Rkykker, I appreciate how you always explain builds as if 1) someone is fresh to Diablo 3, and 2) they've never watched your channel. I know that's what got ME watching a few seasons back, and I appreciated it then, too. Since 25 is starting up today, and I'm going to be playing with someone relatively new, it makes it super easy to recommend your videos to them knowing they'll be in good hands. Keep it up!!
One thing, you kinda forgot about the passive sentry dmg on bombardiers rucksack, meaning that only dead mans legacy can go into the cube because we need that huge sentry dmg passive that cant be cubed, just like res cost reduction on yangs. Also I think this build has a bit more variety then just focus/restraint/squirts when it comes to jewlery, at least 2 more options are also at the top. Other then that, perfect guide, very detailed as always!
I'll have to remember that. I cubed Bombardiers because I got an ancient dead man's legacy. I will have to try and get a Bombardiers instead. I am only playing at GR100 right now to work on levelling all my gems, so I haven't noticed the difference, but I imagine if I start pushing up higher I will need to switch and equip Bombardiers and cube Dead Man's. Honestly, I am having so much fun playing this build, it's kind of fun to put up artillery bombardment around my enemies and just kill them with a billion multishots at one time.
@@eryian The build is so much fun and offers so much variety, i changed my rings, amulet and bracers (generator vs non generator builds) and all are very close to each other in terms od power. Btw, one build for speed farms I havent seen anybody use is no generator with prides fall cubed. I finish GR100 in 1.20 with it, gives you endless vaults and ofc hatred, extremly easy and fun to play, I erge everyone to try it, most fluent way to speedfarm, just make sure you have 2 cheat deaths just for safety.
@@MA-rq6ie I switched out of Squirts/Focus/Restraint because I found it too squishy for my tastes while pushing solo. I went for Travellers/Compass/Convection of Elements instead and I find that nice and stable. I have enough embers and shards in the bank that I can try and get the 3rd level ability I need on my sliver and dregs. Right now I was just playing with the random abilities while I slow geared up. Even without being optimized I still have no trouble doing a GR100 and I would push higher but I want to get my legendary gems levelled first. I have so many spare shards in the bank, I just don't have enough emeralds to do augments on more than my weapon. I keep trying to farm gems but it's slow going.
@@eryian You need some luck on puzzld rings, I got a few ancient and they gave me at least a few augments. Also convert gems, without conversion its going to be too slow. Also you can spam farm Zoltan for dregs of lies and salvage for minimum 3 gems, maybe best way to farm gems this season.
@@eryian what I did was create an alt sader (called him Sadermule 😂) Then I just lvl him up to just lvl 31 and stop. Cause at lvl 31, crusaders only have 3 rings to gamble, & 1 of it is puzzle rings. Since I have tons of blood shards after smashing GRs like crazy, I just use him to gamble rings whenever I have extra. Also use Broken Helm on your follower with either the gem you want or don't want, coz of its ability to drop the same type of socketed gem (Emanates). Then buy the gem essences from Squirt at act 2, then use the Kanai's recipe to convert the unwanted gems to your preferred 9 at a time. Easy gem farming 😎 Update: you also need to unsocket your soul shard and socket either the gem you want or vice versa if running solo. Otherwise it won't work 😅
I've been playing this build this season and it's sooo much fun. I love the highly tactical playstyle revolving around placing your sentries in the right spot so that they hit everything while you keep your distance.
I've always been a fan of the Maelstrom rune for Cluster Arrows, just nuking an entire screen with literally ALL of the rockets makes my brain release the happy chemicals
In practice I find that Cluster Arrow is not only a bit easier to play at higher levels, but also more adaptable or versatile due to only needing one quiver, not two. With Dawn equipped it is easy to get to be able to keep vengeance up all the time, then equip Aughild's instead of the Crimson set and equip Zoe's Secret in the belt slot, freeing up the armor slot in the cube for something like Visage of Gunes.
Forgotten detail about companion: Ferret companion activation also picks up progression orbs, which can speed up grabbing them from, for example, molten explosions or over walls. It won't be useful even every rift, but it allows you to squeeze out a couple seconds every now and then. Most of the time, you can also just mash Vengeance, because of the Sliver of Terror soul shard buffing you for every skill on CD.
Love this vid. When I heard of the update, I started using the new info for a new build, but thanks to Rhykker, my build is many times better. He does an amazing job with the info and provides the reasons for the skills and items. Keep up the great work. Also, love the small misspeak with the Flavor of Time. It happens to the best of us and I got a good laugh, which made the vid all the more enjoyable.
It's insane once you get your two shards maxed out at three. I only had my main legendary gems at 25 each, and with the two shards I was already pushing GR95.
I'm so stuck on stupid with this build and how much better it has become. However, I went with the cold variant of the build and still hits like a truck. Love it!
Thanks a ton for the work you put into these guides and your explanations. My first time playing a DH since the one I had at the game's release, and this helped me a good bit.
