Congratulations Aston! Glad to see this team and TBS back in action after a hiatus. This was overall a fun performance, with interesting choreography and formations, and good, but not great, execution.
    Intro:
-Great! Beginning the set in darkness, minus one jodi, and that jodi in essence bringing the rest of the team onto stage was a fresh idea. Also very interesting to begin the routine with katos all across the board. It was a good risk to take; however, it led to the formal kato segment thereafter to feel more stale. I would have much preferred a mela type intro segment with the team using various props (chimta, kato, saaps, khunde, etc.) and then a formal kato segment to follow.
    Kato segment (post intro):
-Energy was solid from the start of this segment. The issues began after the first major mechanism leading to the box formation - the ripple/wave effect with various lines scanning through the box was so quick that multiple dancers were practically running (blue male, green female) & not falling into lines on count 4. This led to this segment going from unique and fresh (primarily because of the team starting with katos) to now a blur without significant purpose.
-The chorus with the blue and red jodis crossing stage was wonderful. However the idea was possibly not packaged as well as it could have been. Specifically, the 14 other dancers' move while on a knee significantly distracted from the nakhra and movement between this focal point at the chorus hit.
    Saaps:
-Transition into this segment was good. The move sequence beginning at 3:10 was too jumbled - the stage appears to be huge at TBS, so the team could have easily utilized more width to get this ripple spin drop effect to work better.
-Again at 3:25, similar to during kato segment, you have dancers running to their spots, and in effect compromising their form, dancing, and execution.
-At the chorus hit, again, we see red and blue male jodis in the center. They're great dancers, but could have definitely varied this by giving the female dancers or other colors the time to shine here.
    Dancing segment:
-Dancing without props seems to have been a major plus for this team in comparison to dancing with props. I wonder if instead of beginning the routine with a saap segment, the saap segment came a little later to create a foundation of cleanliness?
-Beautiful and straightforward formation mechanism prior to the Jind jaan chorus drop - good job
    Khunde segment:
-Simple nice transition. Not too much fluff here.
-I quite like the circle idea with the khunde trading
-When completing a move with high-risk and low-to-moderate reward such as the team wide khunde spins, you have to get the team in sync with it. Doing it well would have given the audience and judges a "Nice.. not bad" reaction, whereas having it out of sync now takes away from the entirety of the segment, unfortunately.
    Jhoomer:
-Absolutely beautiful. Great ideas in this segment and really well executed. I would have wished to see slightly more jodi jhoomer moves.
    Dancing Segment(s):
-I liked the peeling off idea from circle to circle + girls line. During this period both circle and line didn't maintain their shape/formation. Those are easy points and things to fix and address.
-6:32 - This effect could have been so much better emphasized had circle of 7 guys maintained their legs being bent and chest more parallel to the ground. The red male in the middle, as a result, got covered during half of these counts.
-7:26 - the 10-12 seconds leading to this were wonderful
-Ending song(s) - there was much more diversity in formations and choreo. Not much to point out in ideas, but several dancers were cheating on their form and execution.
Overall: Great job Aston! You all put together a great set that clearly was successful. The level of execution was not as high as I would have expected from a 1st place set at TBS as there were multiple moments of formation mishaps (not getting into formation on time, running into spot, face and or chest facing the direction of movement instead of towards the audience), execution errs (hunching on behtke, feet together on jumps, cheating and not completing moves, etc.) & prop issues. The first few segments felt more shaky than did the latter 60% of the routine as well. I would also recommend working on diversifying your "hits" and giving the girls on the team more time to shine in the front and center. The pandemic probably has played a big role in preventing consistency in practice schedules, so despite that putting up an entertaining performance such as this is a big deal! Good job and congrats on the 1st.
