I just think it’s so amusing how many times these kids have been interrogated about murder and no one was like “we need to shut this school down something isn’t right”
Well I think you forgot that they mention that almost all the kids in this school come from powerful families and they wouldn’t want to ruin their reputation
Definitely think this season was better then the last two but it puts a very sour taste in my mouth when they write main characters off the show with little to no explanation as to where they went. (Rebe, Phillipe, Omar etc) I’m interested to see how they’re going to explain Omar’s absence this season when he returns for season 7
I just really miss Carla, Lu and Ander.. 😭, Issadora is okay ig, I wish we could've followed the og cast's story into college and maybe even working life (gossip girl style).
I agree with a lot of your opinions. Nobody brings up that Cruz was really problematic as he was literally pining over an underage character. And the show just killed him off... so you can't even talk about how messed up that was. No matter if he was in the closet or out, no one should be able to have s*xual relations with a minor and face no consequences for that. Its as if being a p*do is okay in this show...
Season 3 was the realest and the links between the characters were great. Every other season has just been 30 different ‘main’ storylines. Whereas season 3 was one main storyline and they built the character storylines around the mystery
The best way for them to end Elite is by making every student of Las Encinas graduate in season 7 , and when all that ends they could make a perfect season 8 which will be set between season 5 and season 6 centred to Samuel death . That way all the OG character will come back for the finale season.
For me season 3 was where it's at. It's where the characters went from badly drawn caricatures to real people that you can root for despite their misbehaviour (Lu for example) Kudos for your review, I'll take your word for it and skip this season
And can we talk about how illogical was the scene where Raul sneaked into Isadora's room just to find a drug for Mencia and stone her? 1st of all, how did he get into that room, with all the cameras, etc. 2nd, why did he do that and 3rd how did he know which is the drug??? He didn't even have an actual plan. Just stone her and let her go, no motivation, whatsoever. It didn't make any sense, it was just used as a convinience for the "mystery". It would make much more sense if he was planning to rape her, for example. Then, Sara driving a drunk girl just to help her, without having a licence? How exactly are you going to help her? A of this could be fixed by calling her an uber. So unconvincing and badly written.
My biggest problem with seasons 4-6 is that a storylines feels so separate between characters, like the nicos or bella or even Isabelle’s etc. stories had nothing to do with Ivan in the first place, everyone was busy doing their stuff and then at the end someone randomly dies on accident. Also want to mention that even though Netflix advertised this seasons with a lot of sex motives, I think this season had the least sex scenes among all of the previous seasons, I find it kinda funny tbh. P.S. : before even season 6 aired they announced the cast for season 7 and they are bringing back Omar(pls let my boy leave in peace) I already feel how bad it’s gonna be and how are they gonna introduce him in the school environment, he probably should have graduated like years ago. What’s are your thoughts on season 7?
No storyline from season 6 is actually finished: Mencia thinks she's the culprit, Benjamin has gotten away with murder and taking them somewhere remote, Sara goes back to Raul, Nico is going to get his surgery, Isadora and Didac... something, and Ivan wakes up, probably all confused. As others pointed out, the producers were doing so many things, just pushing it in there, that you can't wrap up the season. Tbh, I would much rather have season 7 cancelled. Let the dead rest in peace. But an all-star season 7, with Omar, Rebe, Guzman, Ander and Carla returning because of Samuel's death, and Ivan tracking down Patrick, and the 2 generations working together for very different goals: revenge vs forgiveness. This would have been a fitting end
Ivan was the victim, but we don't even know the character yet. Season 6 is over and we don't know anything about him. Unfortunately, we don't know his past history with his father and why he has no family present. We don't know anything about him. What we do know is only that he was the son of the Cruz a soccer player gay and rich. How do we sympathize with a character we don't know? They preferred to focus on the new characters that randomly appeared on the show and got lost in the plot.
The thing that bothered me this season was the change of tone and themes. If I wanted to watch 13 Reasons Why, I would have put on 13 Reasons Why. Élite used to be this utopian liberal universe in Madrid where there was drama, drugs, scandal, crimes and scheming, but nobody was an asshole to others based on their sexual orientation. This season, the rape and revenge plot already seemed out of place, but the plotline with Cruz and the neo-nazi football hooligans was the last straw. Sure, it could have been social commentary on the toxicity of the football world but I just don't think it has a place in a semi-serious teen murder mystery show where we are supposed to find out that the bisexual polyamorous guy bashed the hippie girl in the head with a trophy. Next to that, radical fascist football fans kicking a guy to death on the streets just seems way too real, in terms of tonality.
