Just what I was looking for thank you !
Thanks for the video and caution about the throttle. I used hemostats to hold the gas lines in place so I did not have to deal with the throttle. 10 minute job.
The same high rev thing happened to me. Hopefully you resolved it. For me, I had not put the throttle cable back between the two prongs on the bulb assembly, letting it settle down among the gas tubes and when I tightened down the cover, it pushed the throttle cable down and accelerated it. Took me few openings and closings to figure it out.
Thank you for this. I am having the same issue.
Happened to me as well. Thanks for the solution. I took a few pics to help better explain proper throttle rod placement….but doesn’t look like I am allowed to add them to this thread. ☹️
@@bradleydombroski588this comment probably saved me from fiddling with my saw until I broke something. SO glad this has happened to several others so I could find a solution!!!!!
Great vid specially the idle situation.. two long plastic prongs the trigger wire rest in between . Easily overlooked
Simple and to the point. Thanks!!
thanks. hope it helps.
This video was perfect! Thank you so much!
Cool thanks
If you are looking down onto the saw with bar and chain pointed away from you, what side is the "stubby" on? I ask because of course I popped out the bulb before taking a pic and just want to confirm. If you are saying that bulb will only seat one way, suppose that is idiot proofed.
Where'd you get the new bulb?
amzn.to/2oCY2eQ it came with some other parts as well that I've used over time. And two bulbs. ha
how did you fix the idle issue?

I been reading that the fuel filter and air filter are not oem sized , did you Intalled them on yours ? If so did they work?
i did, they worked. the air filter seemed a shade snugger, but if it's off, it's like 1/32-1/16th...
I did this and now my chainsaw won't idle, it's always going full speed, any help?
Check the placement of your throttle rod. The are two plastic prongs, one atop the other, located between purge button an on/off switch, on the backside of mount plate. Throttle rod should route thru the two prongs, which keeps it above the two gas lines entering rear of purge bulb. Took some great pics to help others, but unfortunately I cannot add to this thread. Good luck.
@@bradleydombroski588 my hero, worked perfect! Thank you brother