I only bothered starting season a few days ago and had most of this build set up without Yang's Recurve. I got sort of lucky early in and rolled an Ancient Hallowed Condemnation. Before finding the Recurve, rather than rely on Multishot (for my own attacks) I instead had Ninth Cirri cubed and was using Hungering Arrow for the most part. Worked quite well, especially given that I'm using Endless Walk instead of Bastions. I just park myself with 5 sentries nearby and stuff melts...
As others have mentioned the video offsets what is being said. Although now the top builds for this are running a slightly different layout. I don't even use a generator on my DH as it's not needed. Also don't need hatred generator for Vengeance. Spam cluster arrow indefinitely without ever running out of hatred due to high cooldown and resource cost reduction. Your companion skill will refill your hatred every time you cast it off cooldown also.
Completed a 132 in high 11 mins non seasonal with the cluster arrow build. My gear is pretty much fully optimized tho. Couple pieces could have a few better rolls but not by much.
I think the next thing Blizz should patch into the game is all sets to emanate from your followers, even if they aren't out, so you can mix&match any 2 sets from all classes! Then raise the GR cap to 200. :)
The only thing you goofed on was Season 26 ; Soul Shards aint in S26 at all, was solely Season 25, unless I'm missing something??? This cluster arrow build absolutely slaps though, thank you for that.
I enjoyed the vid and watched it a view times to better comprehend the massive learning curve that can be this game. Can be, if not for stuff like this. My only thought though is what if this is our first season and we don't have any soul shards from season 26? I took to green gems in the weapons and yellow or white in the helm, depending.
Ok maybe I’m a Diablo nerd, but the seethe tune in vengeance turns Demon Hunter red not blue how it’s seen in gameplay style you are running. Dark heart run turns Demon Hunter blue.
Brand new D3 player here, I have the switch version which I guess is more different than I realized because at least on the switch it seems you can't take Companion *and* Vault, and you can't take Sentry *and* Vengeance, in both cases you have to choose only one. just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how to most closely match this build with those drawbacks
so do sentries just fire your hatred spenders now? like how they did back in the day* what if you dropped vengance and did both multi shot and cluster shot, that would be awesome lol
It would be massively weaker though due to only being able to cube either manticore OR dead man's for a huge multiplier while the sentries can only shoot one type at a time, also the damage increase from having vengeance on permanent CD is a massive dmg/survival buff from the sliver of terror helm shard the build will use.
so ive been following the maxroll guide to every detail possible, so far i have every set piece and legendary i need including in cube, no god roll ancients or primals yet on anything. i have a decent soul shard in helm and weapon, plus my 3 main gems are lvl 50+ atm. My issue is that I'm majorly slacking behind my 2 buddies who both made Inna monks. During leveling and gearing I was by far the carry, now I cant even keep up with dps while they shove through 110 rifts and I have just been leeching for gear upgrades which gets boring. Am I doing something wrong? What upgrades should I be focusing on to catch up faster? My dps is noticeably worse than theirs by a long shot and I'm also crazy squishy (500k or less hp)
-Get ya toughness up (flawless 💎) -Augment every single piece of ancient gear you got on -Farm the correct gear for you, then make the meta match your playstyle -Farm GR 90s till you get it under 1:30 (d3 rng be a bitch with the rooms in rifts) Everything else will come. as Rhykker mentioned it you will get the five turrets by the combination of the specific legendary of hand arrows and the specific passive skill custom engineering if I remember it right...🙂🙂🙂
At around 4 minute mark, he says to put Manticore in the cube if you're using cluster arrow but doesn't say what to put in the cube if you're using multi-shot... Any thoughts on this guys? @Rhykker
you will make a str based character (either Barbarian either Crusader) you will leave it to LvL 1 but when you will find a awesome Templar Str Gear you will transfer it to stash to either change the dex with Str in mystic (Myriam I think here's name) or if you have the materials you will use the reforge legendary recipe in cube. I had the same. problem untill I suddenly thought it that in previous season (season 24) with my Necromancer and all my followers and it helps me A LOT...😲 so that is my opinion/advice 🙂 p.s. if you try it and helps you I would be very happy to know it 🙂...
if you mean what he means when he says put the XXX item in cube he means that you will benefit from the process of using one legendary item in a specific place of the cube (you have three different slots in , one for weapon, one for armor and one for rings or amulets) you to extract the legendary items power/ability using the first if I remember correctly recipe of the cube . This is one of the many goodies of the cube that's helps a lot all the players of Diablo 3 who are playing in season and of season ....!!! 😲😉🙂
I'm around 138 on playstation 4 using the cluster arrow version. My gear is pretty good but I'm not using yangs. Console play at higher gr is much harder than pc play, so I'm guessing with the yangs and on pc this could do 145ish
I would love this build, but the playstyle looks just about as frustrating as you can get. The stop-start all the time just kills me even to watch in the background. Great guide though.

