Hi Jeroen, massive thanks for your amazing support and encouragement 🙏 . I was about 44 when I started too - and have been struck by just how rewarding cycling indoors and out can be, plus just how incredible the cycling community is. Hope you get time for some consistent training over the winter, and no doubt you’ll keep growing your FTP (mine goes up and down depending on what I’m doing ). Plenty more to come 💯👍
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy Then you have managed to build a proper ftp in a relatively short time. Kudos. Mostly indoor training at the moment due to rain and being home from work after sunset. I wish you the same!
This is such a lovely uplifting video. Thanks for the positive vibes and respect towards the volunteers who organise these events, but mostly for conveying hoe brilliant cycling is. Muchas gracias! Da'iawn diolch

I’ve loved being a small part of the cycling community, and have been struck by how much people do out of their way to help others and give up time to marshal events and races. Its a privilege to be able to showcase so much of what cycling has to offer! I’m very well thanks!😊 and Da’iawn Diolch ?
Good on ya for getting out there and giving it the berries Phil. Your videos always epitomise what's so great about our sport. Getting out with your mates, pushing ourselves, enjoying the great outdoors, plenty of banter and of course coffee and cake afterwards. Well done sir!
