- With each week we focus on a new project, and this week was all about our campervan! With so many hands helping us push these projects forward, we're thrilled to be picking up speed and feeling MUCH less exhausted than we were this time last year. In fact, it's been such fun at the workshop that we've felt more energized! In January! 😅🥶

Cabin Progress Report: Only furniture remains. Next up we'll need to move forward with the downstairs "U" couch, and a few units at the upstairs landing zone, along with a "bar"
Container Stage: The floor boards & tiles are installed, first major layer of paint is done, and hoping that this coming week has an equal amount of progress! We'll need to get everything painted and prepped before adding the carpet, then the electrician can come and finalize all our internal and external outlets. We just got so much snow that hopefully we can finish painting the grey container, adding the door sticker, etc.
Campervan Update: HUGE moves happened this week. Next we're hoping to have the fridge up and running, trim complete, & monitor running. The next major section will be the reclining couch and the unit along it's side!

Thanks Judi! My step-sister Jackie wrote it for our wedding, and her daughter was there as her and our bro in law practiced and just jumped right in it melts meeee. Wish we had more video footage of Ladi in NZ that first week, he was the one who did all the recording early days I was behind the times!
Dang you guys are taking on a lot. I can appreciate how much work your doing while making video’s documenting it. I don’t think most people appreciate how much work you guys have been doing. You need a major break after all this as I’m sure this is wearing on you. You guys definitely aren’t afraid of work. Love your van build . Great cutting edge ideas built into that.

Maybe add one of those thin broomy strips used on bottoms of doors (sorry I don't know what to call them :'D ) to the back top of the spoiler to fill in that gap and brush anything of the edge of the solar?

Ram mount is what I used to mount my 24" tv in my van. I leave the tv/blu-ray powered and just loosen the clamp, laying the tv screen down on my bed during driving. May do something a bit better once I live in it a while, but good for now.

Primalex is always my wall paint of choice (I live in neighboring Slovakia). They make several types of white paint, they differ by what can be described as color temperature. Primalex Standard is a kind of neutral white paint, then there's Primalex Polar which is bright white. Then if I remember correctly they also have kind of dirty white for places like cellars where there's no need for shining white.
Also from my experience wet paint is always darker so if that was wet then it's perfectly normal.

I am loving everything that Ladi is printing with the 3D printer for the van and for the cabin. 💞
I am usually a poor judge of color and even I could see that color was not white. Not even close. Hope it dried to a more manageable hue. 🙄

for the heating you can go for geothermal heating "vertical one, because you may need to add more building later "
it is a great solution, will cost upfront but will save ton of money later
and will work perfect on both summer "for cooling" and winter " for heating"

What happened to the "Lay-z-boy Recliner in a van" idea that we were promised ages ago? Ditched too? (it was one of the dopest ideas I was looking forward to)
Very good you remember. We just bought some aluminum and we’re aiming on welding a base for it this week. The heater is finally installed in the van so the recliner is next!
@@ladiandmargaret you guys are overthetop - like, where are you gonna place it? Looking forward to actually seeing that episode. A van with a Lazyboy recliner, an air conditioner, and a Cub-Mini - is my definition of comfort on wheels.
Speaking of aluminium, now that Ladi has learnt how to weld aluminium maybe it's worth revisiting few bits and bobs made of steel.
I’m about to weld a frame over the heater right behind the driver. It will be a fun project, especially making the upholstery!
We won’t be going back and rebuilding old designs. We’ll wait for when they fail us to have a reason for upgrades. Otherwise we would never leave the workshop 😂

Hello. May I ask you, Ladi, what kind of filament (is it from Prusa?) you use for printing of those consoles? Do you have some special settings on printer (slower printing, or something else) to make them strong enough? ...Great work - as always ;)
