Maybe, maybe not. The previous two years, biggest issue was the Bengals opened with two strong opponents and Burrow was not healthy either year. This year the Patriots loss was bad, no excuses for that one. But the bigger issue is that it's easy to fire a coach, harder to hire someone who would be an improvement.
okay but so what?? Of all the problems that Cincy has, that’s probably problem #4 or 5. No matter what, the coach has to overcome the dysfunctional and cheap ownership, and as we’ve seen, that almost never happens. So focusing on this problem is silly and head-scratching
Zac Taylor should’ve been fired long time ago. Most accurate thing I heard was that his team is all FINESSE and no GRIT. It’s like a basketball team trying to play football. His flaws have just been hidden well due to Jamar, Joe, and Tee balling out these last few years. Both him and the GM have wasted prime opportunities for this team to make a run (had Joe on rookie contract and then Jamar… and wasted it both). In the AFC North you need TOUGH, not finesse
The Bengals have NOT been very good at drafting and developing under Tobin…at least in the last 4 years. Aside from no-brainer pics like Burrow and Chase who have they really drafted who has outperformed or turned into a good starter? Only in Cincinnati would a GM have lifetime employment the way Tobin does. To be fair, another problem could be Tobin‘s hands are also tied with regard to spending and roster management. The Brown fam seems to find ways to cheaply acquire as little talent as necessary rather than aggressively being committed to winning.
Points about Bengals coaching staff is on point. The trust in Tobin to put together a competent defensive roster is uninformed. Tobin trotted out this defensive roster when it was clearly a year that something special could happen on offense. EVERYONE knew before the season began that CB, DT and Edge was a problem. Nothing was done except throw in some unproven rookies and a washed up FA -DT Rankins in the mix. This front office/GM adjunct needs a change much more than the coaching staff.
You're smoking crack if you don't think the Bengals should fire Zac Taylor...absolute lunacy to think otherwise. He's lost the locker room, his strategies are 80% of the time entirely too risk adverse, his pre-season strategy is very passive and lackadaisical, and their pattern of slow starts to seasons is NOT the trademark of a championship team. Zac Taylor was a good transition coach, not a good championship coach. His record proves this. The Bengals success in previous seasons is due to the star players they have, not the coach, and certainly not the play calling.
Cincinnati has a troubled past and future. Burrow would be wise to leave before he gets hurt. The Browns are committed to protecting their bottom line...not him.
fire zac taylor.
So the fact that the Bengals are never ready to start the season has nothin to do with Taylor??
or trash in the division every year

Mikey Brown is the problem in Cincinnati.
Why does Albert Breer always look and sound like he’s concerned and disappointed?? It’s like he’s permanently worried
Whose phone was buzzing towards the end of the video
News flash brian flores is from Brownsville Brooklyn Duke
Everything he said about the Bengals coaching is correct! The players are the problem, including the QB
Who would hire Jerry Jones the GM? 😂 . You can have him for a ham sandwich
I don't follow Uber closely, but how nobody is mentioning the loss of dj reader is beyond me
HIRE MORE SCOUTS AND FIRE TOBIN!!!! THAT is the ONLY way to save the Bengals' future...Of course Mike Brown passing on will help start the process...
Firing taylor won't change the fact Duke and company are still here they brought him in fire zac won't fix that
Albert Breer, there is no way Mike Vrabel is putting up with the Jets Aaron Rodgers passive-aggressive personality or the owner.

Cersei Blackburn and Mike Brown are running this team into the ground! They don't want to win games they want to win contract negotiations!!

How tf is Zac Taylor the problem?? What other coach would do better than Taylor’s done. We all know the problem in Cincy and it’s the ownership durrrr

Taylor is terrible.
