14 day through Holland by bicycle - Day 6: Trip to Haarlem and Zandvoort

A holiday trip by bike through the Netherlands. After reaching the mouth of the Rhine, I follow the EuroVelo 12 along the coast along the North Sea northwards in the direction of the Afsluitdijk.

Immer denke ich wieder schade dieser Tata Steel horizont im Dunen landschaft. Mfg.

Ich kenne das gar nicht anders dort. War irgendwie schon immer so, solange ich mich daran erinnern kann. Gehört irgendwie dazu. Das ist eben typisch Holland, dass sich die Landschaften schlagartig ändern. Ich kann mich noch an eine Situation auf der Zuiderzeeroute erinnern, wo ich auf weites, offenes Feld blicke. Landwirschaft, Bauernhöfe und grüne Wiesen. Aber ein Radhinweisschild gibt mir dort Amsterdam mit 1km Entfernung an. Und i.d.T waren wenige Meter hinter mir die ersten Hochhäuser zu sehen. Irgendwie hat das seinen Reiz, auch wenn eine Industriekulisse nicht jedermanns Sache ist.

It is not like we are overjoyed it is there. Sure rather not to have them, just, we like to eat, and that means either become a service industry, or try to do the best you can. It is not like you have that problem, right?
