Legend, really? That word is thrown about far too easily these days and that is said with nothing against Mick Theo personally. I was into weight training as a kid and used to buy Bodybuilding Monthly magazine because it featured more UK bodybuilders than American ones, which being from south east London myself, I could identify with more. I even followed an abbreviated routine once that Mick Theo did when the magazine listed his training workout when doing an article on him. The only other thing I remember about him from the magazine and that era was when he walked off stage, throwing his trophy away after he was presented with it because he did not win. I did know about him working the doors and the Lenny McClean connection and had heard the broken ribs story too. Then when his name first reappeared a few years back regarding fighting John Fury, everyone seemed to be calling him Micky rather than Mick and I was not sure at first if it was the same bloke, because I had not heard anything about him for decades and it sounded strange to me like suddenly saying Micky Fleetwood, Micky Hucknall or Micky Jagger.
