Really nice to see your vlogs, Neil and thank you for doing them and giving honest reviews of places. We are coming up for holiday in three weeks time and can't wait! Especially excited to see the changes to the park from your other video- it looks like they have made it really nice. Is Meanie Bobini's still empty or is something else there now? Thanks again :)
Tonys Is a nice place next door he is reasonable price aswell, also was wondering if you could do a video around ingoldmells market and some of the food outlet around there.
Great and honest review of Fox's, you said it was cheap but small portion is there a choice of a lager portion if preferred also may I make a suggestion regarding reviews of restaurants for the future. For people that have allergies could you just add if and what they cater for for example my wife is a celiac so can not eat Gluten and I can not eat soya so going out for meals can be a bit of a task. On our last visit to Skegness we did try the Atlantic fish bar as it not only caters for normal fish & chips but also celiac as well and it's the best Gluten free and Soya free fish and chips we have ever had and we have tried a number it even beat one in Hastings. Please keep up the great reviews. Keith
I was in hembsy on sunday, it was lovely and sunny there , had a lovely meal in two way cafe, very popular cafe as well , haven't been to skeggy for a few years but fancy going to Butlins this summer , take care Neil xx
Just watching this and for 8.99 you only get small tray of chips. My local chippy you get more chips and cod is slightly bigger and yes mushy peas are into same price.
I used to pay £1.70 for a pie, chips and gravy back in the day! Used to be a lovely Chinese restaurant there too with big fish tanks overlooking the rollercoaster that used to be called the Zyklon I think.
Got to say I thought they looked pretty sad, I think they are busy due to location nothing else. If people were t do a bit of analysis, there are much better places not too far away, it's well worth it I promise.
I use the chippie next door nearest the club try the village Chippy in chapel opposite the Vine cash only mini fish chips and curry and a cup of tea sit in.
It's scandalous what they are going to do with the boating lake. There's enough caravan site's and that boating lake holds great memories for me and our family and thousands of other families. SHOCKING 😢😢
Just realised we didn't have the peas Neil that's why they are £5.99 ,we just had medium fish and chips lol 😆 really enjoyed them though. You can sit in or out tell the viewer 😊
Hi Neil..not wishing to sound disrespectful towards your channel or Skegness but I'm fascinated as to why people go back to the same resort year after year...What draws you to Skegness , never been so can't comment...by the way enjoyed watching your channel...all the best
Generations of families have been going back from the 30s and 40s and still going till the present day there’s just something about Skegness that attracts the holiday makers back and even some of the holiday makers retire and live in Skegness. There’s loads to do in Skegness beach is a clean, loads of places visit down the coast including Ingoldmells which has one of the largest amusement parks in the country that is free to enter not like places like great Yarmouth and Blackpool where there is an admission fee into the park. There’s also a giant outdoor market at fantasy Island where the amusement park is but if you just want to go and visit places down the coast there are some lovely quiet places to see and visit which are beautiful beaches along the Lincolnshire coast, maybe one day you will make that decision and book a holiday in Skegness and I really do hope you enjoy it and you will definitely see why people go back after the year with their families and friends. Have a great summer NeilR
Hello Martin, I hope you don't mind me replying here. I am one of those that comes back year after year ( we do go as a family to other seaside places also but always come to Skegness once a year for a week at least). For me, the thing with Skegness is that it always has such a welcoming atmosphere. The locals are always friendly and helpful and there are plenty of things to do with a good variety of places to eat and shop so you will definitely find something for all the family. My family have been coming here since the days of my great grandmother and now I am a parent myself, I bring my children too- we have made so many amazing memories here. There is a little bit of nostalgia too. Skegness is a curious mix of modern and yet has an almost innocent charm from the 70's and 80's still. Also, the businesses keep their prices fair, I find, and you never feel ripped off with unfairly high prices. Love it! 😁
I went to Salts based on a recommendation and it was awful. Soggy, tasteless fish, very average chips and the person serving us was very grumpy. I'm not sure what the hype is about.
It hasn't changed hands, it's the same owner. Just revamped the front with new signs, changing them to get rid of the Harry Ramsbottom rep.
Was going to but the fear of them replacing it with another stopped me
Haddock chips and peas for 6.99 is a bargain,I thought for the money it was great!
It used to be called Harry Ramsbottoms. I met my husband in Skegness 20 years ago. We love your vlogs and keep them coming 😊

The medium fish and chips was £4.99 in April, then my husband walked past last week and it was £5.99 . So looks like the prices have gone up Neil 😢
Hey Neil do you know what's happening with the boating lake at ingoldmells, we had a walk to Chapel in May and it was all gated up.
Hi most of it is being filled in, and it’s been taken over by one of the big caravan parks, not sure which one 🙁
Laver has bought the boating lake and they are going to put static caravans on the fields at the side 😊
Thankyou
It's scandalous what they are going to do with the boating lake. There's enough caravan site's and that boating lake holds great memories for me and our family and thousands of other families. SHOCKING 😢😢

Yes, mostly go there when we need to takeaway back to the van, really good, I will have to do a review one day 👍
@@neilrgreatestadventuresWhere’s your van, Neil? We had one on Southview but sold it.

You can ask for separate peas, they put them in a pot
@@pintabitter68able I bet they would if you ask 👍
Tony's next door is the best in Skegness!!!!
I know Tony ! Great chippie , I used to live 500 yards away on Rutland Rd ...Perfect !
Miss strikes, fat Louie's and the beach bar
Just my opinion but think there an average chippy at best, nice vid as always Neil
Thank you 🙏
Techno, Epidemics, Inflation have caught up with us now. I estimate we are now paying around average 50% more than 2021.
