Definitely hits hard, telling workers suppression and suffering is over. I recommend you listen to the one in Patagonia Rebelde Long live and remember the Spanish Revolution
I'm a 17 year old student from Spain and I've recently finished my essay on the history of anarchism in my region, Aragón. The CNT was very popular amongst the Aragonese working class, which led into a social revolution within the Civil War. The CNT, after delegate Ángel Pestaña had traveled to see the outcome of the 1917 revolution, decided not to join the Komintern as they thought the USSR was turning into a totalitarian regime, and established libertarian communism as their goal. Years later, they would carry out their revolution in the east half of Aragón. Once the antifascist militia from Catalunya and Aragón were comfortably settled, an administrative entity called Consejo Regional de Defensa de Aragón was founded in October, 1936. The months to follow were not as easy as the beginning. Unable to take Zaragoza from the fascists, handling obsolete weapons and incompatible ammo, the spontaneous militia couldn't carry on their revolution and the republicans needed soldiers, so the POUM and later the CNT agreed to prioritize winning the war. The CDRA was then dissolved in October, 1937, and the militia joined the hierarchized and militarized People's Republican Army. The history of worker's revolutions is fascinating to me, so are these popular anthems that you arrange for piano. I've been listening to you for a bit now and I think it's a great way to resurge these forgotten revolutions of brave idealistic people. ¡Salud, compañero!
Muchas gracias para este historia, compañero. I taught in Andalucia for about eighteen months and read Orwell’s account of the Civil War. God bless the comrades in Spain.
This is amazing! Also you have a really good Spanish pronunciation, if I wasn't paying full attention I'd probably be able to mistake you for a native speaker. As a native Spanish speaker I do have a small notes about the translation and a a small nitpick about your pronunciation. While the literal translation of "salud" is "health", in this context it's meaning goes more along the lines of "cheers!" (the thing you say when you make a toast, basically), so it wouldn't really be "Health, proletarians" but more like "Cheers, proletarians!". Also, the ll in vallas makes a sound that's kinda halfway between an i and a y. But still, those are small nitpick, amazing work!
First Listen: Hmph, it’s pretty good, but I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best. Twentieth Listen: TRABAJADOR, NO MAS SUFRIR . . . EL OPRESOR HA DE SUCUMBIR.
No comprendes nada. No importa su pronunciación o si la canta al revés. Lo que importa es la intención, el espíritu de este compañero. Tienes celos porque vendiste tu alma por un buen salario ¡¡¡ esclavo !!!
