- My 2020 pandemic project while in lockdown. Making a 3/4 double bass with the body made of heat formed polycarbonate sheets. The neck scroll, fingerboard and accessories came from Ali-express as a kit.

Its already changed to white. Will probably change it again.

Wayne awesome work. 2 Questions: Where did you get the mounting hardware for the neck to body and what glue did you use to join all the polycarbonate pieces together?
I made the locking mechanism myself out of brass. And the acrylic adhesive is Acrifix. It chemically welds the pieces together.

Its polycarbonate or Lexan. It's bulletproof.

Nice project. How much does it weight?
Its way too heavy. I have plans to contour the front and back more to lighten and maybe boost the acoustics

Not selling. This was a covid lockdown project. I think it would be too expressive and time consuming to sell.