What about Elodie and what about CAYETANA, who was assaulted by the same disgusting guy? We do see her get her happily ever after, which was nice, but she never got justice for what Phillipe did to her. Sigh. Anyway, I definitely liked s6 better than s4 and 5 (yay friendships!), and I agree with you that Ari made so much more sense this season. Of course now that I'm getting used to her and Mencia, they are off the show. And you're so right: Elite almost always sends characters off before we see them deal with the consequences of their action: Lu, Guzman and now Mencia. Watching Polo deal with what he did and seeing him crumble under that was one of the best storylines in s2 IMO, so I don't understand why they decided to never do it again. I think if you look at s6 as independent of the OG Elite, it's fine. I kind of enjoyed it, especially after the total disasters of s4 and 5. But of course it cannot hold up to the show's first three seasons.
exactly!! watching polo break down with guilt and second-guessing his choices while cayetana manipulated him was such good writing, it's so sad the showmakers didn't want to do it again
he never actually DID anything to her, there was an attempt, but yeah, it's kinda dissapointing to see him not facing any consequences. but after all, wasn't that the point of the show? rich people can get away with everything and it hurts other people
I didn't like how they randomly added the blogger girl her bf and the trans guy like their storylines were to uneventful and boring. they felt so forced like they didn't have any other characters to give time to. Ivan and Patricks relationship had so much potential and was a solid story line in season 5 what was the writters obsession with Patrick always getting with his dad like it was 4 times. and then Ivan starting a orgy house like whattt that's so out of pocket considering last season he barely felt comfortable even kissing Patrick. mencia didn't really have her own storyline this season. they never gave her and her ex a good send off considering she saved her from sex trafficking. and so Guzman and ander dropped out of school to travel? for like 2 years straight. they have a really good few plot lines every season and then completely butcher it. Ivan is the character done the most dirty other than Samuel. like his bf sleeping with his dad multiple times, dad dying, starts a orgy drug house, hit by car, and never gets to say goodbye to Patrick.
the hated this season so much because of how dirty the writers did the black girl. as a black woman myself it was so hard to watch like i wanted to pull my hair out😭. it blatantly shows balal’s (idk ho wto spell his name) distain for the black girl (can’t remember her name). it’s embarrassing to watch because you see him fawning over Ari and the other white girls in the show, but then you see the black girl chasing and thrusting after him. it’s so painful and embarrassing to watch because she is treated like an option by him when she’s a very pretty girl. the only reason he isn’t interested in her is because she’s black 🧍🏾♀️. but you see him chasing after the white girls on the show. this was hard to watch because this is something that happens so much in real life i see it all the time with my black peers. the dynamics between black joys and girls is so odd, and i hate that it was included in the show .
The black girl is Only black when it suits her. They have nothing in common. She's privileged and uses African roots as her main personality. He doesn't like "woke" women. The other girls own who they are.
@@Jeremy-wp4yh. Ari is literally an alcoholic and used Balal 🧍🏾♀️. i would actually say the opposite is true balal is only black when it suits him or when he has to be. i also feel like she tries to connect with her african roots because she’s in a place with no other black people which is why she tried to connect sm with balal. balal clearly doesn’t like black women 🧍🏾♀️. like yes the black girl has issues but she’s probably one of the most mentally stable out of the friend group 😭. and yet he still wanted Ari an alcoholic who’s dad is in prison for murder. let’s just call it what it is he doesn’t like black women. which is fine but i hate that it was protracted on a show for the whole world to see it’s embarrassing really. and black people are the only ones with this problem tbh .
@@sadebraimah5962 ari's messed up life is irrelevant to the story. This girl meets a black man and starts speaking about Ubuntu and Africa as if she understands the cultures and assumes all black people have the same origin. Then she was intimidated by his family because she realized how privileged she was and her background was nothing like the typical "African" roots she was aspiring to. I would say she's close minded or has an identity crisis.
Yes! Then he comes to her place and enjoys the benefits of being near her money and accepts an expensive gift from her despite but being into her, even the other guy he works with side eyes him for this. I guess the writers were influenced by real life examples of what they see online; a poor BM using a BW for financial benefits while having preferences for non bw. I'd rather them not feature any BW if this is the storyline they'll be subjected to smh
@@Jeremy-wp4yh. oh she most definitely has an identity crisis fs 😭. but that doesn’t excuse the way balal treats her, especially when you see how he treats the other girls on the show. which is relevant. it basically shows how he treats her vs the other which we see okay out in the real world to say it’s not relevant is dumb imo.
I was really disappointed with this season, it had so many flaws which just amplified each other. First, as mentioned in the video, the “mystery” was only an accident without a possible build-up in the episodes before; this leads to a lack of cohesion between the episodes and the character arcs with almost no impact on each other or the outcome of the mystery, shame in a show with a who-did-it formula. Second, too many and severe issues to have to deal with; just a “little” list here: mourning of the boyfriend killed by your father, rape, not acknowledging you as a rape victim, victimisation of rapists, domestic violence, mental/physical abuse, forced? coming out, extreme homophobia / hate crime up to fatality, mourning your father killed in a hate crime, blame, revenge, racism, elitism, teen alcoholism, drugs/drugging, abortion, cheating, toxicity; and topics like transgender relationship, hooking up with your boyfriends father, orgies, trust, social media exposure and more. I really appreciate the idea to try to bring so many to the table, but it is content worth for 8 seasons not for 8 episodes and this leads to a shortcoming in handling of most of the topics and creates so much drama that there are practically no happy moments for the characters and the viewers. Third, again as explained in the video, lack of conclusion/closure/consequence, this is particularly affected by the previous point, the more issues the less time to wrap them up. It is further worsened by the knowledge which actors leave the show, knowing for sure there will be no or minimal (one line) wrap up for their respective plots. Fourth, cranking up on the homophobia. The show pictured gays as equals in the previous seasons and I found it very progressive. The change of tone in Season 6 was very disturbing, especially the rapid progression into a homicide with the almost complete lack of setting it in the right context. And ultimately at the end of the season two gay kids leave and the third one is in a coma, feels more like a purge then drama. There are elements that worked well: the arc of Isadora corrects the stain of Philips from the 5th season, visually the show is still an eye candy (all these gorgeous dresses even at a funeral), music is still good (although Patrick´s psychedelic party from season 5 cannot be topped, you can hate me for it), some interresting new cast members. So my final thought, Elite is unfortunatly declining, and the most saddening thing is that it is the result of trying too hard to push all the dramatic issues without a breather or a funny moment, instead of creating a strong main story where all the subplots could wrap around and leave major topics for future seasons to explore. They had the chance with the big cast change at Season 4 to begin a new three season arc era and I hoped that Season 6 will be the cumulation of it, but they clearly headed in a different direction (or missed the mark completely) and the shows format without a constant theme just does not support it and falls apart into short stories.
