One time my older brother (was 23 at the time) took me (was 11 at the time) to get ice cream and I didn’t want to because my parents weren’t going and I’d have to order for myself and it scared me, but now I realize that was one of the best moments of my life.

Jail is basically a college dorm with no rent and free food
A college dorm with no women and crazy "mind your own business" decorum - it really depends, if I were working I'd rather homeless but if I were really having trouble eating, ouch. If I were really having trouble getting educated I might even think about prison (depending on how education inside work)

Our brains are meant to keep us alive, not happy. That’s why we tend to remember the negative more than positive, because we learn more from the negative. But that’s not an excuse to succumb to the negativity, rather another reason to take it more seriously, move on in life and keep learning from your mistakes.

@thomassalas5191 Think of it. In Jail you have a place to sleep, you get free food and drinks, you are safe from being attacked, you can even go to the gym. Just imagine what it's like being homeless during winter

Having been in jail and homeless I can unequivocally say I would rather be free and not know where my next meal is coming from than be locked away with three guaranteed meals and all my basic needs provided to me by the state.

Ye, technically no one has to be homeless or go hungry or go without medical care. If you commit a crime, you get sent to jail where they will house, feed, and doctor you.
I've been homeless and in jail. Neither is pleasant, but in jail, you're out of severe weather and have food. You can not get frost bite in jail.

Those who say "Jail, I've been homeless in the winter" don't seem to understand Homeless is homeless which implies you dont have to stay where its cold, if you're going to be homeless then go where its warmer and be homeless.