For some reason on xbox edition even with the build 100% complete my sentries are topping out at a total of 3 and not doesn't seem to try to go past a max of 3.

Welcome to D3, a game that's entirely built and balanced around a handful of sets and there is no build diversity. It has been that way since it was released.
@@kma3647 A handful of sets? Each class has 5 main sets plus additional smaller sets with a significant array of build variation both in gear and skills. On top of that are 6 non-class sets and 18 crafted sets. This is, at minimum, 66 core sets which can be mixed together even before taking into account the hugely variable (and often more powerful) LoD builds for each class. This is far more diversity than D2 ever had.

I've been enjoying the new set gimmicks this season in ps4 softcore. I'm cap'pin out around gr138 solo until I'm hitting a wall. Limitations of console play means I can't aim well for turrent placement or vault, but can still do a weak roll with the joystick. My build is very similar but weaker due to what I've found. Haven't found a good yang's yet, but did get a primal manticore, so I shot slower. Instead of vault I've been using preperation with the hatred regeneration rune. Adding another skill to the cooldown list seems to help up the damage from the shard of terror. Other than that and missing elemental damage on my amulet my gear is essentially perfect and fully augmented. Not sure how much higher I can push even if I get a good yangs.

Dp you have any issues getting the extra 2 sentries when equipping the bombardiers rucksack? i have 3 sentries with or without it...

I play on the Switch. Make sure you have Elective Mode selected in options. Allows multiple choices from same category.

S25 with Soul Shards. Loved the runes. But build applies to most seasons. Usually always Diamond gem in helm for CDR and Cpt. Crimson's.

Custom Engineering passive skill makes your sentries at 3. then bombadier's rucksack quiver makes it 5.
How do you get 5 turrets, atm I only get 4. Do i need more Cooldown? Cause also on the stats i dont see that cooldown is needed.

Its a fun build but not really good. Replacing turrets makes it quite slow.. ppl are playing monk and wizzards on PS and they seem more efficient
I still think GoD set is the best dh. Especially if you play non season, because you keep paragon lvls
Can we use the relic that grant all skills to our follower since we are already using enforcer gem which is enough to keep them alive right?
You can but make sure you stack a lot of vitality/gems. They are useless if they die and a 20sec cd to respawn

How do you get the Templar Str gear? I only get dex gear as a Demon Hunter.
you will make a str based character (either Barbarian either Crusader) you will leave it to LvL 1 but when you will find a awesome Templar Str Gear you will transfer it to stash to either change the dex with Str in mystic (Myriam I think here's name) or if you have the materials you will use the reforge legendary recipe in cube. I had the same. problem untill I suddenly thought it that in previous season (season 24) with my Necromancer and all my followers and it helps me A LOT...😲 so that is my opinion/advice 🙂

if you mean what he means when he says put the XXX item in cube he means that you will benefit from the process of using one legendary item in a specific place of the cube (you have three different slots in , one for weapon, one for armor and one for rings or amulets) you to extract the legendary items power/ability using the first if I remember correctly recipe of the cube .
This is one of the many goodies of the cube that's helps a lot all the players of Diablo 3 who are playing in season and of season ....!!! 😲😉🙂

I'm around 138 on playstation 4 using the cluster arrow version. My gear is pretty good but I'm not using yangs. Console play at higher gr is much harder than pc play, so I'm guessing with the yangs and on pc this could do 145ish

I would love this build, but the playstyle looks just about as frustrating as you can get. The stop-start all the time just kills me even to watch in the background. Great guide though.

The troublesome part is laying out the 5 sentries, but you get those out, get ready to be in awe by the 60k damage multiplier. Hell yeah!
Rank 1 DH currently cleared Grift 150 in 1:18 seconds using Dreadlands build. So I guess he's either cheating or GG to Sentry build.

Confirmed it was an exploit, due to the momentum stack issue, and Blizzard addressed it by giving those players 2 weeks of temp ban.

For some reason on xbox edition even with the build 100% complete my sentries are topping out at a total of 3 and not doesn't seem to try to go past a max of 3.

@@Rhykker got it on my 13th run. Rolled a couple hundred blood shards after that and Kadala blessed me with a primal marauder helm. Sometimes you just have to make a little joke I guess and you find your luck again. Thanks a lot for the guide, I’m having a blast running it!

Welcome to D3, a game that's entirely built and balanced around a handful of sets and there is no build diversity. It has been that way since it was released.

@@kma3647 A handful of sets? Each class has 5 main sets plus additional smaller sets with a significant array of build variation both in gear and skills. On top of that are 6 non-class sets and 18 crafted sets. This is, at minimum, 66 core sets which can be mixed together even before taking into account the hugely variable (and often more powerful) LoD builds for each class.
This is far more diversity than D2 ever had.

I've been enjoying the new set gimmicks this season in ps4 softcore. I'm cap'pin out around gr138 solo until I'm hitting a wall. Limitations of console play means I can't aim well for turrent placement or vault, but can still do a weak roll with the joystick.
My build is very similar but weaker due to what I've found. Haven't found a good yang's yet, but did get a primal manticore, so I shot slower. Instead of vault I've been using preperation with the hatred regeneration rune. Adding another skill to the cooldown list seems to help up the damage from the shard of terror. Other than that and missing elemental damage on my amulet my gear is essentially perfect and fully augmented. Not sure how much higher I can push even if I get a good yangs.
