- Instead of renting a motorcycle to explore the nearby areas including the stunning tea plantations in Nuwara Eliya, I took the bus and hiked to the top. But things went wrong, cause I got a heavy sunburn later. And also the peak of the tea plantations was not as spectacular as the lower areas. I also checked out a buddhist temple that was still under construction and I had delicious Indian food.

hey carlos, even tho sri lanka doesnt have dustbins , 90% of sri lankan cities and roads are super clean, bcz sri lankans carry their garbage to their homes , its how sri lankan kids taught in schools,
so please instead of complaining ,just embrace the culture, dont throw rubbish on our roads like you did , please,
I ask whats the need of a garbage bin to a place where people doesnt throw garbage, Im sorry if I behaved rude, but I have anger issues when people(local/tourists)dispose garbage like that , especially !ndian tourists

This is a problem that we have created a generation of non thinking entitled babies of adult age who believe the government is responsible for everything and who take no responsibility for their own actions . Well maybe I am over reacting but when you travel to a third world country with annual income of around 1000 $ then trying to provide enough food to eat and a safe place to sleep for you and your children it may not be in their ability to provide your wealthy tourist youtube persona with a convenient garbage can ,,,get it ??

Tea plantations ok, tens of statues in line not explained, cemetery - abandoned building - quite temple - not enough rubbish bin - I think you need to hunt more local food as usual - well nice video actually 😄 .

This is not fault of those kids.lots of local and foreign hikers gives money and small things for villagers .that is bad attitude .so they expected from others too. Becareful while visiting wild elephants lot of lacals feed them with fruits .as ahabit they expect some food from visitors .some elephants violently attack vihicles and safari jeep for expecting food.
You’ve visited some people who are very poor like the girls you met who asked for biscuits. Nuwaraeliya tea plantation labourers are the poorest in Sri Lanka. When you go on budget in poor countries holidays can be harsh. I will never recommend budget travels in Sri Lanka. If you want a decent holiday be willing to pay for it.

You may not know about this cultural habits because you are a foreigner!