I do feel as though season 6 was better than 4 & 5 but it’s not reaching what it was in the first 3 seasons. I’m hoping that 1 day it returns to it’s former glory because the potential is there
They handled the Isadora storyline well enough, but it was very graphic with both sexual assault and a gay bashing and I found it triggering. I agree ELITÉ devolved into a basic drama for the sake of nonsensical drama telenovela. Ari was better fleshed out with her characterization and the shark or dolphin metaphor. They literally pose the question of "if you can't forgive your r4pist friend what do you suggest?? He sucidar himself?"
Season 6 felt more rushed I feel like it’s purpose was to just knock out the old characters from season 4 and 5 like how they killed off Cruz it happened so days and how they ended things with Ivan and Patrick they built up a big relationship in the last seasons with them jsut to end it the way it ended this season
They made Sara hit Ivan so they could justify her presence in the next season. I thought about it and the only relationship she has with other character are beyond shallow, Mencia is her only friend and I can wait how it will be all discovered next season
This season was fine, definitly not the worst. BUT i totally didn't connect the dots between the benjamin kids going away with their dad and the actors atcually leaving the show omg there was stil so much to do with Ari's plotlines, and Mencia-Sara-Raul plotline (i was hoping for a fake friendship while they hide the fact that THEY framed her ??) and idk i guess they could've done anything with Patrick-Ivan/Benjamin I can't imgine what season 7 is gonna be without them, they felt lke the last string of familiarity from the original cast/show and now they're gone too...
When you watch it a second time - and you know all that it's about to destroy - you approach it with an open mind and understand the characters better. Ivan's downfall is the biggest since Marina's for sure. But how he acts this season ruins a lot, and then you have Ari, a character who on the first watch I thought could not possibly exist anywhere in the universe. Her alcohol addiction is portrayed on screen, but was that really necessary? Did Iván and Patrick need to be done like that? These are the questions haunting me. Mencia was supposed to be the driver but oh snap! last minute plot twist and it seems to not be the case. You start something, have the balls to deliver and damn what a dynamic would that have set up between her and her brother
I know that it's probably because the actors want to leave, but it's such whiplash when the main characters (the siblings) just leave the show in the final episode while nothing in the season has built up to it lol. Also, I know people don't like Ari, Patrick and Mencia, but I'm sad to see them go, the new characters are pretty bland
They gave us the best love story in season 5 then totally destroyed it in season 6. Why are they always killing relationships? Patrick and Ivan love each other and should be together. But not as far as the producers want.
@@luka7678 he's 17,everybody experiments and if you were paying attention he told his dad Patrick was the one but Ari drove him crazy and he didn't know why. And Cruz told Patrick he was fed up with him running to him every time his son hurts him as it was Ivan Patrick is in love with. First word Ivan says when he comes round at the end of the season is Patrick!
@@paulbale3872 does it still justifies that they are keeping everything in family? Its more of an obsession than love. If you are able to cheat on your boyfriend with his sister/father thats probably worst type of cheating and no matter the reasoning its not just. But we all have different meanings on what love is.
Well Elite basically did that to every popular romantic pairing that they've created. Sadly no couple was allowed to be in a health, happy relationship for too long and if they were which was a rarity, then they were written off pretty quickly as is the case with Cateyana. Alias it seems that Patrick and Ivan won't get a happy ending due to Patrick having left with his family.
