Amazing performance from Aston, worthy winners. The pair in the orange bodied this entire routine
Aston, beautiful performance and congratulations on the win. There are times where I wonder what performances I should show my peers, friends, and family as a representation of bhangra; usually that entails a performance being captivating, diverse, well balanced, and just purely effective. This was probably one of those routines. Your team's performance was enjoyable, well-crafted, easy to follow, and just overall great.
Granted, the UK circuit is very much different from that from the rest of the world - mechanisms, placements, spontaneity of hits, etc. are given a great emphasis. At times, these aspects of bhangra though are taken to an extreme to create segments and routines that, sure, are technically sound, but difficult to follow and in essence not enjoyable (most notably to the lay person). Your team's routine and performance were truly different and emphasized a new standard by finding a great balance between dancing technicalities, routine ingenuity, and performance skills.
In terms of routine creation, there were many positives - 1) formations were well planned, not excessive, and complemented the choreo 2) transitions were made well (i.e. the roll out of shikke/sapps in the corners, dropping off khunde, fasla + spins ending jhoomer) 3) the great variation in flow. It was slightly apparent that the younger/newer dancers were often placed in the corners or weren't the focal point of segments. Similarly, the girls on the team also weren't featured with front & center time during major "hits". Adding more variation in this can add some more freshness into the routine and help develop all dancers more than expected. However, these are a few minor things that can easily be improved. Once again Aston, congrats! I'm certain bhangra fans everywhere would be excited to this team go head to head against other top teams internationally! Best of luck at future competitions.

North American bhangra circuit should learn from UK bhangra, coz most of them represent total bollywood mix crap set. However, teams like spd, ggw, vancity, soormay, cornel, cmu are few amazing teams which sets higher level
