Hey there all you beautiful People How are you all again at the end of another crazy week?? Another relaxingly simple video today and nice big addition to the stack . Now everyone loves some big Copper bricks that's for sure. Here's 2 more old cabinets I got from my mates farm when I picked up the other ones last month. Unfortunately I can't find the footage of them in the trailer, but you can see them in the other video sitting in the background. Not to worry, another crazy weather week in Western Australia, but we got there in the end so all is good . And as I always say sit back relax and have yourself an awesome weekend
I feel the obligatory "which ever video length is easier for you" is appropriate here! If the shorter videos are easier to manage with everything else in your life, then please start cutting them back! If the longer videos are easier because it's less to cut, then please start making them longer! As long as you are enjoying the making of the videos and they still bring you joy and fulfillment, we will all love to watch them! Kudos from Mississippi!
@@nidustenebris You have quite the gift, being able to read emotions through a computer. It was an observation as to being retired and "nothing" better to do. To relate, I'm 46 and retired, and have lots to do! Don't be a sheeple and get defensive at words.
@@thememingoflife5452 I'm usually doing the same, but it's also cool to wake up and finish where I left off. Sometimes I deliberately pass out before the BigSnackD moment because I don't wanna go raiding the fridge in the middle of the night 🤣
Bird Whisper, we wait a week so 10 min or 2hrs, we will watch! I like how you get the materials, scrap em down, melt it, pour it, feed birds, watch out for spy planes, snack time is the toughest, monkey time is awesome, weight price and shine times too!❤️🇨🇦
Longer videos, please. I do love watching the phase changes from solid to liquid and then back to solid again. I love watching the crystallization as it reforms.
Hands down longer videos. Your videos have been the highlight of my Fridays for the past 2 years. Every time a video comes to an end, it leaves me with a similar bittersweet feeling like when vacations are coming to an end. Now with the longer videos, I usually watch them in two or sometimes even in three sittings. This eliminates that bitter feeling and makes the wait for the next Friday shorter and easier. Your videos are clearly segmented in chapters; picking scrap, dismantling, preparation of equipment, bird feeding, smelting, pouring, food/drink break, doggo break, polishing, weighing, value calculation, fan mail, stack showcasing, doggos extra content. So those who don't like the longer format can easily skip the parts they are not interested in or increase the payback speed. But if you keep going with the shorter video format, those of us who prefer the longer videos, there is nothing we can do about it. But, anyway, whatever you decide, love you man 34:17 ;)
All the videos of bigstackd casting whether they or short or long videos they will always be relaxing and very interesting and I will always be waiting on Friday for bigstackd videos
Im pretty simple! If you make a shorter video, I watch it. If you make a longer video, I watch it. Your vids are one of the few that I wont skip. Even though I'm retired, if im busy I may watch a longer video in a couple sessions or I may save it until later and watch the whole thing at once. But i have never skipped a video, I enjoy them all, especially the nice copper melts! Have a wonderful weekend!
You and my son completely made my day!! I was totally not expecting the little shout-out at the weigh in. Thank you very much. Long video or short video doesn't matter just keep them coming please. I enjoy them so much and absolutely love your humor!
to answer your question, I love the longer vids. Chilling on a friday afternoon watching an hour long melt hits different sorry for being really cringe but omg i have never gotten this many likes on a comment. 120 is crazy
Indeed. I've been watching for years and always Friday mornings are me watching the vid of the week. Like a signal to the beginning of the weekend that lets me wind down and decompress.
Personally, I prefer shorter videos. About half hour. I haven’t been watching as many because there’re so long. And it’s always exactly the same. Melt copper or aluminum. Unlike CEE which is always something different.
To be honest, I like the longer videos. It's fun to see the work you put into preparing to melt, the dogs, the birds, the bits of cooking, the rain, everything. Also, I find the sound of the devil forge to be soothing after a long night of working. It helps me relax enough to sleep. Mostly though this content is just great. I hope you keep doing it.
I like the vids where you break things down. So I think the length of this one is about perfect. Unless it's a massive teardown, then it can be longer.
Prefer the longer ones, especially when your 2 costars get some screen time. Honestly, large or small I’ll watch them all! Thank you for all the awesome content!
Good haul there Big D! That stack will get to your target before you know it! As for video length, I don't mind what length they are, short or long. Was good to see you use the mango sauce on your sliders. Have a great weekend mate. Talk soon.