They begged so hard for us to stay invested. There was no build up so why should I care? It could be anything even a plot which will appear in season 7
After season 5 I was done with Elite. But then I watched the first 2 minutes of this video and decided to give it another chance, and I'm really happy I did. No, it wasn't perfect but it was entertaining, bingeable and enjoyable
I genuinely really enjoyed season 6. If I had to rank all seasons this is how I would rank them 2>1>3>6>5>/=4 Season 2 was perfect. Season 1 was perfect but I only rank it slightly lower then s2 because there is no Valerio, Cayetana and Rebeka. Season 3 was awesome and great aswell and the flashforwards on who might of killed polo really made you confused and curious. Season 4 was not that bad but obviously no OG’s so thats already a downside. Ari Mencia and Patrick were just there to have sex and fuck things up. Mystery had great tension and good build up but the revelation was disappointing. Season 5 was Mid because I started to like a couple of things a bit more and Ivan and Isadora were decent additions. The mystery was actually somewhat good. Still had many problems in which the biggest one for me was killing Samuel cause now If i restart watching Elite from season 1 it feels really weird knowing that the “protagonist” is going to die. Season 6 was really enjoyable and entertaining for me. The mystery itself was nothing special but plot twist caught me off guard. Characters were really good and the ending with Ari Mencia and Patrick leaving + the shooting scene was all around good. Im actually sad that Ari Mencia and Patrick are leaving since I started to appreciate them and like them alot this season. I believe if season 7 will be just like this but better Elite might make a small comeback obviously without the OG’s and Ari mencia and Patrick(cant believe i Just mentioned those 3) It may feel a bit dull at first. Great Review!😁
The one thing that is most bothering me is the fact none of the og characters is still around I'm all in for new characters but like, couldn't they have kept at least one of them? xD It's like a completely new show I of course have my thoughts on the plots of each season and about the characters (like, why does Ari have to be all about alcohol and sex? She's obviously got more than that to her) but I am enjoying the show overall I really like Ivan as he seems like such a sane character compared to all others xD Although I feel like he kinda lost it during the season I also like how Mencia became more hmm mature(?) or rather free now I feel like Patrick deserves to be happy and be with Ivan I'm happy things have gone well with Isadora and that the rapers are gone I'm mostly missing Rebe :( I loved her character so much and I honestly don't even know where she went
IMO, the injustice part that you’ve said is intentionally written to show that sometimes, rich and wealthy people don’t get arrested just because they have a lot of money and power. It’s one of the main thing this series tryna tell us.
Also is no one gonna mention how an adult and parent (Cruz) was having an affair with a minor (Patrick), and and then later, after he was caught out for kissing him - instead of questioning his morals for kissing a literal teenager, the writers chose to go down the route of - lets prosecute him for his sexuality instead. How did anyone allow a grown ass man to get away with this?
Isadora is probably the only interesting character left now. I'm annoyed with Patrick and Ivan's dynamic. Mancia was great but she's out now. Cruz was interesting too but he's dead now. Ari was always annoying. I don't really care about any of the others, can't even remember any other important characters.
Cruz is my favorite of the remaining newer characters, so I was done after episode 4. Your 15 minute recap of what I missed let me know that pressing stop was a good decision. I'll be back to see what happens with Omar next season, but I now look more forward to these recaps than the actual show 🤷🏿♂️
The groomer who hooked up with his son's underage friend is your fave character in the sense that you found them to be complex and interesting or that you were rooting for them lol???
@@sofiapicasso1915 there is a difference between an inappropriate relationship involving one party who was too young to consent & what we saw on screen; soap operas have long shown relationships where a heartbroken ex sleeps with (insert relative of their ex) here to get needed sexual healing; I think Elite stuck to that script & it got a plus for making Cruz man enough to step back and give his son a shot at love; in addition, he decided to be an out, proud, football player. His characterization only improved with time.
I'd rather watch a drama about the teachers and school governors trying to deal with all the endless wacky hijinks and incidents that keep happening under their watch.
I liked this season. It definitely had its flaws but compared to seasons 4 & 5 it was much more enjoyable. I do feel like the plot lines with the siblings could've lasted 1 more season, ESPECIALLY because Mencia thought she had hit Ivan with her car. And I do wish they would've kept Ari with Iváns baby just for the drama of him and Patrick not knowing. I felt like that wouldve been way more interesting to watch play out than them just leaving and wiping their hands with it all🙄.
In many ways, Elite is a byproduct of a problem that has plagued the daytime soaps which are essentially its grandparent. For many years, daytime shows in general and General Hospital in particular, have thrived on storylines in which their most popular characters do terrible, awful things - up to and including murder. But of course, because the characters are popular, the shows don't necessarily want to see them punished (ie sent to jail or killed off). So instead, they get away with their bad behaviors and we're told they feel guilty about them. At times, the logic is mindbending. General Hospital's Sonny Corinthos -- arguable the star of the show - is a mobster. But he's a GOOD mobster (to the point that we don't actually know what illegal business he partakes in). Ava Jerome is a former mobster who has committed murder yet paid no actual price for her crimes. Years earlier, One Life to Live created the character of Todd Manning. At one point, he took part in a literal gang rape and yet because the actor became popular, Todd went on to become one of the most popular long-running characters on the show. As for this season of Elite, I found it better than the last few. In some ways, it feels as if the "mystery" was sort of an afterthought, with the show leaning more into full-blown teen soap. And I'm okay with that. Season one was so perfect that it would be almost impossible to recapture... you're complete right ins aying it's borderline ludicrous that these kids are involved in a new murder every season, which is why I give the show props for trying a different sort of mystery this season. I like when a show reinvents itself. For example, season 4 of You - which I'm currently watching -- has turned its format upside down. Instead of being about the latest person whom our antihero Joe falls tragically in love with, he finds himself trying to solve a murder someone ELSE committed.
