The choreo is fine and that's why so many people try to cover the song and choreo. The covers try to be sexy but the thing you picked up on is how EXO is great at isolating body parts. They don't just gyrate and do regular body rolls. It's just those isolated parts while not moving the rest of the body. The same thing in all the covers of EXO's Love Shot too. Most covers body roll with their whole body; lack of details. That's why EXO's original choreo is hard to copy.
