Just see an update in the Echo concerning the pitch. The hope is that work on the pitch will start in early May preparing the site ready for when the specialist pitch contractor arrives in June and should take 20weeks to complete!Great update as usual Nick ! COYB💙
Excellent video Mr Drone - some of the barrel cladding for the north west corner has been moved to the back of the north stand and there is a big yellow crane up in that corner now. I'm sure they said on the EFC video a couple of weeks back that there would be a 2 week break on the barrel cladding work and then they would start the next part on the north west corner, so I would imagine they'll be starting it again soon. Also, the steel frames are being put up for the second part of the western terrace... And lastly, I think somebody mentioned a few weeks back about the missing glass panes on the north stand - somebody said there were a couple of broken panes on the ground, so maybe they are just waiting for replacements?
All I can reveal is that the holes in buildings act as "gateways for the spirt dragons, that reside in the hills, behind the towers". Blocking the path to the water could bring misfortune to local residents. So the interpretation of this antient text would be Tower (St Rupert's tower) hills (Wales Mossley hill or Everton) Water is the (Mersey) entrance must be North of the building.
I love your videos Mr Drone. The information you give about the connection with the history of the dock and the modern building of the stadium is brilliant. Can't wait to visit. Best wishes, Graeme from Portsmouth. Play Up Pompey.
Not to contradict the 'Chinese Dragon's fella but I reckon a more feasible explanation is that the gaps in the glass have been left to allow for our efforts on goal to 'breathe'.
Hi Nick, I asked if the glass was bird friendly, but you didn't quite understand me because you mentioned the overhang on the north stand. Birds fly into glass all over the world, get stunned, and die upon impact with the ground. Maybe dots are on some panes because I haven't noticed any poor birds struggling on the floor.
Loved Mark's ideas for a mural wrap along the North Stand Glass. Everton could make that fabulous, but of course they won't including the suggestions I have put to them of an exclusive 'Golden Vision Ale' sold only inside the ground. Simple suggestions which Everton just ignore.
I think the stained glass on the north stand would look a little tacky and not match the style of the rest of the building. The design looks alright, but the vibe of the stadium isn't churchy. (I definitely wouldn't make the design with A.I. either🤭🤣) I think any final signage should match the warehouse style of the dock area. Big letters on brick etc. Hopefully the beauty of the stadium will come from the football being played in side. There is some superstition/tradition in building, like the topping out ceremony, but for this one I'm assuming the glass was damaged or it wasn't built correctly so we've just had to reorder those specific shapes to be installed at a later date.
Excellent operator focus in the face of distraction - I can understand the chap's anxiety for his business, but just a little over the top with the proposed security response. Enjoyed your tour of inspection; there's so much going on. I liked the two images created by Mark, and given the spaceship that's landed in the midst of all this heritage, his stained glass works (or maybe an enamelled plaque) are of an almost religious iconography in their execution by comparison. Unhelpful notions: Perhaps the window gaps are to allow the ball boys to re-enter when fetching back a wild clearance? Maybe the stadium could be fitted with chromed wing mirrors to go with the Ford Anglia rear window on the south side, and windscreen wipers on the north side.
Hi Nick I believe they are going to do the North West corner of the barrel cladding. Those stained glass windows look fantastic and hopefully can be in corporate into the windows & the club history of the club in stained glass would be stunning and unique, and the wall is also looking brilliant. Stephen
The stain glass maybe couldn’t be used as main glass as I’m sure when the sun shines on it, it would cast unwanted coloured reflections within the stadium & probably on the pitch. The plaque is a great idea, but maybe Mark could spell Goodison correctly? (ie - without 2 s’s!!🙄) Great video & info, as always👍🏻💙
Nick, I love the progress thanks for showing us who can't come and visit! Could you bring someone in to explain the history of the train tracks and how things way back in the day? I love the history of the city and how Everton have retained that history too. Also, on the West side of the ground, how will the water be reinstated to the covered over section? What happens there...?
Hi Nick Thinking back the Leith design is on the stone benches on the Eastern plaza and I was looking at something else and saw the designs edging the benches Stephen
Another great video, Nick. Well done handling that bloke. He sounded suspiciously like one of those coppers who pulled you the other week, well spoken and all that. Regarding the stained glass reviews: I think Mark might be on to something with the spelling of "Goodisson" you know? Around 1100 years ago the Vikings were knocking around the area and traveling up and down the Mersey. Our "Goodison" could well have been derived from "Goodisson", which sounds like a right proper Nordic name. One thing I will pull Mark up on though is his "1550" on the badge seeming to indicate the year we were founded instead of 1878. I think he might have the numbers in the wrong order, "5150" more like.
It's an AI generated image so both the '1550' and 'Goodisson' misspells are the best approximations that Bing AI can find to create accurate images. You should have seen the ones I binned from the AI that had a red liver bird on them (AI bias is real!)... ;)
Like the stadium plaques idea. But in reality would have to be three plaques, Anfield in its original form, Goodison and then on top Bramley Moore Dock.
He was waiting for his latest delivery from Columbia or about to start filming hard core movies, cock fighting, dog fighting dogging site take your pick

Hi Nick, How deep are they digging down for pitch preparations? Didn't realise they were digging down but I did think the seats right at pitch level were very level to the pitch, so digging down will help this
Feng Shui? Nick, I think they've taken the word gullible out of the dictionary, go check! Ref the mural, awesome idea for the future but we're currently currently skint.
@@Jstroud3 “Anti-climb bits” & “public parks closing” makes this a bit of a weird thread tbh. Cant envisage anyone carrying ladders to ‘break into’ the fan plaza either
@@davegerrard4960 well that's what happens when people try to be clever and pick apart a question. obviously it wouldnt just be to break into the plaza would it. The building site has already been broken into several times. I doubt they'll want that to happen when the stadium is finished.
Sorry Nick, I can't find an email address for you. Followed from the start Mr D, always been on my mind, the concrete upstand at the back of each stand which forms the back of the terrace doesn't look very high. What's to prevent people from climbing on and over these?
Great video as per nick, we're you in new Brighton on sat? I passed a white car (not gonna state brand) and the driver looked exactly like you. Hopefully they start the n/w stand cladding soon.
Hi Nic another good video mate. Not sure if this has been asked before but is there going to be parking at the ground when it’s all done. Just wondered where people will be parking bud…
Not a lot of parking. There will be a car park between the water channel and Mersey exclusively for Directors, Board members, VIPs, etc. I heard that fans’ coaches will be allowed to park on Derby Road
I expect thay will be installed last. No need to get any damaged. As you know they are expensive to buy and therefore replace. I hope the Club will use an app like What3words so the actual location of each stone can be located by family within a couple of meters as there will be a few thousand.
Philippa: 'where' is easy to answer. It'll be on The Everton Way, which is on the Southern Concourse, between the feet of the concrete protectors of the white columns for the South Stand and then the Dockside Balustrades being installed along the north edge of Nelson Dock . The 'when' is much harder to answer but I suspect that the major limiting factor will be the continued need for access for heavy vehicles along that stretch.
Its an AI generation so it could only do an approximation and there's no way to spellcheck it that I've found. I'm suggesting the new stadium name be called 'Betterson Park' :P
Id guess those images are AI generated . But it sparks debate. Surely there has to be some sort of branding of Everton. I liked the second one which seemed to be Goodison Park. So a nod back.
