This song couldn't be second. Maybe it's the best in the history of this contest at all. It's more than song, more than masterpiece, it's the human soul singing.
Could really be the best in history
Should be and she is the best performance for demonstrating pain of WWIl pain of lost 27 million people from 1939-1945
She is from Ukrainian Crimea that was again occupied by country aggressor russia in 2014 and taking many lives again.
The song is dedicated to the tragic events of the past, in particular the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people.
Jamal was inspired to write the song by her grandmother Nazilkhan's stories about the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, which she and her five children experienced, and the latest events in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which was annexed by the Russian Federation. For the chorus, the singer took the words of the Crimean Tatar folk song "Ey, güzel Qırım".
Yes it is ! Russia is terrorist state !
Please go deeper. Some songs are not only a performance, but also a meaning...

❤❤❤❤ Great winner!
Please react to Spain 1989 and Portugal 1969
Jamala is Crimean, and her grandparents were diportated by Soviet ( like all Crimean Tatar) from Crimea. Soldiers just came in the middle of the night and took people. A lot of them died in horrible trains with no food or water, while they were deportated for nothing! Some of those who survived came back home after Soviet Union cracked. In 2014, russian soldiers came again to Crimea. Her song is full of pain for the past and the future. Symbols in the effects are roots, her roots, which became a huge tree of life.

I was very pissed when Ukraine won in 2016 but nowadays i kind of understand and I like the song. But in my opinion Australia should have won. I don't remember f you reacted to it, Australia was the runner up and Russia in third place. Both of them worthy entries to react to.
no they shouldn’t have. I don’t care about any message of the song (not ukrainian) but the skill is THERE and the song gives me chills. Very deserved
@@elvin2514 Thank u from Ukraine!🇺🇦
That's the song that won in 2016.
Sergey Lâzarev's song representing Russia "You are the Only One" was the favorite, though. Russia placed 3rd.
