Another small and fancy Samsung CRT gets destroyed. I decided to do something a little fancy for episode 100 of season 7, so I hope everyone enjoys it!
the squealing comes from the high frequency flyback transformer which can output up to 50KVDC or 50 Thousand Volts Direct Current it energizes the inside of the screen for the positive piece of the tube while the ground and negative is wired up to the electron gun
I saw this video in my UA-cam home feed recommendations, and I have to say, that looks like a similar model to what The 8-Bit Guy uses in some of his videos!

Ibookguy has the same TV which he was got as a gift by Samsung. TV is now 24 years old and works in perfect condition. He modified it to use RGB input and he can hook up older computers like commander X16. Update 2021: Now he has 3 of those Hitrons (one fo them (his) have the modded Component In) and the correct model of this TV is TX-D1372, not TV348.

Better to destroy everything Hardly any of you are familiar with how tedious the setting of an crt was. Because we Germans break 836,907 tons of old electrical appliances every year. Not sad for the devices. These lives don't. I have more to offer for the people who ultimately dispose of our rubbish. Actually, you should be ashamed of something like that. Such people should go to China and think about what he's doing. Psychotherapy might also be useful because something like this is not normal and human in my opinion. And it is certainly not entertainment.

Such a shame to see a decent little Sammy CRT get waisted like that, would have made someone happy out there who is struggling to find one like it, would have been just right for SNES/N64/PS1/and so on. It was in such good shape too, the tube was nice and bright, ah well, another one for the little starving kids to pick at for scraps when dumped in their country for landfill. Gold star mate.
He’s just having a bit of fun, there are plenty others like it around. And if you think there’s so much demand and eventually there is, then maybe someone will start remanufacturing CRTs. I own a few and like to use them a lot and find them cool but I will also get a broken or crappy one and smash it from time to time
@@charlie_nolan the thing is, most parts for CRT tvs don't even existed anymore and manufacturing them is damaging to the enviroment. I like this video tho

it was keyed on, it wasn't actually displaying anything. Plus these have composite inputs so it wouldn't be hard to play stuff on it.

I've managed to display UA-cam videos on a CRT TV and it's actually quite simple to do because earlier versions of Rokus are AV compatible.
I plugged a gaming console in a crt once that was connected to the internet and it had UA-cam on it