Yeah mate, that sauce is pretty nice sweet and just needs a little bit more kick but very enjoyable. I haven’t tried the hotter ones yet I’m gonna get through this and then eat them one at a time as I don’t want to have five or six open at once in case they spoil over the time it takes me to eat them👍🏻. Yeah mate that cutter Crusher is coming along nicely and will be a welcome edition that’s for sure. Hopefully my mention will generate some people your way. I see the subs are creeping up that’s a great sign. Thanks again buddy have yourself an awesome weekend and chat with you soon👊🏻😁.
I like long videos. Half hour minimum and over an hour is fine. I find your work very interesting. I watch most of your videos 2 or 3 times or even more if one is a bit unusual. I am retired from machining so I like anything dealing with metal. I spent my whole life making oil well instruments or aircraft parts which ever field was booming.
Nice tidy bench!!! Love the longer vids. Love to wind down and relax to them, so soothing. Sometimes fall asleep and have to watch them again, love it!
Definitely the longer videos. I start my Fridays, here in south Arkansas, with them. Then, I'll loop them throughout the week to have something cool in the background. You should see my friends jump when those big black birds cut up with the crazy calls. That's not something you hear in this neck of the woods. Keep up the good work!
45 min to an hour feels about right....been watch for years, thanks for posting ....and don't forget everyone let most of the commercials run thru so big stack can get paidD.
Any video from you is great!! Personally the longer the better! Seriously I would watch a 4+ hour video of yours every day! I just got a 25kg melting furnace and a two burner bladesmithing forge and anvil waiting for me to get a bigger place where the neighbors won't complain or call the cops/fire department on me!
Yes 45 minutes is a nice round number but I just see how I go. Bigger breakdowns have a lot more footage and I just try to cut out everything that’s not interesting and always try to keep things moving. Normally I’ll get about six or seven hours of footage and just have to compress it down so will see how we go buddy. UA-cam algorithm would probably prefer longer videos as that would give more watchtime to the channel and more ads would pop up making UA-cam more revenue so i’m guessing UA-cam would prefer videos🤔. Cheers for the super thanks mate I really appreciate it. I best be off and have a look for something else to melt for next weeks video as I have no idea yet. Have a great weekend buddy 👋🏻

We especially love the segments with the “Monkeys” and the hidden food snack breaks. Thanks for being the best part of UA-cam for us. 👍🏼
longer videos would be great can't get enough of them I used to strip cable here in Bunbury for one of the scrap dealers as a side hobby for a few dollars and know how long it takes even with a machine. He used to sell his copper in Kwinana because bight copper is worth more than copper with the covering on.
Long videos are fine by me or short, it's that you upload them is truly good for me. I hope you have a great Friday or Saturday depending on the time in Austrailia!
Your magpies love you. They're waiting at the door for you to open up with the dogfood. I love when you pour the really big ingots and when they cool, they look like the crust on pound cakes. Speaking of food, Big Fat D makes some yummy sliders. When I think of Australia, I think of the desert Outback. Your monsoons make everything even greener.
I've always been meaning to ask, and always forget - how come when you melt copper, no matter how much contaminants were on the wire or parts beforehand, there's virtually no slag compared to aluminum or brass, etc? Is there something special about the way copper melts that it doesn't really make slag? Also, have you ever accidentally turned over a brick to remove it from a mould and it's still been liquid enough to break open and spill?
Copper is not as reactive to oxygen compared to zinc, brass, aluminum and so on, so there is hardly any slag on top. What sits on top is only impurities that float to the surface. Depending on who you ask it is considered to be a noble metal, due to its low reactivity. In contrast, molten lead, zinc and aluminum, to name a few, react with oxygen in air to form a skin of oxidize on top which should be skimmed before casting. (Though copper, silver and mercury are not always regarded as noble metals, since there is no single definition for what makes an element noble.)
1 hr videos are perfect. It allows you to show a how much prepping goes into before melting, the length of melting and final processing your ingots/coin afterwards. 👍❗️🪙🪙🪙

I know it's a lot more work invested on your end, but I really enjoy the longer videos. Not just the meltings. I really like seeing you procuring items, the breakdown, any projects you're working on, and of course, the puppies. Keep making content, and I'll keep watching. Thank you.
The long format is the best. Relaxing on a Friday night after a long stressful workweek, pure bliss.
Your call on the length of the videos - I watch all of them!
Superb, completely filled, well-rounded copper pours are the best; so very satisfying.
