To see monster's strength at different Shattered Realm shards, check out www.grimtools.com/monsterdb-sr/ and adjust the SR shard lvl in the top middle. Thank you Sauroc for pointning this out.
I have trialled a few new characters and collected whatever lore notes i can to get a jump start with levelling. x1 in devils crossing x2 coven of ugdenbog x2 barrowholm x1 burrwitch outskirts x6 conclave of the three (hidden door has one too) x1 Vanguard of the three x2 fort ikon x1 Gates of necropolis With exp potion, lokarr set and x2 leonidus rings (when hitting level 10 to equip them both) i managed to hit level 17. Hope this helps :D love the content
Thanks for the very helpful guide! I really like the tip on taking away mastery skill limits to check the scaling for overcapping skills. Do you know if we can adjust the devotion skill levels? Seems like by default the tooltips show the effects for the max level of the devotion skills. It would be helpful to see how they scale during the leveling stage when we first acquire the devotions.
@@rektbyprotoss I see, thanks! By the way have you considered doing a hardcore guide? There's lots of good stuff out there but we could always use your wisdom!
Hi, thanks for your Basic Guide Series. I have one Question to this Episode. In the Build Section of Grim Tools there is "Weapon Attack" Is there a way it calculating me a a certain skill like Eye of Reckoing? I didnt find any way. Or is there another tool in the internet which can do this? Couldnt find one with google. I know its possible to calculate it self, but with a newbie knowledge there is a high change you calcuate something wrong and make bad decisions. Get i flagged on Grim Leauge, when i make a copy of my savegames and i make some tests offline (with the copy)?
Could you do a tutorial on how to configure and use the GD STASH MOD? I've watched a few videos and it doesn't seem like the people who are explaining what it is and how it works knows anymore than I do. I believe I've seen you use it in one of your speed leveling guides? I could be wrong. Id feel much more comfortable attempting its use if I knew a bit more and you seem to be the go to guy for all things GD! I don't care about using cheat gear Id just like to be able to hoard gear I find while leveling without having to use 20 mules and all the hassle that comes with that. It could be a nice addition to you GD Basics guides
I don't use GD Stash for items, only GD Item Assistant. Good point I could make a quick tutorial about it, but I think most of it should be clarified in its forum thread: forums.crateentertainment.com/t/tool-grim-dawn-item-assistant/30491
Have you done one of these that go over how to properly gear and scale damage while not sacrificing defenses? I’m pretty new and am just wondering what I should be looking for when gearing especially when playing hardcore
for some reason i cant get to the bottom of the screen on the build calculator. its so god damn annoying. its just cut off for me and i cant scroll down >< at least i can zoom out
Thanks for this one man, extremely helpful. I have a stupid question for you. I had to reset my Windows 10 and I wound up losing all my bookmarks. One of them was a link to a utility from github that helped plot devotion paths. I'm going nuts without it and I think I found the link in one of your comments sections. If you have the link would you please post it for me? It seems like one of the theory crafting tools you'd have handy. Thanks again for all your work.
I'm sorry, I didn't even know that link existed, I just do devotions on my own :D maybe my episode 3 (link in the description) where I talk about devotions can help you out. If not, lemme know which kind of questions you have reguarding devos.

Sir, you have taken up the mantle that Malagant left behind. I assume he got burned out. Oh well, you're providing a valuable service and I thank you.
Hey man, another great video. They're very well structured and easy to follow. Cheers!

This video should be embedded in the game and played before you start the campaign ; ]
Wish i could like it more than once. Fantastic guide, wondelful game and awesome website.

Unfortunately you can't do that for devotions in grimtools.

@@rektbyprotoss Thanks for the reply and the link! Ill have a look at it!
Awesome video!
I'm trying to build a pyromancer with the obsidian juggernout, any tips for the leveling, and any weapon suggestion until I have it?
Can't really give you too many tips rn as I'm on vacation, but you can always check out my Pyromancer speedleveling videos.
Maybe the itemisation part of this video can help you out aswell: ua-cam.com/video/dhBjO80zK1Q/v-deo.html
late to the game... but is there a "time-warp" function to see in which order I should spend my skill points to follow a build guide?
No, that's why I usually provide "snapshots" of every couple of levels in the description of my beginner build guides.
Have you done one of these that go over how to properly gear and scale damage while not sacrificing defenses? I’m pretty new and am just wondering what I should be looking for when gearing especially when playing hardcore
I linked you the EP. 8 earlier iirc. Was that helpful? Let me know what questions are still left unanswered.
@@rektbyprotoss yes sorry I posted this comment before I realized you were on twitch. Amazing content all around thanks for the videos

I'm using steam deck and I can't see the save file so I can't upload
So how can you see your damage for a spell / attack on Grimtools? Can't figure it out.
You can't.
You have to go off the weapon damage, %damage and experience.
@rektbyprotoss Damn okay. Was hoping it would be like PoB where you could see skill dps. No worries, thanks for answering and the video :).

How to find secret medal in grimtools?
It's a secret ;-)
Really good for beginners, nice.
You thought I'm gonna drop a cheesy one liner, but I'm bored, so you just wasted your time scrolling.
16:25 is it Jagged Waste or Pine Barrens???
Both. You fight the manticores in the jagged waste to get the gland, and you turn it in to the camp in pine barrens
¿Por qué no los dos?