I get why people like season 2, but I barely remember it, other than the "mystery" flashbacks and stuff were awful that season as well. Only the 1st and 3rd season did it well.
I think she should be the new lead character going forward. I finally understand why she is way she is. She sounded really bitchy at the beginning of season 5 and she had a bitter rivalry with Cayetana over Phillipe, but her character was fleshed out excellently by season 6. I do wish Rebe, Ander, Guzman, Lulu and Patrick come back. I wonder what the writers have in store for Omar when he returns in season 7. I hope they dont' put him with Ivan.
This season was way better than the past two seasons. They did not give us that much premise on who the murderer was but it did a little on that front. For example when the three siblings all get new cars and now we have three posible suspects. Then they had us believe for a second that ari was the main person of interest to then being Mencia to then being Sara all along. And at least Sara raul and mencia storyline does add up to the mystery. That being said the season could’ve been way better and it was nothing like the OG elite but at least it was sorta trying. PS: When I saw the clips from the OG trilogy my brain automatically compared this last season with first three and I immediately saw that it was nothing like the original lol😂
Season 6 made no sense. Firstly, everyone in the elite universe is somehow gay and open. And yet, Patrick's father dies of a homophobic attack that only lasts for ONE episode. 2. The guys who gang SA were chemically castrated, yet still have a sex drive to re-offend. Chemical castration is more than just ED.
ELITE after season 3 died, its sad to recognize it but that's the way it is. After the writer and creator left at the end of season 3, it was GAME OVER.
Actually watched your other video on the show yesterday and was wondering what you'd think about the new season because I felt like it was better somehow. I wasn't too excited with the new season as I didn't like the last ones too much but I was kinda bored in the evening so I watched. And yeah damn, Isadora really became an pretty interesting character this season! I think it's what made me be invastigated the most actually. And while I still can't stand Ari I must agree the grave scene was well done and yes, it made me feel at least a little bit sympathetic with her.
Way better than s5, but the only ones I like in this case is Ivan, Patrick, Isa, and Sara. Some are okay, but Ari is annoying and a wannabe Lu, and Mencia was trying too hard to show Sara the bad relationship she was in. She had an experience, but it’s not the exact same to where she knows what being in an abusing relationship is like. She was hypocritical about how Sara wouldn’t ask for help when she can’t even talk because she didn’t and almost got herself in bigger trouble. And it did seem more manipulative and for her benefit to get Sara with her. I hated both characters. As much as I love them both, Patrick and Ivan’s on and off relationship since they met was pissing me off, it was worse than Omar and Ander. There wasn’t any story with that guy that Omar helped in s5 (I forgot his name tbh) after running away when he found the body and kept stealing to get out of trouble with a gang then suddenly appeared in s6 and joined the group. But the plot lines weren’t bad this season and I felt so much than s4 except when Guzman and Ander left. I just really miss the old cast.
I thought it was disappointing. The new characters were boring re-runs of past characters, and they brought nothing new or fresh to the show. Lack of backstory again made all of the characters seem as though they were going nowhere fast. So disappointed with Patrick's character. No growth here. Just pining over Ivan, letting him treat him badly repeatedly. What happened to the fun Patrick? The temptor? Yes, I get that the lothario persona was a mask to hide his deeper insecurities? But he seemed to have so many insecurities that just didn't get resolved. Anyway, I think I'm done with this show. Had a good run but like most TV series, it ran out of steam. And that's what this series was: a whole lot of hot air.
I feel like Samuel’s death was a terrible idea and now they are looking for their footing without the brilliant underdog that we thought was going to make it. Every time I watch the opening, I was under the impression that he was one of the Es moving forward, portraying the value of hard work and ceasing opportunities while trying to do the right thing vs the easy. If you write off that character, it sounds like a nightmare to right the rest of the story. Did anybody else consider Benjamin to be a dark twisted version of Samuel like what would happen to him if he didn’t keep his conviction I saw him as the warning .
Season 1, 2, 3 was ELITE the downfall was season 4 but then I actually liked season 5 mostly because of Isadora, Patrick and Ivan. Now The new season is a mehh for me the new characters didn't even add anything to the show.
I had some issues with this season. At first, even if the new caracters, especially Nico, were really enjoyable, i found them too adult. Sara and Raul are the better exemple. The live together and have adult issues or they are just teenager. I don't think it's a real good idea to treat this kind of problem here. (we have Nico and the transphobia; the racism; the homophoby in football; drug; alcoholism; rape... Enough for 8 episods!) It's may be a direct consequence but i'm a little sad that they didn't really show the school. No more class or just a little time. You said, with reason, they are just teenager. In this season we just saw their in Party or drinking or do adult stuff. I'm surprised you didn't recall the masked party. I Laugh so hard with Raul and his mask. OMG how can they film that? Look the scene again, you will see him everywhere with his ridiculous mask. (And Mencia didn't recognise him with the voice... well...) Less sex; less school, they try to have a more mature vibe but that not really the aim of the serie and I think they lost themself. Some of the old caracters miss me (Nadia
Maybe in the future the series will totally ditch the schools and focus on adult problems? That means the OG cast could return? The school is pointless at this point.
