There are two things that keep my interest in watches fresh after all these years: super high end independents which I will never be able to afford, and smaller tool-watch manufacturers like Damasko, Tutima, etc who just give you the best they can for the price
I picked up a yellow dial on rubber last year. I absolutely love it! The strap is one of the most comfortable I've ever worn. I absolutely love the quality feel of it; it really does feel like an awesome tool watch. As someone with an 8 inch wrist, I wouldn't mind it being a bit larger in all dimensions, but this is a decent size for most people. I like the M2 so much, I'll probably pick up the orange one very soon...
We all see how fantastic your composition and editing are, but the creative and playful script is a real treat. Us OR watch lovers appreciate the way you rep the PNW. Cheers!
@@YoureTerrific it is a compliment! Please keep doing great videos! I like channels like yours, specially when you post videos about watches outside the “social media trio” (Rolex/Omega/Tudor).
Airline pilot here. We work all the days of the week, seemingly at random; and so never know what day it is. “Is it Tuesday. No, it’s Saturday? Oh, right, it’s Wednesday”. Besides telling accurate time, having screw-down crown with at least 100 m water-resistance, being comfortable, and indicating a second time zone; I would say that having both day and date on my watch is next most important.
Nice review of a nice watch! Having spent weeks at a time on a vessel at sea (not diving, though) it's really nice to have an immediate reminder of regular passage of time when every day blends into one. Especially in the Arctic circle in summer! Cheers!
I was thinking yeah I like this a lot, and I really like the strap with the orange piping, but then at 8:23 that closeup really got me. The way the execution of the hands go so well with the indices and the black base of the hour minute hands matching the seconds hand; really handsome! I do like being able to have the day in Yiddish. That's a plus for me too
Great review of a true divers gem out there! I owned the same watch with the blue dial and it's indeed great bang per buck. I agree that the watch sits very comfortable on smaller wrists but I would also prefer it to be 42mm. At 6 inch or less it looks just too big. But as it's a very sporty watch you can get away with it imho. As I sold mine I'm really looking forward to get my hands on this organge dial version... thanks for showing, Evan!
A point about German-language day complications. The three-letter German day abbreviations only exist on watches. In "real life" German day abbreviations are only two letters each.
i really like the date complication on german watches, especially with the german option. it does seem like german watch design includes shrouded lugs and the H link bracelet. nice review, i've been wondering why no one reviews tutima watches they seem very high quality.
Instead of the sub300, you could've suggested the 300t, which is also steel, but is WR to 1300m and is much less than the regular 300, as it's not chronometer certified.
I like the both yellow and red, but think the yellow needs darker hands. Good eye"s would struggle reading day/date, no need for the day display for me.
I like it, but….Titanium is a complicated material. It always looks cool, but at the same time looks either like plastic (with a weight to match) or like the kitchen sink (if brushed). Gotta say I like the orange and the overall design (strap included). Anyway, great vid as usual. 👍🏼
I would offer the mido ocean star 600 chrono for $1700 as an alternative also. Nice video, fun watch, fun in the way a ruler is good at drawing straight lines, but it’s orange. An orange ruler. (I think the ocean star 200 is the better option though)
This watch just smacked me across the face so hard! I love it ..... I want it .... but for some reason I don't see it available on the Japanese website 😭
Tutima in my heart will be always the Nato Pilots Chronograph with Lemania 5100 in titanium which I will never part it with since it took me the time and effort to find one in good condition.
@@YoureTerrific its shape make it very wearable on my flat top 6 inch wrist. Painful part is there no tutima dealer/service center in my country unfortunately
Don't like the watch, but that's not important. I didn't click to learn about the watch, I clicked for that presentation, composition, editing and the sharp wit... Thanks, as always
Nice watch, however bring back the DI-300 ,looks better.also Tutima needs to coat their Ti watches with something like Seiko or Citizen's Duratec.ever see an older Tutima in Ti where the case and bracelet do not look beat,I havent.
Not for me, too grey, too expensive, and I have never understood the reasoning behind day date windows on a dive watch. And 26mm strap lugs? It will look like a Flik Flak. But I love my orange monsters. Don't ask me to explain, I can't.
Pretty torn between this one and the one with the yellow dial. While orange is one of my favorite colors, there's something that seems pretty unique about the yellow dialed variant... Update: now I'm a little interested in the stainless steel variant for its lack of the day indicator and green/yellow gradient dial. I just don't like the shininess of the stainless steel casing... Regardless, I can't find these things anywhere since I'm in the US. Oh well =/

You sir, are a man of excellent taste.
You manage to make me interested in watches that... I'm actually not interested in. Das macht Spaß, indeed.
Wunderbar

Feels like a Seiko Samurai and a Tudor Pélagos had the most weird babe…but I liked!
That sounds like a compliment to me.

Awesome review! I wish tutima would make a watch under 42 mm.
You're right-on regarding removing the day and moving the date to six o'clock. That would make this watch much more serene to behold.
Prettyy Good!!! As good as Ray1))) Solid Ti. Orange in divers - perfect, especially with black accents.
Such a cool watch. Would fit well with my Sinn and Damasko collection.
For sure
Thank you, I’d never thought to look at my frontal lobe before.
It’s a good way to check that you have one.
I'm really charmed by this one. The logo, the font, the bracelet. It's utilitarian and unapologetically German.
Great review. Thanks for bringing this watch to my attention!
My pleasure
I have been a fan of Tutima for a while now, but this watch is seriously desirable. Thanks for the review.
Seriously

I have complicated feelings regarding German watchmakers and our people.
@@YoureTerrific ditto
Been slowly falling in love with the German, dull steel/titanium, integrated, 80’s looking watches like these. The Sinn 144 also comes to mind 🤔
Oh, hell yeah.
I need a list of all the other ones you’ve found that fit this category! Certainly my cup of tea.
day is very important as I need to count how many days till friday
I like this . A lot . Thank you for introducing us .
That’s why this channel exists.
Great piece and well produced video. I’m with you…I like my orange a bit brighter. This is a looker, though!
Yeah, really handsome.
Bought this after watching. Thanks Evan!

How is it that I have never heard of this brand? Great vid as always! Keep up the good work! I own a Sinn T2 and love that watch.

I tried the black dial one and it's great, the only watch that can compete wit the Sinn T2!
You might be right.

Yes 👍 not another Rolex- Tudor-Omega. Thank you!

looks great. Prob a touch bright for me personally, but love the look of it

@@YoureTerrific haha I’ve got the orange 🍊 Autodromo … does that count ?

Pay attention to the "Made in Germany" inscription. Is that symmetrical?

Like if a Tag Heuer 2000 and a Sinn 809 had a baby and it wore a Doxa dial face lol. Tutima has some cool watches!
How i wish they make this in 40 or 41mm.
