Hi. I've ordered a waterproof enclosure and some LiquidTite for my new MicroAir soft start and will need to extend the wires as well. Did you use 10awg to extend all four wires? Thanks.

No, I used the same gauge as what was supplied with the Microair easy start.
      Which was:
10 AWG THHN stranded wire (2 different colors)
14 AWG THHN stranded wire (2 different colors).
The complete list of parts I used, is listed at the end of the video. As well as in the description below.
      Thanks for watching.

Quick question I just ordered the same generator but the 20000 watts version. These Generators are neutral bonded to the frame Did you un bonded your generator or just left it bonded? If so, can you show a video on how you did it. Love your generator videos

WOW, very nice, make sure you have some friends (PLURAL) to help move that beast it will be heavy, heavy, heavy like, 550 lbs heavy.
Yes, to answer your question. Since I am only use my generator when it is CONNECTED to my breaker panel via power inlet. I converted the generator from BONDED neutral to a FLOATING neutral, by removing the bonded jumper wire. If you are only running it with a bunch of extension cords and not connecting to your breaker panel, then you should leave it bonded.
NOTE, if you do decide to unbond the generator, make sure to mark your generator with some high visibility tape noting "FLOATING NEUTRAL" in a couple spots.
Wgen12000df and Wgen20000 wiring are different.
It's super super super simple to convert the bonded neutral to floating neutral on the Westinghouse generator. Takes all of 2 minutes. All you do is remove the blue round alternator cover. So on your generator, if you are facing the control board, the round cover is on the left side of the generator. Once you remove the cover, you should see a WHITE jumper wire. One end will be connected to the ground terminal, which I believe on the left side. Then the other end will be connected to a terminal on the right side. Simply, remove the white bonded jumper wire from the ground bolt and unmarked terminal connection. Reinstall the bolts and tighten securely. Save the white jumper wire, incase you ever decide to bond the generator back to factory standards.
Hope this helps. make sure to give me a like and subscribe. If you have anymore question(s), hit me up and i will try and help if I can. Thanks.

@@patrickcoleman5867 Anytime. BTW I forgot to mention if, you run into any issues. The conversion from bonded to floating will be in the owners manual. it will be in the first couples pages of the operation section of the manual.

How many times have you had to use the gen set up has this generator had any problems is it still running well? Do you ever run it on gasoline or just always natural gas?great videos btw

As far as using the generator for complete power outage. I had to use it most recently for a 10 hour outage, we had last fall around October, using natural gas 100%. Worked flawlessly, no issues, no hiccups.
In fact the 10 hour outage, was the reason behind part 11 of the video series, so my family would have a step by step. To be able to hookup, setup, and use the generator, in case I wasn't around.
I generally run it on gasoline, when I pull the generator out to ensure it still runs every month to month and a half. Since I keep my generator in my garage, when not in use. Simply easier to roll out the generator to the driveway and use gasoline. Instead of having to roll back to the other side of the house where I have my shed and natural gas hookup. Not the easiest or lightest generator (350 lbs) to roll around, especially on grass.
Thanks, glad you like the videos. Make sure to hit like button and subscribe. If you have anymore question, just ask. I'll try and help if I can.

Awesome that they decided to extend the harness for the newer easy start kit. The harness on both of my easy start are only about 28" long
