I used to fly ultralights and one time while talking to a retired Canadian military pilot I asked him what his favourite flying was. His answer "you're doing it, low and slow". I have to admit it was a blast.
@beertrain. Yep, I picked up a Husky last January. Love flying low and slow and landing almost anywhere. But, then it’s fun to jump back in my Rocket. I love going back and forth between them! I sure enjoyed watching the ultralights the year before last at Oshkosh.
@Studio RV8. Hi. Thanks. I just stuck a suction cup mount under my glare shield. Then mounted the Insta 360 in the upright position. I may make an adapter so I can move the camera up about 2”. It was a fun place to mount.
@Dwain Harris. Hey Dwain. Yeah, I think at Morgan County airport we know most everyone and they know what we’re in. Our rational is that at other airports, announcing that we’re flying Rockets may come across a bit conceded. We don’t want that. Also, we’re often flying in a mixed group of Rockets and RV’s, they’re all great planes and everyone knows what an RV is, so we’ve kinda gotten in the habit of just saying we’re a flight of RV’s

RV4aviator. Yeah, it sure has been a fun plane for me. Although, that RV4 probably performs real nice. My buddy has a 4 with 180hp, goes just like a Rocket. Good to hear from you!
@Alex 005. Hi Alex, I can’t wait to go back there next fall. Me and a few friends are planning to take some 4 wheelers up there . I just hope we can find access to the area. So much land is private with fences and locked gates.
Spectacular! So many beautiful aspects of scenery to enjoy. Not many people have the privilege of being able to fly over the ground and look down, so worth it. I also use my RV4 as a recce platform to walks around Exmoor and the coasts of the southwest UK, an invaluable tool and tons of fun.

I'm blessed to be able to fly my father's Husky here out of Kanab along with my Waco. We had an older Husky in Northeast Nevada as well, on the ranch. Used it to look for cattle out on our BLM and Forest allotments. Also dropped salt blocks out of it up on the mountain. Do you still have the 180?

@Drummond Grimaldi. Hi Drum. Thank you. I met up with Bob and flew some formation with his Risen 915. Always fun flying next to a different plane. I’ll get the video posted in a couple days.
@Justin Mills. Hi Justin. You’re right , there is an element of risk flying low. Even though I constantly evaluate the risks, that doesn’t make it go away. I wouldn’t agree with reckless or dangerous. But I won’t fault you for feeling that way.
