I guess it's Toyota Canada that has some quality. My 2011 Camry hybrid is Toyota USA and my wife's Prius C is Toyota Japan. Both cars rattle like a city bus when driving on rough roads. My 2006 Accord is quiet, even with 244,000 miles on iot. Penske Toyota refused to fix the 2 yr old Prius with 35,400 miles on it. I don't think you can "lemon law" NVH issues.

The problem is that Toyota became the #1 automaker and then became complacent with their product lineup. They didn't feel the need to keep striving to do better simply because they thought they had established their brand identity as reliable, consistent, and well-made. This was their downfall...soon they let quality slip....and slip and then all of a sudden they find themselves in a rut that they're going to have a difficult time digging out of. Meanwhile GM and Ford are really getting their act together and coming out with vehicles BETTER than anything Toyota makes and customers are starting to see that Toyota isn't the company it used to be and many are going back to American manufacturers (especially GM).

Toyota did get complacent but only for awhile. Since then, they have re-established themselves as the top quality automaker.

I don’t think Toyota or Lexus makes cars like they used to. I feel as though quality has really gone downhill, especially after Covid. My Camry and Lexus NX both have issues with not that many miles on them 😢

I’ve been a huge fan all my life however my 2014 Scion just needed to get towed to the shop because it wouldn’t start, first time I’ve ever had a failure to start after driving 30,000 a year for 11+ years with Toyota’s hope this doesn’t happen again