This series died with the end of season 3. Season 1+2 were really good, season 3 was mediocre, but brought 1+2 to an end. Everything after that was just milking the cashcow and total garbage
The vibe of this season is just weird. The characters are imploding. I’m at S6E4 and don’t have the guy to finish it. I really want Patrick and Iván could have a better end.
I think a big problem is that topics changed but genre and tonality didn't. Or at least not in the right way. Its still a teen drama show with over the top story lines. They handled the one rapist like you would usually handle a cheate or a bullie who changed. The fact two of them go to jail but the one who regrets don't because hes "just a nice guy who made mistakes" doesn't go with me. Maybe it's because i relate to much to isa and what happened to her, but i think it would be better to let all of them face serious consequences. Not like the revenge tattoo, more like real justice by law. I know most of the time sadly no one is going to jail, but they portrait it like something you can make a redemption arc out off and it feels soo wrong to me. If he really was sorry, he would go to the police and tell them about his crimes even if it "steals" him his youth, because he has caused serious trauma on isa forever. As a show you have to show that and don't make him the good guy out of bad guys. Its such a serious topic and the show couldn't handle that properly becuase its a teen drama with all the tropes and clichés attached to it. But to be fairm most shows don't handle that topic good
I think elite is not at all good anymore I have lost interest in this show I saw season one as soon as it came out and all other season but as soon as every main character either died or ran always it’s been trash I hope that some of the old main characters come back or better yet that they end this show
The show suffers from trying too hard to show diversity, but then doing so in a superficial and stereotypical way. For example, the Rico character exists only as a means for Ari to carry on her relationship with Samu after Samu is killed - Rico even looks similar to Samu. So why make his transgender? Only to fill a quota. Similarly, the show decided it needed some coloured people but couldn’t resist making racism an element of their storylines. Again, superficial and childish storytelling. Another weakness is the on again/off again nature of Ivan’s and Patrick’s relationship. It reeks of having different writers working on different episodes without communicating with each other about the season arc. I am almost done with this show. Three stinker seasons in a row - three strikes and you’re out!
Right? I was annoyed by the black characters only being there to be there. We will understand that at the end of the day, it's Europe. They just did that for woke American audience.
@@ihatelife486 the black girls entire personality was her "African roots" 🤣 yet she knew nothing about Africa and was just using it as the punch line to every conversation
This was bc the writers and director were highly critised for the lack of representation… They clearly did not care enough to put an actual effort. Even in an interview with the director, he was asked why there weren’t any fat characters and we answered saying something along the lines “well we want to show the canon of beauty, that’s why every character has to look appealing”
Nico did play a big role near the end of Isadoras story line, about how isadora was able to get the medication and swap out that one guys hormones he was using to get bigger, basically neutering him which led to him and the other guy getting caught red handed (as well as the other guy’s “redemption” arc)
This show should've ended in season 3. Anything after that, is trash. Lu and Nadia are friends in NY. Nadia and Guzman are still together. Carla and Samuel ended up together. Ander and Omar ended up together. Cayetana learned to be ok with her situation. Valerio succeeds in Carla's family buisness. That's how Elite ended for me. Season 3.
i really really really hate this season.. especially the way patrick was treated. I think the only redeemable thing in this season is the inclusion of Nico, and not because his character was great, but because we don't usually see trans men in series.
I really think the OG characters must have been brought, it's totally injustice to the show and its audience. The show was not worth watching after seasons 3, and 4 somehow was lively because it had the contribution of Samuel and Rebeka but getting rid of characters will sooner or later lost its audience.
Season 6 is very good Season, very good story but Season 5 is better than S6, Season 5 is the best, I hope Season 7 & 8 get better like S5,S3,S4. I love Elite so much
I loved season 6 may be cause I m sticked to the careckters rathar than the drama specially the love story between ivan and patrick ended dramatically or may be there is more adveture in season 7
simple answer: no. no continuity from episode to episode, sex just to show sex, nonsensical storylines, always someone dying each season. it shouldve ended after season 3
It got worse. They never explained what happened to Christian, Guzman breaking up with nadia just so he can be with that ugly boy chick when he was over heels for nadia , Balil never going to jail over his thefts, etc etc, so stupid
I stopped watching after season 3, I got annoyed that Xander had cancer all season then he was magically cured by the end of that same season.. then I heard how after that it basically turned into soft porn. I just watched your videos on the last 3 season and I don’t think I’m going to go back and watch them. I’d prefer to remember it for how good it use to be.
THIS SEASON IS HORRIBLE. I have not even finished the this season. I don't believe this season made it to the top of the netflix chart. They took away what the show was about this season, a group of young Elites. I saw a bunch of average kids in that high school. We had a prince last two seasons. The show has fallen. Sad.
This was my least favourite season, I had to force myself to watch it which is probably why I hate it so much but the main reason is that I just hate all these new characters, I have no connection to them, I just cant stand them, not even one
what the fuck was the ending of the season about, i mean about the scene when isadora talks with didac and then shit goes down wtf???? are we gonna now have mafia wars at elite wtf actuallly

To be fair, they’ve been doing this since season 2- Christian
the way Samuel's ending was glossed over was terrible
But they said where Phillipe went
How do you know he’s returning for season 7 and even if there’s gonna be a season 7

I just really miss Carla, Lu and Ander.. 😭, Issadora is okay ig, I wish we could've followed the og cast's story into college and maybe even working life (gossip girl style).
