Loved this episode! Mary is a cutie pie and I love her giggle. 😊😊 I have been following Cass from Clutterbug for a few years. I am a cricket just like Mary. 🙂🙂 Happy organizing and I hope you will give us a tour of the finished sewing room. ❤️❤️
I haven’t been shopping in Winchester in years. I really miss the shops there. Mary did a fantastic job with your fabrics. I guess you were just showing a little love to the floor. Lol Glad you are ok.
My mother’s two mantras for tidying up and sorting that have stayed with me long after her passing are ‘put same with same’, so in practice it means don’t have multiple places for thread, or interfacing or scissors etc etc etc, put all your thread or needles etc etc together in one spot. Thread with thread, needles with needles. It’s amazing how just doing that cuts down all that wasted ‘looking for something’ time. Her other mantra was ‘don’t put it down, put it away!’ Every time I go to put something down that little voice in my head says, don’t put it down, put it away! She was my quilting buddy, I miss her so much.
Sharing a find for making the fabric mini bolts for your studio. I found the comic book cards to be very flimsy. My sister-in-law turned me on to these gems for wrapping fabric for mini bolts. (Bonus the stock is super sturdy). Amazon sells 50-Pack of Corrugated Cardboard Sheets 9x12, Flat Card Boards - let me tell you this is a game changer. I had bought fabric that was anywhere from 1 yard to the whole bolt 8 to 10 yards. The comic cards are ok for up to 3 yards but any more than that it's a disaster. on these cardboard sheets Heaven! They are sturdy and larger than the comic cards, and they can handle the larger cuts of fabric for your shelves. Just had to share my find with the Quilty folks. PS Mary I need you in my Studio to get it whipped into shape! lol. Ian so happy that you're settling into your new space, and it's a bonus for your fans that you are so close to Becca - I love your banter together, so glad it's kindred spirits between you both. Silly and jovial times had by all. Happy Holidays.
I’ve been wanting to make A place for everything for a WHILE! I have all the supplies but I’m so nervous to cut into my fabric, I’m also using Tula. If you wanted to make a tutorial that would be AWESOME!!!
It’s very nerve-racking to cut into your good fabric. Because By Annie has tutorial videos, I try not to compete with companies and overshadowed their videos.
I know will wish for a Mary whenever it is that I get to be back in my apartment after the renovations are done. Looking forward to being back in and deciding on a good layout of my living room.
OMG I’m watching the replay and in true Ian form and fashion Ian trips and falls over his own fabric box . I’m crying 😂. Hey Mary! Hey Ian! (Nice move Ian)
Ian, change your Auto Lock in Settings to Never just while you are doing your shows, your iPad will stay awake for the duration. Well forever actually. Remember to change back later.
Ended up with some book cases that Becca didn't need any more. I think they were from Ikea but they didn't go all the way to the ceiling. They are about waist high.

Mary is just the best!!

It’s a cute little town.
Hey Ian
I love this organization video with sweet Mary !!
So glad you enjoyed the livestream.
Hi Ian - this was fun to watch. You could make a tote with the canvas and put an outer zip pocket using the galaxy canvas fabric
That odds a good idea!
I love the Noir fabric too😊😊. I even bought the panel
It’s greatness!

Those are great mantras! That is what I am trying to do in my space. I think it will work out well.
I tend to put the selvage with writing on it on the outside. Then if you sort by information on there it’s easy to find!
That is a great way to do it.

I prefer the hem clips because they are longer 🤪 I get them on Amazon
Great tip!

It will be nice once you get it all set back up again. A pain in the meantime.
oh don’t let Tiffany see that skull fabric Ian!! lol
LOL! She might try and take it huh?
Wouldn’t put it past her… she loves skull fabrics. I’ve seen her do unboxing. Lol
Loved seeing your fabric.
I'm glad you did! I did too! LOL!

Yep! That's me! Always falling over something! 😂
Bolt clips
👍
to me, the dog is the one and only Kurt Cobain 😍
Oh! I could see that.
Hey Ian, I think the dog on your fabric at 6:06 might be David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust era, or David BowWow! Lol
Oh! Maybe be!
Oh no…call the paramedics😱 Ian hugged the floor again
*sigh* Seems to happen way too much.
@ im glad you come out unscathed🤣😂🤣
Are you going to teach the a place for everything tote? I have the pattern but nervous to sew it without a tutorial
By Annie has videos on how to create the bags and so I don’t feel it’s my place to compete with them or their business.
@ but are you going to show sewing yours?
Hahahahahaha…my country boy..still looks hot at 60….❤
Nice!
Hello Ian, still a lot to do. I’m sure Mary will have you organised soon.
She’s the best organizer around.
Sorry I missed your live today, watching your stream afterwards
No worries, catch the next one!
I took the quiz…I am a butterfly…haha
Nice!
@ but my style is more like Oscar from the Odd Couple
Ian, change your Auto Lock in Settings to Never just while you are doing your shows, your iPad will stay awake for the duration. Well forever actually. Remember to change back later.
That’s the problem, I would forget to change it back and it would stay on till it died. 🤣
The dog with the striped outfit is David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust makeup
Ohhhhhh!
IAN WHAT KIND OF BOOKCASES ARE YOU GOING TO USE?
Ended up with some book cases that Becca didn't need any more. I think they were from Ikea but they didn't go all the way to the ceiling. They are about waist high.
I took the test and it turns out I’m a Butterfly, I evidently have Butterfly traits.
Very cool.
Am catching y’all late today..its a busy busy month for us
I feel you! It’s been crazy here too.
Low watching you!
Thanks for watching!
