- A world-premiere performance of "Robert Burns The Musical" at Aberdeen’s Tivoli on Burns night 25th January 2015 received a rapturous 10 minute standing ovation
The brainchild of Tish Tindall, from the Rock Academy in Lossiemouth, and Hollywood producer David Gest, this brand-new musical will bring the story of the man behind the poetry to a new generation.
We follow the exploits of a 21st-century Robert, who loses his way when fame brings the slings and arrows of “celebrity status”. Everyday trials (“bush tucker” included) and tribulations leave Robert constantly in the spotlight and constantly judged. Weathered by the crippling elements of social-media exposure, the people’s poet is left with no choice. He has to look to his past to see the way forward.
Robert Burns the Musical is hilarious, harrowing and heart-warming.
A truly amazing musical that needs to be witnessed. Not only does it take you on a roller coaster of emotions, but it brings Robert Burns to the 21st century. It is such a privilege and honour to be apart of such an amazing Musical.

I was lucky enough to be at the premier on January 25th and must say the twist in having the show set in the present day is pure genius as it allowed an Englishman like myself to understand what Robert Burns was all about. I'm looking forward to seeing this show on tour.

This is spell binding and yes, I 100% agree with Scott's comment - more, more, more, more - The trailer is simply tantalising and having been at the World Premiere at The Tivoli Theatre I want to know when I can go see this again - For anyone wondering.........this show is NOT to be missed!

"Robert Burns the Musical" - Music and lyrics by Tish Tindall, not what you'd expect from a musical about Robert Burns, and the trailer looks more like a dance show instead of a musical.
Hi Kristina,.The footage was taken from the show premier but we weren't happy with the sound quality...we are about to make a cast recording of the show which we will add to the video or make a new video. thanks for your comments..