Carla was the goat😭
I agree with a lot of your opinions. Nobody brings up that Cruz was really problematic as he was literally pining over an underage character. And the show just killed him off... so you can't even talk about how messed up that was. No matter if he was in the closet or out, no one should be able to have s*xual relations with a minor and face no consequences for that. Its as if being a p*do is okay in this show...
Honestly! I thought that was going to be the big scandal after he came out at the conference. But no?…
honestly the creators' minds scare me
@@ninalempicka2948 literally or how they tried to give the rapist a redemption arc like they didn't commit a whole crime
love every season
Ofc it’s not an issue, as Patrick has legally the age of consent
Season 3 was the realest and the links between the characters were great. Every other season has just been 30 different ‘main’ storylines. Whereas season 3 was one main storyline and they built the character storylines around the mystery
If you think S1 was 30 different non-connected storylines, you haven't watched it
The best way for them to end Elite is by making every student of Las Encinas graduate in season 7 , and when all that ends they could make a perfect season 8 which will be set between season 5 and season 6 centred to Samuel death . That way all the OG character will come back for the finale season.
I agree og characters saying good by to Samuel
Most of the OG actors said they won’t be coming back especially Lu and Carla
Lu said she would like to appear in the final season. Nadia and Omar and their parents are confirmed to return for season 8.@gregorym4899
For me season 3 was where it's at. It's where the characters went from badly drawn caricatures to real people that you can root for despite their misbehaviour (Lu for example)
Kudos for your review, I'll take your word for it and skip this season
don’t skip it bru it’s so good
this season wasn’t as good as season 1 but MUCH better than the past few seasons. i really like it.
I am really glad to hear it!
@ragdaalhamwi781s3 was lmao
@@cedsoo1k season three was the best
yeah i agree with you
So I can just skip seasons 4-5 and go straight from 3 to 6?
Totally agreed! Even the ending cliffhanger felt like something 13 reasons why would do.
YES THIS.
I agree. Past seasons doesn't have any characters that's completely antagonist like in S6's Hugo, Alex, those racists, etc.
not the hippie girl 😭😭
So your problem is that it's *checks notes* too real?
Yeah the investigation scenes in the first 2 seasons are iconic!
exactly!! watching polo break down with guilt and second-guessing his choices while cayetana manipulated him was such good writing, it's so sad the showmakers didn't want to do it again
he never actually DID anything to her, there was an attempt, but yeah, it's kinda dissapointing to see him not facing any consequences. but after all, wasn't that the point of the show? rich people can get away with everything and it hurts other people
@@kittycat1887 he didn’t rape Caye, but he did assault her. Yes, good point- the show really is abt how rich people don’t have to face consequences 😐
@@carlableiker3752 ik he assaulted her, but I've already explained why they possibly didn't make him face the consequences
Right on point! Too many serious issues being tackled at once.
I wouldn't say "sleeping with your boyfriend's father" but "grooming your underage son's boyfriend". It's the Ezra and Aria thing but gay.
🎯🎯🎯well said.
I loved this season, they didn't romanticized the SA and ended up talking about a lot of themes, bringing dept to characters! My fav was Isadora.
Exactly.
They made Sara hit Ivan so they could justify her presence in the next season. I thought about it and the only relationship she has with other character are beyond shallow, Mencia is her only friend and I can wait how it will be all discovered next season
This season was fine, definitly not the worst. BUT i totally didn't connect the dots between the benjamin kids going away with their dad and the actors atcually leaving the show omg
there was stil so much to do with Ari's plotlines, and Mencia-Sara-Raul plotline (i was hoping for a fake friendship while they hide the fact that THEY framed her ??) and idk i guess they could've done anything with Patrick-Ivan/Benjamin
I can't imgine what season 7 is gonna be without them, they felt lke the last string of familiarity from the original cast/show and now they're gone too...
I just don’t want Patrick to leave and everything would be great
I agree. I hope he returns somewhere down the road and leave his toxic sisters and horrible dad where they currently reside.
Season 7 better mention Samuel's death more since Omar will be back.
What? Have you missed Patrick fck1ng Ivan’s dad and Ivan fck1ng Patrick sister? Love is kinda strong word haha
@@luka7678 he's 17,everybody experiments and if you were paying attention he told his dad Patrick was the one but Ari drove him crazy and he didn't know why. @@paulbale3872 does it still justifies that they are keeping everything in family? Its more of an obsession than love. If you are able to cheat on your boyfriend with his sister/father thats probably worst type of cheating and no matter the reasoning its not just. But we all have different meanings on what love is.
@@paulbale3872 Yeah constant on/off and cheating, what an amazing love story....
I'm surprised you didn't bring up the very last scene. To me it felt like the writers are *really* giving up at this point, that felt so lazy.
If I had to rank all seasons this is how I would rank them
2>1>3>6>5>/=4
Season 2 was perfect.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Season 4 had ogs
Loved this deep dive! I stopped watching halfway into season 4- couldn’t do it anymore-I’m glad you made these videos!
