still the same old monfort rockies.
The way players score now there is no doubt in my mind that there will be a player that gets more points than Gretzky
I stopped checking if the games are blacked out, I'm tired of the heartbreak. I think the avs have just become a luxury unfortunately.
1 word ~ Kadri
After this latest Broncos debacle, the avalanche and nuggets are really giving them a run for their money. It may not be Broncos town for much longer if they are this terrible.
MacKinnon like like the zombie from ilegend
Any one else despise Nathan as an Oilers Fan after they beat us in the playoffs 4-0 he said they should of won earlier and he overall just has a bad attitude.
Mcsweeped 😂
You win in Denver you will be supported....
if you havent seen him play live, do yourself a favor and make it happen. hes the best skater in the league. his speed is super human in person.
Lol don’t watch much hockey
He owns us but damn is he fun to watch
MVP
The game was not blacked out because it was broadcast by ESPN. Horrible camerawork.
Maybe the only player at the moment who can lift the fans out of their seats as much as McDavid, both such speed demons and great leaders as well. Kind of a shame they both can’t win. I’m kinda pulling for Connor this year, if only because Nate has already lifted the Cup. So much parody in the NHL now too !…
Fully expect him to win the Hart even though he may finish just behind Kucherov in points. Great argument to be had for both guys but all one needs to do is look at the gambling odds to understand who’s taking that one home. Honestly, Mack, Kuch and McDaddy are all deserving. Close race goes to the guy who’s never won and I also think Kuch screwed his chances by mocking the all-star game which was hilarious and I don’t think that guy gives AF whether he wins the Hart or not.
MacK winning the Hart simply because “he’s never won one and he’s due” is single-handedly going to ruin the Hart voting 🤷♂️
@alexburch3421 Exactly. It's MVP this season, not the Nathan MacKinnon Lifetime Achievement Award.
HES GOT THAT DOGG IN HIM what do you expect?
mvp mvp mvp
Kuch and empty nets, name a better duo
Long time local, we don't consider the broncos "king", we laugh at them like any awful team, reminisent of the browns
Buy Mack fan but he sure did knot show up against the Jets a few daze latter
GoAvsGo
Mackinnon MVP MVP MVP
If DU wins the natty it'll be the most of all time btw
When the Av's moved to Colorado it was HORIBLE to go to games as a long time hockey fan. Sitting in $100+ seats (in the 90's) next to people that didn't know what offsides was. I went to a game vs. the Red Wings (with a Wings hat on) and some jackass tells me the Red Wings suck right after they beat the Av's 7-1. 180 degrees different now. Great, knowledgeable fans. And more respectful as well. Happy they have actually "earned" a Cup as fans after having to suffer through some thin years. And MacKinnon is such a joy to watch.
That’s just the wild defense for you
Poor goalies!
Burst of speed indeed .... 🥅
Always blacked out due to trash altitude sports
if matthews it 70 can he pull it off ?
Kucherov could never explode w the puck like this. Nate is MVP because he does everything Kucherov can do (and better) but can’t be said the other way around.

Benn the bum....Cap'n Blackbeard Benn.. Captain cheap shot. Jamie big butt
Funny you didn't mention Connor McDavid who has 130 points.
😂.............................................................................
Do you breathe thru your ears? How the hell do you talk that fast, and keep talking?
Might be time to try decaf?
I’m a simple man. I see Nate in a thumbnail and I downvote.
Even as an Avs fan (i hate the broncos), I'll admit Kucherov is a bigger offensive threat. The question is whether or not he's a better overall player?
Lol Denver is not a hockey town. This is coming from an avs fan where on games vs the rangers or hawks there's almost more away fans then home fans
You do realize there are a lot of transplants living here, right? You might as well toss your merch into a fire with that kind of negativity, kiddo.
And how many times does NY come to town? Once a season? The Pepsi Center sold out 17,000 seats for at least the first 6-7 seasons, if that is not a hockey town I don't know what is.
Colorado, and Denver specifically, have horrible fans. I grew up there, and love my avalanche. I can tell you that it seemed like everybody was on board with Hockey in the big picture, all during those early glory years. But then, once the Avs became cellar dwellers in the 2010 era, Colorado fans showed their true colors. The same thing happens with the Rockies and Broncos each time…Colorado has the most fair weather fans in sports.
@@flounder lmao. NO ONE cared about the Nuggets until last season. NO ONE cared about the Avs during the post Sakic-Roy-Forsberg era. Other than the World Series year, NO ONE cares about the Rockies and they never have. Enjoy your tantrum though!
@@christmastreefire709 Calm down he is completely right. Denver spots team have received very good support, OBVIOUSLY more when they are good (Like every other sports team to ever exist), and slightly less when they are sucking it up. Nobody wants to see their teams be garbage anywhere on planet earth, that's an irrefutable fact and just basic common sense.
Having said that, even when things are going bad support still stays pretty consistent. Just less talked about outside of the games. I could back this up with easily available data, but would be a complete waste of time considering the response you just gave him.
@@loudnoises5372 You can look at just about any sports city in a rebuild and see what the attendance is like.
Denver sports fans are some of the whiniest babies I've ever encountered. It's a shame this team is wasted on that hellscape of a city.
Show me where on the doll where the metropolis touched you.
It’s so easy to see Connor is the best on the planet and should win the hart, the Ted Lindsay and the art Ross. People will cry because they think others are better and I laugh at those
