Tutima is a brand that I was very interested in reviewing last year when I was going through a German watch phase, but they didn't respond to my multiple emails to get a review unit, and I wasn't ready to take the secondary pricing hit after buying one new. But thankfully a friend of mine was letting this go and in mint condition, so I jumped at the opportunity to finally check one out. I was also lucky that this is the exact reference that I was hoping to review, the M2 Seven Seas in the yellow dial on the kevlar hybrid strap.
Tutima is from the Glashütte region, which is home to some of the finest watchmakers Germany (and Europe) has to offer. The Glashütte region hold themselves to much higher standards than the majority of watchmaking establishments, and their quality is usually evident even from a quick glance at brands like A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte Original, Moritz Grossmann and NOMOS just to name a few.
This is the M2 Seven Seas from their diver collection and has a retail price of around $1900 USD. Tutima has a rich history in making excellent tool watches, and I feel like the modern M2 collection is a good way to experience the brand. Although I would also love to check out the Patria collection next.

Couldn't decide between this and a Pelagos , so did what most watch enthusiasts would do , bought both. So far the Tutima gets most wrist time!

Thanks for watching! Buying both is always the right choice.

Good look at a solid offering. As an owner you really do need to check out the Patria, it is very good.

Thanks for looking. I have read your pieces on the Patria, and come across your photographs of it too (unless you aren't 13lignes, in which case I apologize). I recently convinced a friend to order one, so I might get to see one eventually!

I really like the design ! Something seems a bit off with the hands though. They look a bit thin/undersized.

I like them, but yeah, compared to the width of the hands on the Sinn, they look a bit narrow.

@@BeansAndBezels As for me I prefer the skinny hands to those chunky ones. Just a matter of taste, I guess.

They need to make a 39mm version. Then we'll talk. Just a tad big for skinny folks. Good review!

39mm would be too small since the dimensions make the watch wear like a square. So I think 42mm would work for wrists under 6" too, provided they add more articulation to the rubber strap at the end links.
