I bought a 2008 Hyundai I30 SX 1.6L Diesel manual with 140,000 kms. I own a Tiguan and previously a 2015 Golf TDI. The Hyundai has totally surprised me and if the 2008 is this much fun, I can only imagine what the N models are like now. Great cars.
I took an i20N out last week for a test drive. Hell of a lot of car for a really good price. I have owned a lot of hot hatches and I’m seriously thinking of moving away from the German brand as it’s overpriced and becoming very clinical. The N brand Hyundai is putting the fun back into cars.
I totally agree the Hyundai N range is superb great value for money the Golfs interior is not my cup of tea and those alloys on the Golf are ridiculously ugly making u spend more money on an upgrade, Hyundai N awesome job probably my next car just can’t let go of my series 2 redline V8 😊🇦🇺
Cant beat value for money of the last of the vf’s…… Looked at some euros Nearly double the price what we paid our 16’ ssv not even some simple features Standard . All options…. Now with 50,000km on it it’s worth 10k more than We paid new . Only when it’s gone do people realise what we once had…..
Nice review! Albeit you have to press the NGS button next to steering assist just above the checkered flag for the "N Grin shift" not the checkered flag itself! :) Keep it up
So nice vid but he was totally incorrect on the steering wheel buttons. The checkered flag button actually puts the car in Sport + mode. And the red button does not select Rev matching, it actually is the NGS button which gives an overbooked of HP for 20 seconds.
Automatic and priced at near 60k are no longer in the hot hatch category. The I20N should have been the winner on price, manual gearbox and agility. Needed the Focus ST in here as well
No, it's a warm hatch. It is massively outclassed in the hot hatch ranks as far as performance goes and really isn't a track capable car off the showroom floor.
Where was the Fiesta ST and Focus ST? CHANNEL 09 BIAS AGAIN IN THESE SHODDY AND DODGY AWARDS. How about Nine actually show us who advertises with this brand?
@@albertt7784 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Getting tired of hearing this all the time. And also tired of hearing from reviewers. Yes any car comparison video now has to be only viewed, at most, in a 6 month window. Of available brand new cars from the cars released by manufacturers for Australia. Which is NOT the way most car enthusiasts view any of their car purchases.
Even the GTI CS is 10k more than the i30N, the Golf R will be easily 20k more, even more expensive than a freaking Ford Mustang GT. And the Yaris GR isnt really a hot hatch, its a rally homologation car, like the Evos or STIs.
Hyundai has come a long way . Their N performance brand is doing an awesome job.

Lucky bastard. Should have mine by November.
@@jimmyb4982 I had lots of problem with gearbox leaks 💀💀💀💀. but regardless it has been such a fun car to drive
This is just a sales pitch cause they ain’t selling enough i30n fake review didn’t even show judges.
I think people prefer the i20n over the thirsty i30n
I20N for me
That VW sounds like a Kombi van at 3:11 😂
Love my N!
Could you please make a video from car selling markets specially cars prices thank you.
Great video thanks a lot 👍🇦🇫🇦🇫🇦🇫

Please do a Fiesta ST vs i20N.
Would love to see the winner put up against the BRZ/ GR86!
We Lready know the winner it's i20n
Many UA-camrs have compared the two. Most give their vote to the i20N.

I am hoping the answer is the ORA Cat EV
Hyundai...great job . Way better than any Toyota
No cerato gt? It's not a hot hatch?
No, it's a warm hatch. It is massively outclassed in the hot hatch ranks as far as performance goes and really isn't a track capable car off the showroom floor.
@@garthbosworth8090 oh gotcha! I thought it has the same engine and power as the i30n..
So where is the Toyota GR Yaris???
It’s got no boot and no one fits in the back seats.
@@steveo8533 so what? It does have a boot
where's those people who always ask if Ford paid for the review????
Your reviews will continue to be inadequate whilst you refuse to tell us the prices.
And the winner is..
The Sukuki Swift Sport.
Prueba el I 20 N y luego el Swift! No hay color!
Hyundai N is the best cheapest car on market
Yes. All good and well. But you forgot the King of Hot Hatches.... The Golf R!
censorship on this channel - don't touch it

I don't know how you can call a car with an auto gearbox a hot hatch.
Dual clutch
If it has the best DCT in its class, sure you can.
You can still go for the manual though.
1. Is it a hatch?
2. Is it quick?
If yes to both, it's a hot hatch.
You left The Golf R out !....
Golf r awd in different league
I30n all the way for me.The golf is so boring andong in the tooth and the people that buy them are just boring as hell.
turn rev matching off
No car has ever needed an automatic transmission. Awful things, for geriatrics and Americans.
Best FWD Hot Hatch - Honda Civic Type R
Best out of this bunch - Refinement wise the Golf GTI by a mile.
The Civic Type R's haven't been available to be purchased new for quite some time. Hopefully the new Type R will raise the bar even higher.

i20N isn't even I'm the same category, might as well have used a Hilux
I20n is a beast shhhhhh!
Best hot hatch and no GR Yaris or Golf R? lol FAIL
Ummm they don’t sell the GR anymore and the Golf R isn’t out yet.
Both AWD. Both more expensive.
They closer to the a35 area.

Audi RS3? AMG A45? These are soft hot hatches not hard core hot hatches
Those are Hyper hatches. These are hot hatches.
