I had ketamine infusions to treat my depression and was surprised to find how beneficial it was for my diagnosed fibromyalgia.

I have had severe Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyalitis for 31 years. Meaning, most of my life is spent laying down since sitting and standing are super painful and I'm exhausted all the time.
This year I started Ketamine infusions as wel as a compounded nasal spray of Ketamine daily. It definitely helps but I have had tons of questions.
It would help so much to have a group to be part of online for Fibromyalgia patients who use Ketamine so we could learn from each other and support each other. Is there such a thing? Where?
Thanks so much for doing these videos. My own Ketamine doc isn't so informative. I feel like I'm floundering in the weeds without professional direction. So thank you!

I’ve been dealing with crazy nerve pain from my ears to my jaw, and in my SI joint. They diagnosed it fibromyalgia. I’m sooo interested in these ketamine treatments because it seems like nothing else is working for me! I’m in so much pain!

Is your SI joint still bothering you? I had a fusion done on mine 5 years ago and have fibromyalgia, too. It helped tremendously. It took about a year to totally level out, but it was a good move. I-fuse was the procedure. Best wishes.

If this is effective for fibro, then it should be effective for CFS, RA, Dysautonomia as these are all disregulated nervous system issues. More and more it is coming to light the brain and nervous systems role in ALL chronic illness.

I have been dealing with this disease foe years now, and as complicated as it sounds, my doctor believes I have CRPS as well. This is making sense to me, though there are MANY similar symptoms.
I have been getting ketamine infusions for a few years now, and recently have experienced this connection with god or the universe or whatever you want to call it. Something very deep and magical and spiritual.
Thank you so much for your informative and rather enlightening video! 💕🙏💕

I have recently been diagnosed (after many years of being brushed off by dr's) with small fiber nueropathy after skin biopsy but not fibro, though I believe I do have fibro aswell because I have whole body pain, just havn't been diagnosed cuz most dr's are uneducated when it comes to pain syndromes.
It switches from one pain symptom to a totally different pain symptom constantly. One day will have nerve pain in my hands and feet, then the next day it switches to whole body muscle cramps, then it switches to allodynia where it hurts to put pressure and the muscles start twitching and tremoring, then it will switch to burning in my face and top of head and on and on its crazy.

I've had FM for 40 plus years. I've spent most of my life investigating FM. May I ask you if you have Nonrestorative Sleep which is not the lack of sleep but rather the inability to recharge the body's energy after sleep. As if you feel like you have not slept after sleeping for countless hours. Nonrestorative sleep is one of the hallmarks of Fibromyalgia aka Centralized Sensitization.

@@ResetKetamine Hello I’ve been watching you a lot . I have serious agonizing nerve widespread pain like knives ,hot coals in my rectum ,wearing a razor blade corset and burning skin ,spine ,hip soul crushing pain! I can’t sit stand or lay down without excruciating debilitating crippling severe brutal pain,my clothes and all furniture hurts so I don’t sleep just broken sleep 😖😭 I’m getting infusion on Wednesday and 5 after that ,do you think this can help me ? I’m tried everything. This all started after I was forced off 16 years of 2mg ativan taken as prescribed for one panic attack! I’ve been on a opiate for a neck injury for 32 years and I’m opiate resistant now . Between the darn benzo and opiate my brain is so messed up and I’m excited because this is hopefully the way to rebuild the synaptic and neuron pathways and block the NMDA receptors. 8) Mainly for depression but FM, neuropathy, CRPS too. It's not for the weak of mind! The pain of the death of our 6 day old, 1st granddaughter in 2012 was prevalent. She is FINE in heaven; I am still grieving. This 2nd round has caused an awful FM flare. Rt here at Christmas. Not sure if or when I'll do it again. "Waking" to horrors that I wasn't real anymore were SSOOOO real this time. I was petrified! Even pinched on the dr to be sure i was "back on earth"!! Yes, I had prepared properly!! Still waiting on the positive this round. Setting & caregivers: wonderful! (Revitalizing Infusions, Kissimmee, FL)

I think memory encoding is what's being rescripted by the introspective or "spiritual" encounters. In other words, the patient is working through the body/minds trauma and resetting the fight or flight memory response.

Anti inflammatory and opioids are not effective in fibromyalgia and in fact opioids will make it worse and cause opioid induced hyperalgesia - as the natural opioid system Is already maxed out with the central sensitisation possibly caused by glial cell inflammation - anti inflammatorys will only help if there is also peripheral inflammation as well as the fibromyalgia .As well as the Duloxetine you mention there are also the older tricyclic a/d. As well as attempting to boost the descending inhibitory pathways with neurotransmitters gabapentanoids can be used to dampen glutamate excitement- neither approach works in more than about 1/3 of patients with about 30% pain relief - the numbers are a little better with poly pharmacology such as Duloxetine with Lyrica - but still not great and with bad side effects so Ketamine in a most welcome development.

      1) Ketamine must be used responsibly at all times, and ideally with doctors present. I'm not sure of the exact details of the death in Colorado, but it's not 100% safe, especially in high adrenaline situations involving carotid chokes & unknown medical history.
