For a male celeb, this Rumba was amazing and underscored. I've not enjoyed a male Rumba since Kelvin's and even his first attempt was not fully fluid. Nigel kept moving throughout the dance, his hip action could've been a little more emphasised at some points but he executed Katya's beautiful choreography so well. I especially loved the fast and slow moments, and the storytelling was gorgeous. I really think this deserved 9s across the board and hope they get through to next week!
They were the best couple! They adored each other and their dances!! Every week there was passion. Never have a couple been done out of a final and a winning place!! Because let’s face it they would have got the public vote.

Brings me to tears when watching this, knowing now that this was his final dance on Strictly. I know for a fact that he would have made it to the final, and even had a fair chance of winning. Nigel and Katya are the most remarkable couple to ever grace the Strictly floor. In a way, I’m glad that out of all the dances Nigel ever performed, I’m glad that it was this one that was his final dance. It feels like a goodbye in its own way, and I can’t thank Mr Harman enough for agreeing to do this show.
My favourite dancer of the season. I do not understand the judges. He is very artistic and elegant. I do hope that the public will keep him in the competition. I was expecting a 10. I was wrong😢

Score - *8/10* Nigel is an excellent solo dancer and this shows, the storytelling was beautiful and some of the steps were really interesting and new, good hip action and pivots. I just feel that compared to the others he isn't blowing me away and there could have been more proper Rumba but for a male Rumba it was excellent and a really solid strong dance. I thought it was probably his best dance joint with the Couple's choice emotionally, but I still want to see him push his technique. If it was down to him and Annabel, I would have to save her because I just don't think compared to her and the rest actually that Nigel has improved that much.
I want Nigel to be in the final ❤ He dances so masculine and manly ... Many men dance feeling weird and hardly find themselves through the dance but Nigel does it so manly .. and he is definitely a leading man .. as we know leading katya is so hard
The judges/producers don't want Katya to have a second win. They realize that Nigel's popularity plus Katya's outstanding choreography might ruin their plan to give victory to one of the other couples. Most probably, they will attempt to eliminate Nigel and Katya before the final two compete for the prize (don't ask me how one can manipulate the scores to achieve it: all you need to know is some math and the public voting trends).

I think Nigel was meant to get to the final though. Bobby’s show dance was meant for Nigel because all the elements in it were about him
(1) The wardrobe department person who covered Katya's amazing body in rags should be fired. Same with Nigel's shirt: they should have used transparent fabric. Don't they understand that in Rumba every body curve does the talking? (2) It is a stunning number that deserves to be performed in proper clothing. I would love to see it again! Nigel and Katya are magnetic.
A very solid attempt at a very difficult Rumba. Nigel's arms are exquisite and they really help his story telling. What was lacking was a little bit of fluidity in the hips and in between steps which requires incredible precise control making Rumba so difficult for leading celebs. It takes months, not days to master. 8
OMG this was my top choice of the night (ok after Ellie/Vito lol). These two got really into it, you could feel the "love" them, such an atmosphere. Have a good day reader :)
This was a very difficult dance, performed beautifully! As was said, the rhumba is not a dance in which it is easy for the man to shine, because most of the movement is often performed by the woman and he supports her. However, Nigel definitely drew the eye here and he deserves all credit for that. I cannot understand why the judges are so consistently hard on him and give him such low scores!
Excellent performance considering how difficult this dance is for the male celeb, Katya is amazing of course and I'm not jumping on the bandwagon here but given the positive comments the dance received from the judges, it was worth two more 9's I feel ( Craig never seems to give them more than an 8!)
Beautiful! Loved the routine. The elegance and beauty they had are pure perfection! But it lacked a bit of the rotation. But all in all I thought it was lovely! I really love Nigel, he puts the hours into his efforts and he appreciates Katya’s training! I love this! Partnership is beautiful
Nigel undermarked for a difficult dance. I felt the strong hand of production last night steering the leaderboard. They want Annabel in the Final with Layton and Ellie.
I enjoyed the dance itself, their chemistry and partnership together is brilliant and really shows, but I really wish they'd kept the music scaled back. You never have a rumba with someone full on belting a song, it was a bit weird...

our scores: me: 8 diya: 8 kelsey: 8 owen: 8 32/40 he did a brilliant job of a difficult dance. however there was nearly no hip action, his free arm was dead throughout and there was an illegal lift that the judges just decided not to mention. all of that being said, these two are definitely the best when it comes to storytelling, the message is always clear as day. still waiting for his american smooth, charleston and argentine tango as those will be incredible.

Nigel’s dances are continuously under-marked and I am getting really annoyed by it. He is such a phenomenal dancer yet the judges mark him low every time. Keep your head up Nigel and carry on being awesome!!
The dance was splendid, but this cover of All Coming Back To Me Now didn't have anything special in comparison to the original by Céline Dion or the Meat Loaf versions.

I felt this dance was over done in the dramatics department, if you want to see how to dance a rumba take a page out of Ellie's book. I think Nigel is real one and he is trying but for me the emotion, the dance it just didn't click, and the hole thing felt a bit wishy washy.
Rumba w only R in it but no rumba at all. If it was not in title, Id hardly could guess it was rumba! Did not engage me at all, sadly. It was not seductive but melancholic.
I don't think you realise how hard this song is to sing. He didn't lower the key, he sang it as it's meant to be sang but that 'baby, baby, baby' bit of the song is so hard for any male to reach. He did amazing!!!

He's improved so much. Probably one of his best dances from Paso and Salsa. Katya's amazn choreography never let's me down. 9/10