Elite ended on it's third season. Every other season, for me, it's a whole different series.
The one thing that is most bothering me is the fact none of the og characters is still around
I'm all in for new characters but like, couldn't they have kept at least one of them? xD It's like a completely new show
I of course have my thoughts on the plots of each season and about the characters (like, why does Ari have to be all about alcohol and sex? She's obviously got more than that to her) but I am enjoying the show overall
I really like Ivan as he seems like such a sane character compared to all others xD Although I feel like he kinda lost it during the season
I also like how Mencia became more hmm mature(?) or rather free now
I feel like Patrick deserves to be happy and be with Ivan
I'm happy things have gone well with Isadora and that the rapers are gone
I'm mostly missing Rebe :( I loved her character so much and I honestly don't even know where she went
Cause Patrick is of legal age, it's not illegal for Cruz to hook up with him. Inappropriate sure.
Isadora is probably the only interesting character left now. I'm annoyed with Patrick and Ivan's dynamic. Mancia was great but she's out now. Cruz was interesting too but he's dead now. Ari was always annoying. I don't really care about any of the others, can't even remember any other important characters.
They need to shut this school down like fr. A bunch of psychopaths in there.
Ok so the thing I really liked this season was isadora and I just think she should be the center on season 7
@@timothymoore6341 totally agree!!!
as an Spanish speaker I love the way you pronounce their names 🫶
the only reason i still watch elite is for andre and manu and the aesthetics
It was definitely better than the last 2 seasons, i quite enjoyed it.
Chemical castration is more than just ED.
season 1-3 were elite
seasons 4/5 were not good
but 5 sets up 6 well and it has been solid (not done with it yet)
ELITE after season 3 died, its sad to recognize it but that's the way it is. After the writer and creator left at the end of season 3, it was GAME OVER.
I enjoyed this season far more than the previous 2, and the writing just had more depth (as you mentioned).
IMO this was, by far, the worst season. Maybe I’m in the minority, but I even preferred S5 to S6. It just did not work for me AT ALL.
"The walking and breathing Bermuda Triangle" 🤣
Great points man, but I still find the fact that they changed the cast absurd. I never would have expected it to go that way.
Enough for 8 episods!)
It's may be a direct consequence but i'm a little sad that they didn't really show the school.
(And Mencia didn't recognise him with the voice... well...)
Less sex; less school, they try to have a more mature vibe but that not really the aim of the serie and I think they lost themself.
Everything after that was just milking the cashcow and total garbage
i'm one of the few people that like the new cast better than the og ones
I enjoyed this season surprisingly. Much better than the recent ones.
Maybe i am dumb , but the scenes of characters getting in car threw me off .
to be honest, the Series should've probably ended around season 2-3. Because what the heck? Why are these kids repeating yesrs non stop.
But to be fairm most shows don't handle that topic good
The Benjamins = Bermuda Triangle. Brilliant.
The best explanation
@@minmo00 in other words, the moral of the story is don't force diversity. Allow it to occur in a show as it does in real life.
Nico did play a big role near the end of Isadoras story line, about how isadora was able to get the medication and swap out that one guys hormones he was using to get bigger, basically neutering him which led to him and the other guy getting caught red handed (as well as the other guy’s “redemption” arc)
please have tennager lokking like tenagers on the next season, it'd already be somehting to behold
Nope they should have ended it after 3 seasons 👍🏻
I just want samuel back I feel like killing him off was the stupidest thing or atleast bring back guzman
I love Elite so much
I'm waiting for the next season.
I’m so glad I watched this…saved me like 8 damn near hour long episodes of my life lol 😂.
No, but thanks for asking.
aren't you going to talk about the TERRIBLE acting? as a native Spanish speaker, I find the acting and the dialogues sort of unbearable
i hate that seasons 4 and on are bad bc i personally love ivan and want to watch just for him😭
15:54 i agree with u
I guess because it's a rich school they can get away with murder and crime but at this point the kids are not learning anything
Congrats on 1k! 🎉
Thank you!
It got worse. They never explained what happened to Christian, Guzman breaking up with nadia just so he can be with that ugly boy chick when he was over heels for nadia , Balil never going to jail over his thefts, etc etc, so stupid
Quick answer: No. Show got worse when more and more of the old cast left, especially when they killed off Samuel
Can I skip season 4 and 5? Or I need to watch it to understand season 6?
I stopped watching after season 3, I got annoyed that Xander had cancer all season then he was magically cured by the end of that same season.. then I heard how after that it basically turned into soft porn. I just watched your videos on the last 3 season and I don’t think I’m going to go back and watch them. I’d prefer to remember it for how good it use to be.
I cannot continue this show after season 5 ending
Answer: No
THIS SEASON IS HORRIBLE.
I think when Isadora was looking though her contacts she could have called Caye or Philipe
I would of had been fine with only the there season with the whole cast and after Samuel girl Carla left
2:57 This guy looks NOTHING like a teenager 😂
He is actually the younger actor on Élite, lol. He was like 18 or 19
whats the song at min 16:08?
what the fuck was the ending of the season about, i mean about the scene when isadora talks with didac and then shit goes down wtf???? are we gonna now have mafia wars at elite wtf actuallly
